Zero satisfaction
I use to go to E.D. Marshalls in Glendale on 59th Ave. My man Gar use to be the salesman there before retiring. Recently I went in to shop for a gift for my lady thinking Gar was still there. Upon arriving, I was told Gar had retired. I was like “Oh wow! I didn’t k ow that!”. Upon shopping the two gentlemen who are there now really need to work on their customer skills. It was the worse experience I ever had in a jewelry store. I realized then, Gar was the man. He was enthusiastic and helpful. He wanted to help you get that gift for your lady. He went above and beyond. Good luck in retirement Gar. Miss you brother. Service totally went down hill. After my experience at the E.D. Marshall in Glendale on 59th Ave. I surely won’t be patronizing that place ever again. Terrible experience. If I ever go to E.D. Marshalls ever again it’ll be at different store. Hopefully the service will be better and helpful.

Not the highest possible offer as advertised
Took my Rolex Presidentiol in because I hardly ever wear it and they said it was not a popular watch because the day was at the top of the dial and they offered me a price you could not buy the band for then I showed certificates for 2 GIA 1.25 certified diamonds and their offers were bottom line so I told them no sale. I sold the Rolex to Bobs watches in California for twice as much and they paid shipping and insurance both ways if the offer was not acceptable which it was and the deal went smooth as silk.

Went in to the store to sell some small but personally valued items after loosing everything in a house fire. So on top of the visit being very hard for me emotionally ... Me and my daughter were talked to like we had NO value! The man who helped us was rude to the elderly lady before us so that should have been reason for us to leave... But I had been there once before and was treated great by another employee! This man and the manager at the front were very snooty and acted like we had no worth at all as well as talking to us as such! If you want to be treated with dignity and respect do NOT GO HERE! They have TERRIBLE customer service! They are rude and degrading and humiliating!

+2

My family (mainly my Mom and Dad) have been doing business with E.D.Marshall Jewelers for years. For me this is not necessarily an automatic endorsement as the local Cadillac dealer had been ripping them off for decades! However when it came time for me to buy a nice piece of jewelry for my wife, I decided to give them a chance. Now being younger, I check and double check pricing, reviews, ratings, etc. on the internet for anything I buy. After doing due diligence, I was thrilled to find out that they are not only fair but go above and beyond to make sure that the customer (me) is happy. It's now been a good 10 years that I've been buying everything from old estate jewelry to diamonds (graded larger ones) and even watches both new and used, from E.D. Marshall. Every single experience I've had has been the best I could imagine. A couple of times when something didn't work, I was quickly accommodated and they even sent me pre-paid Fed Ex labels. From my first transaction (which wasn't a big purchase in the jewelry world), I was treated as if I was buying a $50,000 ring. I've always been treated with respect and kindness and trust them completely. Even though I live in another state, I won't buy jewelry anywhere else.

I have been doing business with E.d.Marshall Jewelers for many decades. I have always received exceptional service & quality goods from them.

I feel ripped off and tried to work with a supervisor to no avail. What happened: I went to the E.D. Marshall store in Avondale with a gold ring to have appraised and sell. I knew the gold spot value for the day was $1325/oz and had my $ per gram based on Karat handy on my cell phone. As the buyer was inspecting the ring, I asked her the spot value and she confirmed "It's $1325 today" - she then declared the weight as 10.1 dwt (pennyweight) and said the ring was worth $171 where I agreed to sell. After returning home, I'm thinking ... that can't be right; I went online to a pennyweight to gram converter and calculator based on carat (14K) that declared the actual value of the ring as $390. I contacted the buyer to clarify her math; she replied in a condescending, rude and unprofessional manner, stating, "It's a done deal - sorry for the inconvenience." I subsequently connect with the buyer-supervisor at the main, Scottsdale store & receive the same "Can't help you attitude" with "We strive for 100% [profit] - just like all the gold buyers around here." My offer to buy back my ring was denied and I was essentially blown off. So, while a buyer may state "The spot value is $1325 ... because of E.D. Marshall's profit margin, it is actually less than half that ... and in my case, was only $580. Who in their right mind would sell $390 worth of gold for $171. Shame on me for trusting them ... quoting a spot value and figuring a reasonable profit margin for their business ... not 128% profit margin! I can live with the $200 I lost, however, I warn those who follow ... I felt cheated by a slick and sly process: quoting a spot value that has little to do with the transaction; using pennyweights without conveying the better known (to the consumer) grams; and most of all, the exceptionally unprofessional and in my view, unethical approach to doing business.

Our entire family have been ED Marshall customers for more than ten years - - -from birthday/Christmas presents to wedding ring sets for both sons--**, [redacted] and the team at Marshalls have been unfailing in their goal to provide the highest quality, the best service and the top value.
I'd shudder to think of how much we've spent there over the years, but they are treasures that will last a lifetime.
Thanks

I have bought watches and other jewelry from Marshall's from time to time for many years. Their prices are more than fair and they stand behind everything they sell. I find their attention to service and honesty to be unparalleled. Highest possible recommendation.

Recently went to ED Marshall to sell gold. We had no idea what we had and went to them so they could help us sort through old jewelery and figure out what was real. The rep, [redacted], quoted us $2200 for our various pieces and we went on our way glad for the extra money to pay for graduate school.

We recieved a call that night telling us that they were going to cancel our check because one of the pieces was not real. The manager called us threating us and telling us we were frauds. They took back $600 of the money they paid us orignally and were so rude throughout the process. Never do business with such a shady unprofessional company. They made a mistake, we couldnt afford a lawyer, and we were victimized.

The selection of both new and estate items is good at this jeweler, and the owner, Ed Marshall, has gone "over the top" when dealing with us on several transactions.
