Edco Products, Inc. Reviews (3)

I have attached the Arrowline Warranty form.  It states… EDCO ArrowLine Shakes and/or Slate is warranted to you, the original property owner(s), by the manufacturer EDCO Products, Inc. (EDCO). EDCO warrants against the product containing manufacturing defects which result in cracking, chipping,...

flaking, peeling, as well as, manufacturing defects which cause perforation or deterioration of the steel substrate due to rust or hail. The product will also not burn or support combustion. We as the manufacturer do not warranty the install nor can we warranty against a roof leaking. We feel there was no need to send an EDCO Products, Inc. representative to look at the completed job.  Lisa sent us several photos that show the Arrowline roofing on her home.  There is no sign of manufactured defects such as cracking, chipping, flaking or peeling as stated in the warranty form. We emailed [redacted] on 04/03/17  stating; If you can show proof of manufacturing defects which resulted in cracking, chipping, flaking, peeling as well as manufacturing defects which cause perforation or deterioration of the steel substrate due to rust or hail, then I will move forward with the claim.  As of now I am considering the claim closed and no further action will be taken on my end. This is a claim that must be handled with the installer as there is no proof of a manufacturing defect. Kind Regards, Dean [redacted] Customer Support Manager Edco Products, Inc. I am rejecting this response because:
This is an email sent to EDCO before filling out warranty claim paperwork:Original Message-----From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]Sent: Thursday, March 16, 2017 1:18 PMTo: Dean [redacted] <d[redacted]@edcoproducts.com>Subject: Linscott RoofHi Dean, I spoke with you earlier today about filing a warranty claim.Thought it best to give a very brief summary of my roof history with Edco.Back in Sept./Oct. 2016 I spoke with at least three different Edco Reps. that informed me the shake look alike metal roof was fairly easy to lay after watching a few tutorials and that they could train my roofing crew on proper installation. After choosing the Infinity roof, my roofers dealt with Rob as he is the Kansas City Rep. with Edco, Mike [redacted], my roofing Co. owner, informed me he was sending his crew for special training on the installation of the roof.  And that Rob would be checking the process as it went on to be sure everything was properly installed.Rob claimed everything looked good during the project. At completion my roof immediately leaked.  I phoned Rob as well as texted and emailed several other Edco employees with photos and videos of my roof. At that time I was asking for any information or advice on if the roof was missing anything or looked "off" in anyway.  I continually was told they'd get back to me and they never would. On one phone conversation with Rob, I asked if he could please have an expert in Edco roofing come and just look at things to troubleshoot the problem.  He stated he would send out a seasoned metal roofer from my area,  which never happened.  On another conversation I asked Rob about my crew's training and he told me he trained them, in nearly the same paragraph he said he didn't really know much about the installation process.Obviously by this point it looks like I was fraudulently sold a VERY VERY expensive roof under the pretence your employees were going to train my crew as well as monitor the progression of things.  My crew used all roofing pieces and installed as they were trained by your company staff. The fact your company refused to get back with me on anything or even send an inspector that knew what was going on is not only unconscionable but like I said before, fraudulent.  Based on the history of my roof purchased from you I was owed at least that.  Seeing how your company is run leads me to believe it is most likely your entire roofing system that is faulty.  Once I sent back the completed warranty form, was told by Dean [redacted] he'd set up a metal roof expert to look at my roof. The next thing I know I receive an email from him stating the warranty is closed because I have no proof and I need to deal with my roofer who had suggested me hiring a Kansas City Consultant, CBRE, who to my knowledge knows little to nothing about metal roofs, at $500 per hour at my expense!!  This I guess was Dean's follow up on a warranty claim.  That is ridiculous in anyone's book.Sincerely,[redacted]

We sent an EDCO Products, Inc. Representative to look at [redacted]’s roof the week of 05/08/2017.  Our representative did not see any manufacturing defects or malfunctions of the product we manufacture and warranty.  This is an installation or flashing issue not a valid manufacturing warranty claim. Kind Regards, Dean [redacted] Customer Support Manager
