Campus Partners sent my *** Loan account to Federal Student Aid (FSA) then FSA sent my account to a collection agency in Georgia. The collection agency told me that I was in default of my *** Loan. I do not believe I am in default as, I had made payments to campus partners. Campus Partners has no record of my payments, and said tpordyey sent my account to FSA and they would have all my information. FSA said they only handle the account and have no records of my payments, as well as the collection agency in Georgia.
All I have are receipts of my payments and the statements from Campus Partners. No one will tell me why they think I am in default of my *** loan.

Heartland ECSI (formerly Campus Partners) was the third party servicer for Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi prior to November 2017. Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education is the current servicer for this Federal Perkins Student Loan portfolio.
I have reviewed the above complaint. Based on our records, Ms. received a Federal Perkins Student loan from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on August 30, 2013, in the amount of $5,000.00.
In November 2017, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi liquidated their Federal Perkins Loan Portfolio. Liquidation occurs when a school (lender) ends their participation in the Federal Perkins Loan program and transfers their entire loan portfolio to FSA for servicing.
I have confirmed that Ms.s’ loan was current at the time of liquidation and her loan status was reported correctly to FSA. Based on her loan details reported in the National Student Loan Database System, she defaulted in December of 2017 after her loan was liquidated. She will need to contact FSA regarding the change in her loan status as it is now being serviced by FSA. The contact information for the U.S. Department of Education’s default group is listed below.
