Mr [redacted] had taken the unit to another repair facility that supposedly rebuilt the carburetor, cleaned the fuel system and replaced the ignition switch on his unitAfter charging Mr [redacted] several billable hours of diagnostics they could not determine the cause of Mr***s engine cutting off after running a few minutesThe previous repair facility could not determine if the cause was electrical or mechanical in natureMr [redacted] was distraught that after having paid several hours of diagnostic labor there, the machine unable to run and the reason and cause of the failure not determined Unfortunately the other repair facility after having cleaned up the carburetor and replacing the fuel filters failed to clean the fuel tank itself which contained about a 1/layer of sludge on its bottomWhen fuel was added to the tank the sludge simply plugged up the new fuel filters, fuel pump and recontaminated the carburetor All the work Mr [redacted] had previously paid the other repair facility to perform had to be redone in order to get to the point where the engines intermittent operation could be properly diagnosed and a determination made as to whether the cause was an internal mechanical or electrical problem as Mr [redacted] had asked us to do Mr [redacted] thought the fuel system had already been properly repaired, it had notMr [redacted] asked for us to diagnose his engine after representing to us the fuel system was rebuilt and in good working order, it was notIn fact, the unit would not even startMr [redacted] stated he had cleaned the fuel tank himself, yet sludge remained in the bottom of the tank that plugged up the entire fuel system After cleaning the fuel tank and carburetor, replacing plugged fuel lines, filters and replacing the fuel pump the unit ran without any additional engine problemsThe entire problem was the fuel system and the half-baked mediocre attempts by others at resolutionThe units alternator also failed to charge which was remedied by repairing the ground Mr [redacted] was billed for labor and $for: 1-fuel pump, -fuel line clamps, 1-fuel filter,4ft fuel line, -fuel tank bushing, fresh gasoline and shop supplies which were required to diagnose his engine for internal engine or electrical problems which was well below the written $Product Service Agreement for large riding mowers between Mr [redacted] and us(see enclosure) Mr [redacted] stated he was not going to pay for the parts installed, because he had had that already done at the other shopMr [redacted] was informed that theft of goods or services was a crime and if he was going to be a deadbeat to unload the unit of his trailerMr [redacted] was given a choice pay the bill or leave the equipment and chose to pay the bill Mr***s engine operates correctly now and he was charged a fair priceWe will not take responsibility for nor be shortchanged due to some mediocre repairs and overcharging Mr [redacted] accepted at another facilityUnfortunately, Mr [redacted] wants to project that previous bad experience on us

One other thing I did not mentionI stated to the ownerIf someone brought a mower in and it needed complete rebuild Would he just fix it and not notify them what it needed and price would be That is what he did to meRipe me off just is not a lot of money His response is just pointing the finger at me , to make me look bad Dod want refund Just don't want him to rip anyone else off or be treated the way he did me

The owner of eds small engines does not say how he used foul language and pointed his finger in my face .He was only so post to give an estimate on my mower not fix without telling me estimateHe was very rude and vulgar with his customer and I was not distraught from paying another repair shop I just told him they where unable to repair it and needed a 2nd diagnosisIf he treats all his customers as he did me he so will be out of businessThat figures he would try to make me look like the bad guy

Mr*** had taken the unit to another repair facility that supposedly rebuilt the carburetor, cleaned the fuel system and replaced the ignition switch on his unitAfter charging Mr*** several billable hours of diagnostics they could not determine the cause of Mr***s engine cutting off
after running a few minutesThe previous repair facility could not determine if the cause was electrical or mechanical in natureMr*** was distraught that after having paid several hours of diagnostic labor there, the machine unable to run and the reason and cause of the failure not determined
Unfortunately the other repair facility after having cleaned up the carburetor and replacing the fuel filters failed to clean the fuel tank itself which contained about a 1/layer of sludge on its bottomWhen fuel was added to the tank the sludge simply plugged up the new fuel filters, fuel pump and recontaminated the carburetor
All the work Mr*** had previously paid the other repair facility to perform had to be redone in order to get to the point where the engines intermittent operation could be properly diagnosed and a determination made as to whether the cause was an internal mechanical or electrical problem as Mr*** had asked us to do
Mr*** thought the fuel system had already been properly repaired, it had notMr*** asked for us to diagnose his engine after representing to us the fuel system was rebuilt and in good working order, it was notIn fact, the unit would not even startMr*** stated he had cleaned the fuel tank himself, yet sludge remained in the bottom of the tank that plugged up the entire fuel system
After cleaning the fuel tank and carburetor, replacing plugged fuel lines, filters and replacing the fuel pump the unit ran without any additional engine problemsThe entire problem was the fuel system and the half-baked mediocre attempts by others at resolutionThe units alternator also failed to charge which was remedied by repairing the ground
Mr*** was billed for labor and $for: 1-fuel pump, -fuel line clamps, 1-fuel filter,4ft fuel line, -fuel tank bushing, fresh gasoline and shop supplies which were required to diagnose his engine for internal engine or electrical problems which was well below the written $Product Service Agreement for large riding mowers between Mr*** and us(see enclosure)
Mr*** stated he was not going to pay for the parts installed, because he had had that already done at the other shopMr*** was informed that theft of goods or services was a crime and if he was going to be a deadbeat to unload the unit of his trailerMr*** was given a choice pay the bill or leave the equipment and chose to pay the bill
Mr***s engine operates correctly now and he was charged a fair priceWe will not take responsibility for nor be shortchanged due to some mediocre repairs and overcharging Mr*** accepted at another facilityUnfortunately, Mr*** wants to project that previous bad experience on us

One other thing I did not mentionI stated to the ownerIf someone brought a mower in and it needed complete rebuild Would he just fix it and not notify them what it needed and price would be That is what he did to meRipe me off just is not a lot of money His response is just pointing the finger at me , to make me look bad
Dod want refund Just don't want him to rip anyone else off or be treated the way he did me
