Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have not heard from the owner of the repair shop since I left a voice message telling me that I could come pick up my carWhen I went to pick up the car he was not at the repair shopHe never called and told me anything else about the car after I took the car back to the repair shop the same dayMy Uncle has called an spoke with him but he has not called me directly at allI was never told by him that my transmission was going bad at allBecause if this was the problem I do not understand why he charged me $for installing a sensor and the car was doing the same thing it did when I took it the first timeNot sure how they run diagnostics on the cars there but this does not seem right for a certified mechanicI am not asking for him to do any more work on my car, but I am asking for monies back because the problem was never fixedDoesn't matter what else was going on with the car which he never said anything to me aboutI took the car there for the RPM hand rising up and not changed out of gear and he put a sensor on it and the car still was not fixNo I have not picked the car up because it wasn't fixedI am not asking for anything free This is not acceptable if you are a reputable businessRegards, [redacted] ***

I have received and reviewed the complaint filed from the customerThe Complaint is without meritThe customer complained of issues regarding no acceleration and surging. Upon checking/looking at the car we realized previous work had been started and not completed on
the vehicle at another shop or personThe Timing cover was out of place, no bolts were in proper placesBelt tensioner had wires holding it in tack because bolts were broken offThe crank sensor wire was not in the proper bracket areaThe alternator belt had rubbed the wires and cut the wires. I called the customer and told him the approximate estimate to proceed with correcting and repairing these issuesI stated to him specifically that this may not take care of any further issues found. That you have to get the vehicle running and cranking in order to proceed with diagnosing any further issues. If a car is not running you can not drive it and test certain issuesHe stated he understood that and to replace the crank sensor and to proceed with diagnostic after it was in running order. I explained that the crank sensor is what puts fire to the plugsCustomer agreed to that repairWhen customer came to check on the car I told him after further diagnosing and being able to drive the vehicle approximately miles that the transmission started to slip and that I recommended a transmissionHe stated he didn't want to put more money into the car that he would just take care of the bill for what work had been done. The vehicle has been left at my shop and not picked up to this dateI feel the customer is trying to collect for work he agreed to pay for and had no problem paying for in the beginningI will not agree to this nor will I do any further repairs to this carThank You,Eddies Service Center*** ***, Owner
