Ed's Auto Sales Reviews (7)

I am rejecting this response because of the blatant lies that have been told in the last two responsesFirst, we (my wife (who had taken off work to accompany me) and I) were told to get a lawyer on the third attempt to see the owner whom we were told "was in the back asleep." Second, Mr [redacted] stating that "at the time of any sale of a vehicle the customer is informed of any and all issues with the vehicle if there are any," is obviously as (a) I was informed that a new transmission had been placed in the car (and we have major shifting issues and have to constantly pull off the side of the road and turn the car off and wait, and then restart in order to “reset” the transmission); and (b) the check engine codes had been purposely cleared on the car so that I was not only not informed but would be purposely unaware of the issues with the car (as per an ASC certified mechanic who checked the car out immediately following the codes appearing the day after the car was purchased, and then he went on to demonstrate how it was done)A far cry from being “informed of any and all issues with the vehicle” as stated by Mr [redacted] Since our last communication, the car has literally broken down once a weekWe have to-date installed a starter, a serpentine belt, an alternator, and an OSensorUnfortunately, none of these extra issues have anything to do with the transmission issueAs well as several issues that I would consider to be routine He now says that we can make an appointment with the mechanic, but this is only to check it out, we would be taking the car to a mechanic of his choice, on his payroll presumably, who, if there had been a transmission installed, obviously did a faulty job or put in a faulty part in the first place, and then proceed to pay all labor and expensesThat is highway robbery, literally He states that he is willing to try and resolve the issueHow? The condition of the car was misrepresented and he is offering for us to pay to fix itHow exactly does this translate to his “resolving the issue”? On another note, I would like to add that I have made trips to the dealership on the only two occasions that I was off work on days that they were open attempting to obtain a transfer paper of some sort that the DMV says that I need to get my tags, and on each occasion was told that only the owner could deal with this, and thus my tags expired on June 10th and I am unable to obtain the paperwork necessary to get my permanent tags At this point, I do not expect there to be a resolution offered, and my original Complaint/Rating against this business should standThank you for your assistance Regards [redacted]
