Don't use this so called business
This so company needs to be shut down asap because they're taking money and not providing the service they claim to give you.
So many sad people in this world

The ECU Team provided excellent customer service, in Feb 2019, from my initial contact and their prompt call back, to sharing their analysis of my PCM and it's fix, to when it would be in my hands again. Thank you! Very pleased after installing it in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler fixing the P2305 Ignition Coil "B" Secondary Circuit and P0300 Randon/Multiple Cylinder Misfire detected. No issues a year later.

Thank you very much!

We are pleased to see you as a part of our family :) We are also happy that we were able to resolve your problem. Let us know if anything else is needed.

After a camshaft adjuster burned up a 2011 BMW 535i ECU - I purchased the clone service - sent in the proper replacement and about 2 days after getting it back the car was running perfect ! Repair cost for half the cost of a new one !

send send properly functioning computer. Has blocked my calls.
On January 26, 2019 I purchased an ECu for my 2005 Jeep Wrangler. The invoice number was MG646 and I was billed for $990.00 The first two ecms that were sent to me were bad. The truck would not start. I received a third ecm sometime in March 2019. This one worked for only three months. Contacted ecuteam and was told a new ecm would be sent out. On June 19, 2019 I called again to check when I could expect delivery. I was told that it would be shipped that day. I contacted ecuteam again on July 1,2019, again trying to see when my ecu would be delivered. I was told again that it would be shipped out that day. On July 22, 2019 I contacted ecuteam once again to see where my package was. It was at this time that I was informed that they were waiting on parts to come in from China. I was told that they will have the parts on Aug, 26, 2019. I contacted ecuteam on Sept 5, 2019 to inquire about my ecu being shipped. I received the same reply, your package will be sent by weeks end. On Sept 16, 2019 I attempted to contact ecuteam yet again to inquire about my ecu being shipped. I received no answer. I then attempted to contact ecuteam everyday up until September 23, 2019. At this time ecuteam has blocked my number. I have no way to contact them. My ecu is still under warranty and they are failing to honor their warranty.

Desired Outcome

I would request a refund. My 1 year warranty will expire on Jan 2020. I know longer would like to wait on a properly functioning unit due to the time it takes to receive. Usually 1 to 2 months to receive an ecu that doesn't work.

Hello ***!

We've gone through our records and found your order that came through another company, called Module Gods. Our company's name is ECU Team and we have nothing to do with your order. You should contact Module Gods in order to place your Warranty request. Unfortunately you are not our client and never purchased anything through ECU Team. We always provide customer support and warranty claims, but in your situation we can't do so, since you purchased the computer using other source.

Thank you!

Document Attached***
I also found the original order form sent to my email address. Notice the two business names on the document. If the business still disputes that I am not a customer, and have never placed an order with them, the next logical step would be to contact the Florida Courts.

ECU Team Response • Mar 03, 2020

Hello ***!

Form that you have shows website address with modulegods.com

ECU Team Corp is totally different company and never been a part of modulegods. Yes, modulegods used to be our re-sellers, however your original purchase has been done through them, not through ECU Team. Even Service Request shows that you agreed to their terms and conditions, including the name of the Sales agent. ECU Team Corp never ever had Kasey Jurrek and employee.

If you are willing to proceed through Florida courts, no problem, we have nothing to hide.

Please, get in touch with your original supplier for warranty/refund claim. Yes, you have records showing that you've spoke to ECU Team, however ECU Team is only providing Tech Support, since the product has not been purchased through us.

Thank you!

ECU Team Response • Mar 17, 2020

Hello ***!

Do you have proof of ECU Team Corp and modulegods being same company? Is it anywhere on the internet (legal sources) where it shows the Owner of ECU Team Corp being the same owner for the modulegods? If no, than you can't say that the owner for both companies that have nothing to do between each other is the same person.

Once again, ECU Team Corp has never been under the other name, never owned and never is going to own modulegods. Transaction that you show on the paper is not a proof. Because anyone who owns the account for the merchant gateway can put any name. If modulegosds used our name under their transactions, it does not proof that ECU Team Corp is the same company. If we would change our name to any other name, for instance (Google, Inc), does it mean that you deal with Google? I don't think so.

Please, show the invoice that has been provided to you and let's find out what's on that paper.

But once again, you never been our customer. Yes, you spoke with us (with our tech department), however computer never been purchased from ECU Team Corp.

Your original supplier is modulegods, so ask them for the warranty claim.

Thank you!

Sold me an ECU that I did not need, then destroyed my Original ECU so I could not get a refund
Jeep was misfiring. Sent them my ECU and they stated my ECU had a corrupt CPU and would need a full replacement for $1,400. They shipped out the replacement and the jeep had the same exact issue. They claimed they were able to replicate the issue on the bench test and the new ECU resolved the misfire. They said they would send a video of the bench test (Never sent)

They did send pictures of my original ECU showing burn marks on the board and told me that ECU was now dead.

*** The only issue with the jeep was the Crank Sensor. Once we replaced that the jeep ran fine. No need for a new ECU. ***

They offered to take the ECU back and for 25% fee and send me my original ECU which they took apart and destroyed.

Desired Outcome

Requested a partial refund. I agreed to pay their cost to build the new ECU but not any f the profit they made selling me an ECU I did not need. They rejected that offer.

Hello Robert Sedaca!

We've gone through our records and found your order. Originally you sent your Engine Computer to another company that opened your Original Engine Control Module and messed it up. ECU Team received your computer after other people was messing with it and we told you that computer is not repairable, so we suggested you to get a new Engine Computer from ECU Team. We've provided pictures as a proof that Original computer is bad. After you received the computer from ECU Team your vehicle started right up and was working fine, however you stated that engine is shaking when RPMs are going over 3000. After your mechanic inspected the vehicle, the problem was found with the Valve Spring, that has nothing to do with the Engine Computer that we supplied. After Valve Spring has been replaced, the Jeep start working just fine with no problems, which indicates that the Computer supplied by ECU Team is 100% working.

Thank you!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
ECU Team claims the computer they sold me was working 100%. That is correct except the computer I sent them for repair was also working 100% and a new ECU was not needed. The ultimate fix to the problem was a faulty Cam Sensor.

Original Computer sent to different company for diagnosis and repair. They made some changes to computer but did not resolve problem. They refunded the money spent on the computer repair.

ECU was then sent to ECU Team. They claimed the ECU was corrupt and I needed a new ECU. $1400 later they sent a new ECU and the problem was not resolved. Same exact issue remained as before the new ECU. To add to that they also took the original ECU apart and claimed it was damaged by previous repairs and would no longer work. They offered to return the original ECU that they dismantled, provided I would pay them 30% restocking fee.

The end result: They diagnosed my ECU and told me I needed a new ECU to fix the issue. They damaged my original ECU so I could no longer use it. The new ECU has no effect of fixing the problem. Mechanic finally fixed the issue by replacing the Cam sensor 3 times until they found the correct sensor.

I have come to the conclusion that ECU team only makes money by fixing or replacing ECUs. Sending them an ECU for diagnosis will always result in them telling you there is a problem or they have no way to make any money from you.

They claimed they were able to replicate the exact issue I was having by using a bench tester and guaranteed the new computer would fix the issue. They also stated they would send a video of the bench test. I am still waiting on that video.

Look up the address of the company on Google. It points to residential town home, not a storefront. They also changed names on the company while my repair was in process. They went from Module Gods to ECU Team

Computer that ECU Team Corp provided is fully functional. The problem that happened to the CAM sensor is a second problem that vehicle had. CAM sensor created original problem and damaged the Engine Computer. ECU Team diagnosed the problem and let the customer know by sending all the pictures. Even customer states that the computer is working fine. It means that our products is 100% good. ECU Team Corp is reputable company and we don't do sneaky things to our customers. We are only interested in good, quality product and services. The original computer that has been sent to ECU Team has been worked on by other company (I attached all the pictures as a proof, including customer signature where he agreed to all the Terms and Conditions of sale). Computer that other company worked on was in terrible condition. And soldered all the way around inside of the module. ECU Team stated that to the customer the same day. Also following our Terms and Conditions of sale, we can't accept the refund after 30 days since delivery confirmed.

Let us know if any other information needed.

Thank you!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Buyer Beware.

They continue to say that the ECU they provided worked 100%. That is correct but has no bearing on the complaint.

They sold me a new ECU on the premise that the old one was bad and was causing all the issues and they had VIDEO proof of the bench test replicating the issue I reported. That was not true. There was nothing wrong with the ECU. A Cam sensor was the only issue.

They now have a new story for the first time that the Cam sensor caused the ECU to go bad. Not possible.

Use this company is you are OK with being sold something you don't need.

Use this company is you are OK with being told they have proof that you need a new ECU but will not provide the proof to you.

Use this company is you are OK with them changing the story to fit their needs (Cam Sensor caused ECU to go bad)

Use this company is you are ok with them changing the company name and telling you the issue was with the old company.

BUYER BEWARE. Could cost you $1,400 for NO REASON.

ECU Team Response • Mar 03, 2020

CAM Sensor can cause ECU to go bad 100%, since it's directly connected to the ECU and it's controlled by ECU. Wiring Short Circuit or shorted CAM sensor can short the ECU easy. We've shown the pictures of failed ECU. Also other company had worded on it and did not the best job.

We have no interest of charging customers for something they don't need. If that would be the case, we would be out of business for a long time.

We show only facts and our products are working fine, because they are getting tested before shipping.

Do you have pictures of the opened ECU after first company fixed it? Do you have a proof that ECU broke your module? Or this is just your thoughts?

Thank you!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If the bad Cam Sensor killed the Original ECU then the new ECU you sent me would also have been killed by the bad Cam Sensor. Your logic is not sound.

The Jeep misfired on the Old ECU.
The Jeep misfired on the new ECU.
2 months later the Cam sensor was replaced and the jeep has run fine ever since.

The issue was not the ECU (Old or New) so I paid you $1400 for nothing

You also told me you have "Special Equipment" and were able to replicate the misfire issue on your bench tester. You promised to send me that video of the bench test. I am still waiting for the video.

You stated
"We have no interest of charging customers for something they don't need. If that would be the case, we would be out of business for a long time."

This is true. Why did you change names from Module Gods to ECU Team in the middle of all of this. Sounds like you were running away from other Bad Reviews.

It's been a pleasure for us working with ECU Team. We've had Mercedes S550 2009 and BMW 535i 2008. Both vehicle no start condition. We knew the problem is with the Ignition System and Engine Computer, however we tried other companies before that simply didn't resolve the problem. I'm happy working with such a great people at ECU Team, easy to deal with and reasonable fast turnaround. THANK YOU!
