In response to [redacted] complaint, we had contracted to [redacted] delivery of a weber gas grill to the consumer on May 24, Customer was charged for DELIVERY AND RE-INSTALLATIONThe grill was connected to [redacted] existing gas connection, which was only later found to be a gas flex line buried in the ground and after [redacted] had spoken with a plumber contacted us at Barry's appliance she spoke with Carey the store service manager who agreed to send the installer to recheck the grill itself for any leaks but [redacted] would need to proceed with contracting to a plumber regarding the improper underground gas line at her homeFred from [redacted] went back to [redacted] home on May 25, and found no issue or gas leak with the grill itself and it was confirmed [redacted] would need to contact a plumberIn conclusion the installer disconnected and reconnected to an existing gas line which was buried underground not being able to determine whether or not it was up to code

My name is Ryan S***, General Manager of Barry's Appliance and Tv I wanted to reach out and respond to the complaint from customer *** *** as I have been handling this issue I have been in constant contact with our client to resolve the issue at hand The door damage is
being handled today, 9/at approximately 4:15pm We are replacing the door We also requested and received the quote from the client to repair the damage to the floor We are working to agree on a price to refund the customer Once we reach an agreement, I will reach out to you to notify of the results.Thank you for your assistance on this matter, as we always try to handle issues internally, yet sometimes go further than expected We understand the customers frustration and wish to rectify the situation and keep the client happy and returning for future business

I have pictures of the refrigerator with stainless steel handles so thier comment is a lieIf they consider $for the small refrigerator I got cheap that is a concern I have since seen the same refrigerator at of *** for about $500.00 If Jim had shown me a picture with black handles I would have rejected it and told him I wanted one with stainless handles

Customer wanted to buy an inexpensive stainless steel refrigeratorThe salesman, Jim showed her a Frigidaire model FFTR1814TSIt comes in black, white and stainless steelSince we did not have any on the showroom Floor, Jim showed her picturesThe stainless steel unit picture clearly shows black
handlesThe unit was purchased and paid for on November 6, 2017, it was delivered and installed on Novenef10, After installation she complained about the black handlesJim told *** that he might be able to sand and paint the handles in SS to match the refrigeratorHe did this on his own trying to satisfy the customerThis act was not approved by the storeJim should have simply told *** that the unit comes with black handlesThe plug is being sent directly to ***, it is to cover up a hole where the name plate wasNo further action is needed

I am rejecting this response because: While I acknowledge that I purchased a "top of the line" Friedrich AC unit that broke after less than 2 years of use . . . I am disputing the service business due to the 5 year labor warranty I purchased.  The [redacted] electrical company came, changed a fuse, then diagnosed the part failure.  Is this not covered under labor?  If he had fixed it would that labor have been covered??  Attached is the copy of my invoice with both labor and parts listed.  Barry's claimed they have no record of the labor warranty.

After looking into this case and reviewing the facts that we have, it was determined and also communicated with the customer that she would be responsible for any fees that the 10 yr MAJOR COMPONENT warranty did not cover. This was told to the customer prior to setting the appointment up with her....

The company that manufactures the unit was even contacted directly from Barry's to make sure this was true and also see if they offered anything in regards to covering the cost if there was any. She was knowledgeable of this and even has a copy of the major component warranty guidelines and what it entails. The issue with the unit was not related to the major component which is the compressor in this case. It was deemed an electrical issue by [redacted] the service company that went to the customers location. The owner of the company reached out to her apologizing for the situation and also giving her the facts about her warranty and our attempts as a store to communicate with her. We would never want a customer to feel like we do not care and we also have a service department with 2 individuals that are overseeing that department 6 days a week. We try to do everything in our power to help. I have a copy of the warranty guidelines and also her invoice that describes the warranty she purchased. Again even before that it was communicated that there would be a charge if it was deemed not to be the major component issue.
