Revdex.comAttn: [redacted]100 Bryant Woods SouthAmherst, NY 14228Revdex.com # [redacted]Dear Ms. [redacted],We have received your letter on March 7,...

2016 on the above subject and would like to comment on the twoboilers installed in the [redacted] in Youngsville, PA. We have reviewed all the informationavailable on the job with our Appalachian Regional Sales Manager (RSM), Mark B[redacted] and Wholesale Distributor[redacted] Company Jamestown, NY who sold the equipment that is installed at [redacted]ECR International, Inc. (ECR) as the manufacturer of the [redacted] Boilers stands behind the written warranty of theproduct that was supplied with the equipment We have never denied any coverage or refused any type ofwarranty availability for this installation. From my position I feel that [redacted] is looking to ECR employees to repair and or replace the equipmentthat was purchased and installed in 2012. As the original equipment manufacturer we do not have serviceemployees who are licensed plumbing and heating contactors or offer services to repair equipment in the field. That is the responsibility of the installing professional or a local HVAC contractor per the owner's choice. OurTechnical Service Department is here to support our distributors and their contractor base in helping themtroubleshoot ECR branded products that are installed in the field. This equipment was originally installed by [redacted] is .in the business to install andservice equipment as an HVAC contractor. As the original installer Mr. [redacted] is no longer involved in this joband it looks like he may not go back since he is still owed over $3,000.00 in material cost by [redacted] and the[redacted] had advised me personally that he had reduced his totalinvoice and waived all additional charges along with his labor that was associated with the invoice, he is stilllooking for payment at this time.Revdex.com # [redacted]Mark B[redacted] (ECR I RSM) and Western NY [redacted]suggested to the Y[redacted] an optional service company by the name of [redacted] Since the church requires a contractorwho can service the equipment, [redacted] was suggested by the sales team in the field. We were later advised bya third contractor [redacted] that [redacted] declined to get involved in this job as told by PastorHamrick.February 3, 2016 4:42PM was the first of three (3) calls from contractor [redacted] (814.688.5830) to ECR inregards to the Y[redacted]. Mr. [redacted] claims that [redacted] contacted him forservice work at the church. As of the time of this call he has not been back on site to review the boilers or theinstallation. It is my understanding that Mr. [redacted] has done past work at the church. During this call he hadasked ECR employee [redacted] "Who's paying my bill?" He was advised by Dave to talk to the church forpayment. Mr. [redacted] stated that "I don't mind going down, but I am not going for free anymore." Dave againadvised Mr. [redacted] to talk to [redacted] for payment since it is not ECR position to pay for his labor. On February 9, 2016 Mr. [redacted] called again with concerns on the installation, but also asked multiple times·"why would I come over for nothing" .... and "Someone is going to pay me ... I am not doing it for free." He wasagain advised to talk to the Pastor at the Church, it is not our position to pay labor under the guidelines of thewarranty. NOTE: Please be advised that I personally reviewed each inbound and outbound call recording relatedto this job. There is a trend here of either contractors not being paid for work performed or contractors afraid of gettinginvolved and looking for ECR International, Inc. to cover their labor cost. ECR is here to support our productoffering and honor any and all parts under the supplied warranty guidelines through a qualified heating contractor. If parts are required they will have to be ordered by the contractor through one of our local wholesale distributorsin the area. In regards to the request for labor to cover any issues at the site, it is not ECR responsibility to pay forwork to be performed on site. Enclosed is a copy of the Warranty for review in regards to our position. Our WarrantyStainless Steel Condensing Water BoilerLimited Warranty Effective 6/1/2011By this warranty statement ("Limited Warranty}, ECR International, Inc. Replacement material will be invoiced to thedistributor in the usual manner and will subjected to adjustment upon proof of defect. The letter sent to the Revdex.com by [redacted] did not mention that these boilers are installed in the church, or thatthe parishioners have attempted to do work on the building that had direct effect to the heating system andpossibly the boilers. I would like to also suggest that [redacted] see that Mr. [redacted] is paid his full amount due and then ask him if he will come back on site as the original contractor towork with the church and ECR to resolve any installation I product issues. From my position [redacted] isvery well qualified and comes highly recommended by the field sales team and the distributor. If the Revdex.com has any additional questions, please feel open to communicate with my office.Scott P. received from the Revdex.com on September 181h in reference to Mr. [redacted]'s complaint to your office. We have reviewed the letter and the additional information supplied by our Canadian sales agency Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted]The model boiler in question is a 97% high efficiency gas fired hot water boiler for home residential use at 100,000 btu hr input. The boiler was built as a natural gas boiler and required to be field converted to propane by a qualified heating contractor for his application. We question who installed and set this boiler up for the proper fuel use and combustion requirements per the installation manual. The information supplied claims he purchased it direct from Northeast and did not list an installer name on the warranty registration card returned to our company, or in the complaint. What was listed is a installer as "(Self Employed)" which we do not understand who they are making reference to on the warranty registration. In our manual we require that products are installed by a qualified agency both in Canada and the United States.Mr. [redacted] reports that he was on site in April/ May of this year and advised Mr. [redacted] of his concern with the antifreeze concentration contributing to the operation noise. The same information was discussed with Mr. [redacted] in September and relayed back to Mr. [redacted]. In regards to other components within the boiler, the warranty covers parts for 1-year from date of installation. The factory supplied warranty did not allow for coverage of labor or anything external of the boiler that was installed on to his heating system. (Warranty copy enclosed) The request of his desired settlement of removing and installing a new boiler along with $3,565.00 is not on the table. The boiler installation, fuel conversion, antifreeze concentration, venting cross contamination and combustion set up are all in question. Mr. [redacted] has been on site and supported Mr. [redacted] with a pump replacement and a field site visit, currently Mr. [redacted] cannot answer if the above issues were resolved when we have spoken earlier today. At this time Mr. [redacted] in Canada is taking the lead on supporting the [redacted] job and working on getting the installation resolved. [redacted]Revdex.comID: # [redacted]Homeowner: [redacted]Model: [redacted]Serial Number:  We do understand that he currently had a service contractor on site by the name of [redacted] working to resolve the issues for Mr. [redacted]. At this time I suggest we have Mr. [redacted] call while he is on site and talk to Mr. [redacted] at [redacted] in Canada. He can be reached at [redacted] . I know Mr. [redacted] will do his due diligence to see that the installation is correct and help the contractor resolve Mr. [redacted]'s issues.Cordially yours,
