I wrote out a check for Mrs. for 1000.00. She was going to pick it up at our store. After a few days I called her and she said to mail the check. Which I did the next mail day.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is so awful and unprofessional. How they have a great rating here is unbelievable. I've been working with them for over a month to get my carpet installed. I've since had to choose 3 different carpets. First, they showed me the wrong sale items, so I had to pick another. Then after picking another and a week going by without any contact I called stephanie to find out what was going on. She called me back hours later telling me the distributor sent my carpet elsewhere and sold it! How does that even happen?! So AGAIN we go back to Eddy's and I should've asked for a refund but instead I stupidly chose another (third!) carpet. I was promised a phone call the next day to make sure that it was on stock. I didn't receive any phone call and I waited another week before calling back and asking what was going on. Stephanie said she thought she called me back and "that's not how they do business". A few hours later she called me and scheduled the install for that Saturday. Finally Saturday morning the install guy comes to put in the carpet. After 30 mins he lets us know that there is not enough carpet and he would have to come back. Someone did the measurements wrong. Are you kidding me?!?!? After all of this it was never even measure right! He says he can't come back that day, the next day, or any day after 5pm. I work and my husband works so now I am taking time off of work to have this install finished. Stephanie had no idea what I was talking about when I told her about the carpet and I had to call her repeatedly to set a new install. Every time something goes wrong Eddy's says "this isn't how we do business" but it is! They have horrible reviews on other sites and I should've went with my gut. I was not offered any discount or anything to recoup my time and frustration. I will NEVER go here again and will make sure I let everyone I talk to that Eddy's Carpet is the worst to do business with.

Carpet installation has defects. We bought carpet to replace existing carpet on the entire 2nd floor of our newly purchased house (900 sq. ft.) before moving in. After install, installer did not have vacuum to do final clean up. Upon moving in and vacuuming ourselves, we found an area where the installation was defective. Eddy's was immediately notified and they assured us it would be repaired as their installations are warranted for one year. This was 6 weeks ago. Weekly calls to them bring another promise that it will be fixed "next week". The installer was to contact us to arrange a time. Installer did not contact us for 5 weeks. He then left a message but the phone number he gave goes unanswered and voice mail is not set up to leave a message.Desired SettlementEddy to honor their warranty and repair the defective installation.Business Response We have left a message today for the customer to call us. Installer wants to go on Saturday Sept. 5, 2015 to repair. We are awaiting a call back from the customer.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Defective installation finally repaired.

Billed for item not delivered and seller would not refund the money. Also the seller has shady business practices based on lies and deceit. We were given referral for Eddy's Flooring America by a friend. [redacted], the owner, stopped by our place for measurements and estimate of work on 08/26/2015 to lay down carpet on a room and stairs. We gave us a quote on a carpet he was pushing very hard to sell. Since, we agreed on a particular carpet (which he said was his "bread and butter". We asked for financing interest free financing, which needed to be approved by the bank. Meanwhile, when I was working with the bank to get the credit approved, we had a change of heart since we didn't know if we really wanted carpet or not. Within a few days of our original meeting, we called and let Eddy's flooring America know that we had deferred our plan for the carpet. It was clear that we did not want to go ahead with the carpet installation. Keeping in mind that we the order was never executed, nor delivered, nor installed. It was a shock for us when we saw the bill of $1395 from the Credit company [redacted] I called [redacted] up and ask him why I was being billed for an item I don't even have. His response was totally opposite of what a customer satisfaction policy should be. Which is, he told me to keep on paying the bill and I can get any other product from him in the future. Basically, he said, I am not getting my money back. Even though I did not want the carpet, I figured, I should mind as get it, since I'm already paying for it. He promised to install it on Next Monday, if not monday, Tuesday for sure. When I called him on Monday, he changed his story again and said he can't do it on Monday or Tuesday. Given that he had originally promised to install the carpet himself for better customer service, he changed his story that he does not install carpets himself. To me this business and this individual is a lying, deceitful, bluff master. His business is shady, so are his business practices. I am extremely disappointed at the shouting and lying he did with me on the phone. I want my money back without any penalty and immediately.Important to mention that he is asking for restocking fee for item I never received. It is a pathetic scam that this business is trying to pull off. It is a shame that I did not do my research before hand to find out his already documented shady practices reported by other customers.Desired SettlementI want my total money of $1395 back. The business is asking for a 25% restocking fee, which is absurd, since I never received the item. Why should I be penalized for his scam to make money off me by exploiting my trust.I would want a written apology and the refund of $1395, including calling the bank to let them know that I do not owe them anything. The payment last date is 10/02/15. I cannot stress enough how pathetically disappointed I am at the extremely poor customer service and shady business practice by this individual and company.Business Response Customer had measurement done on 08/26/2015. Customer filled out paperwork and signed for financing on 08/26/2015. Customer's application for financing was approved and submitted on 08/27/2015. At no time did the customer "work with the bank to get it approved". the order was executed when the customer signed the financing agreement and the carpet was ordered. At no time was the customer told that the owner of the company was going to install the carpet himself. Our company has to pay a restocking fee to the distributor that we ordered from as the carpet was cut. The customers finance account will be credited.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The Seller is lying again. All the information the seller has given is irrelevant to the issue. The issue is we do not trust the seller and are extremely dissatisfied with how the issue was dealt even when we had given him a chance. We were not told that this is a special item order, as restocking fees are only applicable to items not available in shop. We were never told of this as this was supposed to be "bread and butter" carpet. Most importantly, we had put the order on hold/cancelled the order and we never received the order. The fact that the seller was keen on charging and continously told me to keep on paying the credit card shows that he does not want to refund without making a "buck", which is unfair and bad business practice. As for the bank, I had worked with the bank to get myself approved as the bank wanted to talk to me directly for the credit details. Apparently, they didn't trust the carpet company for some reason. The bottom line is the seller's business practices are extreme suspect and we do not want to do business with them (period). We want our full money back ASAP.Thank you!Final Business Response The amount of $1,395.00 was credited to the customers account with [redacted] bank today 10/16/2015 and a copy of the credit was mailed to the customer.Final Consumer Response Thank you for reaching out for an update. I confirmed with [redacted] bank and the amount charged $1395 has been refunded. This resolves the refund issue and I am very grateful for Revdex.com's assistance to get the matter resolved in a timely fashion.Alls well that ends well, but just want to say that this has been the worst shopping and rude customer management experience I have had from any business ever in US.Thanks,

Eddy's Flooring installed a bamboo hardwood floor in our home July 2014 into August 2014. Subsequently, gaps/seams/shifts opened. I reported this to Eddy's and Eddy [redacted] did an onsite inspection prior to Xmas 2014. He said his staff would follow up - they did NOT. I called Eddy [redacted] to complain, he said that he thought this had been taken care of months earlier. he sent the original installer [redacted] who said that he had never seen this bamboo do this before..he reported back to Eddy.Eddy didn't call back I have had to keep chasing him for status, he never calls me back as he promises he will in the time frame parameters that he gives to me. At present we have an approx. 6 foot by 3 inch gap filled with non bamboo and duct tape over that: hideous, and as well a trip hazard. My wife is handicapped and on crutches.Product_Or_Service: Trillium bamboo hardwood flooringDesired Settlement*Eddy's must totally replace flooring we have down with the bamboo we picked out at no cost to us. And to do that immediately. They can work out their differences with Trillium or whomever outside of this replacement of flooring, at their own expense and time*I want a price reduction to cover the cost of my professional painter come in behind them to re-paint the baseboards and walls that get scruffed up during the floor install. We just painted these rooms and exactly affected areaBusiness Response Eddy went to the house and took pictures of the problem with the flooring. The have been forwarded to our distributor to process the claim. Two boxes of the product were ordered and are to be delivered to the customer on Friday May 22, 2015. The product will be acclimated for two weeks in the room where the problem is. We will then use the acclimated material to repair the floor.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)We are concerned that the materials ordered may not be sufficient .We also must repaint the walls and baseboards affected. These were done after last year's install. We want that cost deducted from our balance.Final Business Response The flooring was replaced today. I have not spoken with the customer yet to verify that they are happy with it yet.

trying for a month to to get door slides placed correctly and baseboards repaired or replaced where damaged flooring may have to be replaced where screw holes are left from relocating door slides if the patch is not acceptable paid 8332.19 dollars for work and having a patch in hallway may not be acceptable.Desired Settlementreplace baseboards and replace floor boardBusiness Response [redacted], Our installer went to do the repairs for Mr. [redacted] Some were done and the rest will be done on September 21 - 22 2015.Sincerely[redacted]

I have bubbles in my floor covering, because of improper floor preparation.I had the flooring installed in 3/2008. I had it installed in my rumpus room as well as my kitchen. The rumpus room seems to be fine. However the kitchen was installed over an existing vinyl floor and I have bubbles. They have been back several times, and even had manufacture's rep. come to see it. They replaced the floor in 4/11. Still more bubbles. The floating floor was then glued, still more bubbles. All the installers Eddy's sent told me the same thing, floor should have been preped with a leveling product before installation. According to Eddy this has never been relayed back to him.. He never returns phone calls, for months after the calls. You have to keep calling. The last time he was here was in April. he said he'd get back to me, STILL WAITING!! I just want the bubbles fixed.Desired SettlementI just want to have the bubbles fixed.Business' Initial Response We will set up an appointment to repair the floor

We purchased flooring from Eddys Flooring America it was installed July 17. Less than 12 hours later it was pulling apart at the seams, coming undone.we purchased kitchen flooring from Eddys Flooring America, The new floor was installed on Wednesday July 17, The floor was in place less than 12 hours and it began to come apart at the seams, and pull away. I called the store and spoke to [redacted] on four occasions, and my husband called and spoke with him once. He told me the installer would get back to me. That never happened. He told me the installer was an independent contractor and that he ( [redacted]) had nothing to do with resolving this problem. I am concerned and explained to bruce that the kitchen reno is in full swing and we have lower cabinets being installed this week. I do not want to install cabinets on floor if it needs to be lifted and re applied, but I can not seem to get any response from the store. I paid $1500.00 and was promised before the installation that if I had any problem I could just call them and they would resolve it. In the age of cell phones there is no excuse for not hearing back regarding this problem. A simple phone call would have eliminated my need to contact the Revdex.com. Desired SettlementI would just like someone to come out and fix the floor where it is coming up. and I want to be reassured that the entire floor is not going to do the same thing. If they can not respond when the floor is just installed , I find it hard to imagine that they will do anything in six months to a year if the floor does not meet expectations.Business' Initial Response The installer was scheduled to go to the customers house on Tuesday July 23, 2013 after 10 am to fix the problem. I have left a message on the customers ansewering machine today August 7, 2013 to make sure that it was done.

Service has been delayed, inferior, and resolutions to issues has been inadequate. Overall customer service has been severely lacking and rude. On Monday, 6/16 I went to Eddy's Flooring America to purchase carpet. Eddy had measured our house twice to provide estimates for carpet. The most recent was the morning of June 16th. I had found carpet I liked at a big box store, but wanted to give the business to Eddy's because he was a local shop and was recommended to me. Eddy was able to match the carpeting and the price ($2,033 for roughly 700 sqft). I paid a $1,000 deposit at this time via debit card. He said he would rush the carpet and install it following week.On 6/23 (following Monday) I called the store to check on my carpet. On Wednesday (6/25) I received a call saying installation would be Friday (6/27). Eddy had also agreed to take our old carpet away, if we pulled it all up. When the installer arrived on 6/27 all our carpet was rolled up and in our garage for removal. The installer arrived at 9:30am on Friday (within the X:XX-X:XX window I was told). Upon entering the house, he told me the job was much bigger than he thought and it would be at least 2-3 days of work. He also told me he was unable to work the weekend and was scheduled for another job on Monday. I called Eddy's because I was never told the job was more than 1 day. Also, the installer was alone, and unable to take the carpet away. He also told me he would need a 2nd person to come to move the 4 pieces of bedroom furniture in our master bedroom. A 2nd person came to move the furniture, but the installer was able to move all the furniture back alone. We called the store to inquire about the installation being multiple days. I received a rude voicemail from the owner, saying he didn't remember telling me it would be 1 day of installation. The store offered tosee if they could get a different installer to come Saturday - as they would be leaving the stairs exposed (tack board). We called Saturday morning, having not received a call from the store and were told they would try for Sunday. We called Sunday (again not receiving a call) and were told they would come Tuesday. Our garage was not usable all weekend, as they were unable to remove the carpet. Additionally the owner would come Tuesday morning to review the work, as seams were frayed & showing in the bedroom and other areas were very sloppy. On Tuesday (7/1) the owner arrived at 8:20am - we had been told, he would be at our house with the installer at 8am. The work was reviewed, and the [redacted] left. The installer arrived at 9:33am (1hr and 33 minutes later than we were told). The owner returned around noon on 7/1 along with a 2nd employee to haul away our old carpet. The owner and installer were doing a walk thru of the house, when the installer informed the owner the job would not be done that day, and he would need a 3rd day. I expressed my unhappiness with this scheduling - having to now take a 3rd day off of work for this project. The owner snapped at me yelling "how many times can I tell you - I'll do my best but it's not finishing today". My husband, had to call the store to ask what the issue with installation was and this time also inquire why the owner was snapping at his 7 month pregnant wife. The installer worked until 8pm on July 1st but was still unable to finish the job. Also at this time, we realized he was short carpet and the landing of the stairs would not be carpeted. Both the [redacted] and installer were unaware there was a shortage. The installer promised to return at 2pm the following day (7/2) to complete the work. He arrived at 3:41pm. I had again taken the time off to be home for the installation. We were forced to call the store again at 3pm to see where the installer was. Upon his arrival, I received a call on my personal cell phone from a woman looking for the installer. He used my cell phone to provide directions to my house for the woman. Giving out my personal cell phone is horribly inappropriate for the store - and I know the installer did not have this number.Desired SettlementGiven the delayed installation has left us with exposed tack board on the stairs for 4 days (6/27 - 7/1) and given the horrible experience in dealing with the store, I would like to see a significant price reduction in this work. Additionally, the owner personally measured our house 2x for this carpet and still failed to order enough to complete the job. We will have an exposed concrete landing at the bottom of the stairs. We have had to fight daily to ensure our carpet is installed and have had to ask repeatedly for work to be redone / corrected. The installer has been late, and also has taken numerous cigarette breaks during he day, returning to the house smelling very strongly of cigarettes. Our carpet was left on the floor of our garage for 3 days (6/28 - 7/1) while we waited for installation to be complete. Also, our carpet was not removed on the agreed upon day - delaying other projects (we needed the garage for a large delivery of laminate floor which had to be pushed back)Given the lack of care this company took for our project, and the lack of professionalism and the fact I used 2.5 days off of work for this work - I would request we not pay the remaining balance of $1,033.Business Response Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)we received one call from Eddy's flooring on July 9th to inform us the carpet piece for the landing had been ordered. My husband and I were out of town and I have received no contact from Eddy's flooring aside from the single voicemail left for us on the 9th at 6:17pm.We have also not been asked for payment so I find the request for payment in 2 days to be unacceptable, as the job is not complete. A discount of $200 is not adequate compensation for the 2.5 days I had to stay home from work to allow for installation. Finally, my point remains, if the job was more than 1 day, I should have been informed of that up front (regardless of if I asked the question) and if Eddy's Flooring knew it was a multiple day job, they should have scheduled the work for consecutive days, not began work on a Friday, to then finish on Tuesday & Wednesday of the following week - leaving our house, specifically the stairway, with exposed subfloor and tack board for multiple days. Also because of their failure to remove the carpet on the first day, our garage was not usable for the duration of the install.Final Business Response I will be glad to deduct the amount she has on 2.5 days of work upon her showing proof of lost wages for the bill. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Following the response from Eddy's on 8/15 I reached out to Eddy's flooring. At this point I do not want Eddy to finish the job, as it has been 2 months since we placed the order. When I called I suggested we pay $500 (1/2 of the remaining balance) and we both walk away from this. Eddy rejected my offer to pay 1/2 the balance and call it even. He said he was not charging me for the addition carpet, but would like full payment. The additional carpet is NOT extra, it was included in the orginal order and they failed to deliver it. Given that they have not finished the job paying for the entire thing is not reasonable. I would like to pay for the work they did and move on. The remaining balance is $1,033 - the landing and area at the bottom of our basement stairs is not done. I would like this area, plus the labor associated with installation, deducted from my bill and I'd like the $200 credit applied that he extended in the first response. I estimate that to be roughly $500 and I will gladly pay the other $500. If Eddy's has another figure in mind, I'd like to be told of that figure because when I spoke with them this morning (8/15) they were unable to provide me a figure.
