I did do the work at this home It was an insurance job, which means there were inspections between each draw There was a mortgage company involved, so the work process was slow We passed a 90+complete inspection by the insurance company At that time the kitchen cabinets still needed to be installed, as part of the 10% that was not complete as inspected by the insurance company We were unable to get started right away on that portion of the work because the customer decided to pursue a claim on a floor condition that existed when we started the job I attempted to let the customer know the damage they were looking at was not caused by the fire and that the insurance company was not going to pay for the work There was a work stoppage until this issue was resolved with the insurance company The insurance company declared the damage to the floor unrelated to the house The customer called once they learned the floor damaged was not covered and let me kn ow they needed their kitchen completed by the weekend, because the insurance company would not longer pay for their room At this time my productive resources were tied up and I couldn't respond that quick The customer got another contractor to install the kitchen cabinets and counter tops for them to facilitate them getting into the house fast The were some punch out items that we did not get back to take care of A final check came to cover depreciation because the quality of work had met the insurance companies standards I signed that one party check over to the customer with the agreement that the $would mean I didn't have to come do any more work at their home I also repaired their master bedroom ceiling for $they agreed to pay, but I never received Also the customer did not pay their $deductible My bis was the same amount the insurance company agreed to pay for the damageIla LM [redacted]

I did do the work at this home.  It was an insurance job, which means there were inspections between each draw.  There was a mortgage company involved, so the work process was slow.  We passed a 90+complete inspection by the insurance company.  At that time the kitchen cabinets...

still needed to be installed, as part of the 10% that was not complete as inspected by the insurance company.  We were unable to get started right away on that portion of the work because the customer decided to pursue a claim on a floor condition that existed when we started the job.  I attempted to let the customer know the damage they were looking at was not caused by the fire and that the insurance company was not going to pay for the work.  There was a work stoppage until this issue was resolved with the insurance company.  The insurance company declared the damage to the floor unrelated to the house.  The customer called once they learned the floor damaged was not covered and let me kn ow they needed their kitchen completed by the weekend, because the insurance company would not longer pay for their room.  At this time my productive resources were tied up and I couldn't respond that quick.  The customer got another contractor to install the kitchen cabinets and counter tops for them to facilitate them getting into the house fast.  The were some punch out items that we did not get back to take care of.  A final check came to cover depreciation because the quality of work had met the insurance companies standards.  I signed that one party check over to the customer with the agreement that the $1000 would mean I didn't have to come do any more work at their home.  I also repaired their master bedroom ceiling for $500 they agreed to pay, but I never received.  Also the customer did not pay their $1000 deductible.  My bis was the same amount the insurance company agreed to pay for the damage. Ila L.
