Ref: *** *** attending Humboldt State University for XXXX-XXXX Academic Years
Dear Revdex.com:
This is in response to a refund for *** *** Revdex.com Case# XXXXXXXX
Client and parents hired EDFIN to help with financial aid for
college costs for XXXX-XXXX and was awardedAs mentioned by the family, "We only received $from one scholarship *** provided; this is not satisfactory service." Since EDFIN was not satisfied with financial aid student received in XXXX-XXXX, EDFIN spoke to student's father, *** *** to help his daughter receive financial aid in XXXX-XXXX for no additional costs, and he agreed
EDFIN has processed all applications, for the XXXX-XXXX and XXXX-XXXX academic years Federal, State, Institutional Grants, and Scholarships & Student LoansThe family made it clear they were not interested in Student Loans; therefore, EDFIN didn't accept these and continue to help family receive additional Federal or State financial aid
In working with the student's college (Humboldt State University), it apparent they have incorrectly awarded the student based off of incorrect informationEDFIN has been diligently been trying to speed up this process and help fix the incorrect information; however, being locked out of the accounts, we unable to help the student
EDFIN contacted the student on several occasions they EDFIN has been trying to speed up the progress; however, in working with the student's college, EDFIN is trying to fix the incorrect information working with the student's Financial Aid Office
EDFIN has been in contact with student's college on many occasions and sometimes unable to reach a staff member do to high volume calls; however, now that student has discontinued services and locked out, no longer able to access student portal, and other Federal and State Applications
EDFIN agreed to help family receive financial aid for the XXXX-XXXX and not able to continue due to being locked out of accountsIt is our goal to help our familiesWe are unable to continue helping full fill the contract when the student/family has locked the accounts, therefore, unable to continue helping family with financial aid for college costs
In regards to student indicating, "I was never notified when someone in their office was handling my personal information on educational assistance websites." Student complete a Authorization to Release and Confidentiality Agreement authorizing EDFIN to completed the entire process on student's and parent's behalfStudent and Parent signed a contract (on file) indicating when they receive emails regarding student's Admissions, Financial Aid or any others emails regarding the process, to forward to EDFIN; student and parents agreed
In regards to student indicating, "I received separate emails within minutes showing my social security information and other personal identification was being usedI was alarmed by the volume of emails and sensitive information being used and called ***'s cell phone number since their office was closed at the timeI was greeted by *** telling me "This is my cell phone and it's after hours" which was not very professional or friendlyThe reason I had her cell phone number in the first place was because she provided it to me in case I needed to contact her." The College Planner, *** after hours cell phone was provided due to calls to student was distracting the studentEDFIN was trying to help student because she wasn't usually available during the day due to in classStudent stated, she received separate emailsStudent and parents were informed in the College Planning interview that they will receive emails and to forward them to EDFIN
In my experience of almost two decades of College Planning, the awarding process continues as private and on campus donors send financial aid, scholarship throughout the academic year and award accordingly; the family was informed about thisThis is the same for Federal and State financial aidAs student's continue to register late or as a second semester or third semester student, the Financial Aid Office through the Department of Education continue to process and package students throughout the school year
In conclusion, EDFIN has been working with the student and parents to help with financial aid for the 2014-(awarded) and 2015-(award pending)EDFIN recommended to family to continue to help family to receive financial aid for the XXXX-XXXX academic yearAll colleges, including Humboldt State University is continuing to award student throughout the academic year until June 30, The student and parents were informed about this, but student is insistent that her university has finalized all awards
Thank you,

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No refund has been given to us yet as promised in the contractService was not satisfactoryAll money received from *** was $when we paid her $in cashHer response does not contain any pertinent information*** no longer needs access to students information or accounts because we requested a refund already, there is no more need for her 'service'We still want a refund
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2015/10/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
*** no longer needs access to my student accountRefund was promised in contract and have not received oneThus, *** has breached the contract
I have asked her numerous times for a refund, as promised and have not received oneIt states in the contract, "We guarantee our services, REFUNDS for Phase I,II,III,IV and VAll refunds will be processed at the end of the Academic Year June 30,2015; REFUNDS TAKE WORKING DAYS TO BE PROCESSED AND WILL BE DISBURSED MID AUGUST 2015." It's already October and we have not received a refund
Her 'exceptions' that would revoke a refund, listed under the refund policy, do not apply to me, so she has breached our contract
1.) I have been a continuous student at my university for years now-does not apply to me
2.) I forwarded all emails to their office every time I received one-does not apply to me
3.) My GPA has stayed above a the entire time I have been in college-does not apply to me
4.) I have never received any disciplinary action form my university, or been denied for any reason-does not apply to me
5.) I have responded to phone and email calls from Edfin, if for any reason I missed a call, I would re-scheduleThe last email I received from Edfin, asked me to make a phone appointment with ***, and this was already AFTER we had contacted them requesting a refundThey were blatantly ignoring our refund request, and we responded to their email (for a phone appointment) with another request for a refundThey sent yet another email, and tried to push another phone appointment and ignored our request, again
6.) I work on campus and I know, directly from the financial aid department AND my supervisor, the last day for financial aid to be disbursed was August 27th
After the 27th I did not receive financial aid, we had requested a refund from *** multiple times already, with no response from herWe did not need her service any longer so I locked her out of my student accountWhat I had noticed was she would find ways to prolong our waiting, and have excuses why I was not awarded yetBecause of this, I trusted the financial aid department and my supervisor; after the 27th she did not need access to my account
We would like our refund promised in the contract

Dear Revdex.com,
EDFIN has contacted Humboldt State University Financial Aid Office and the Department of Education to verify the deadline to receiving financial aid throughout the XXXX-XXXX academic as June 30,
EDFIN called Humboldt State University and spoke to Janet, Financial Aid Specialist all student initial awards packages with verification completed are awarded the beginning of the academic year
According to Janet, student can walk in ask for guidance to make revisions, or questions on being awardedJanet also indicated, HSU needs student to make changes or any questions regarding their award a month prior to the academic year ending, let's say in May, Student is eligible for additional financial aid and can be awarded once the entire process has been completed
As outlined in student's/families contract, families receive a refund only if EDFIN after completing all applications and processes, families are DENIED financial aid or didn't received an increase up and beyond what they have done on their own
After completing all the financial aid applications, forms, mentoring & coaching sessions, and finalizing students awarded; the student/family indicated the college deadline to receive financial aid has passedThis information is incorrectAccording to Federal Regulations, when students are eligible for financial aid, it's the Financial Aid Office responsibility to process and studentsThe deadline to be awarded for the XXXX-XXXX academic year through the Department of Education is June 30,
The family authorized & signed up for college planning services for two academic years XXXX-XXXX and XXXX-XXXX; giving EDFIN authorization to process all financial aid applications, forms, and working with the college on their behalf through a FERPA Authorization up until student is awardedSince the student/family has decided to discontinue their services in the end of the processes weeks prior to student being awarded
EDFIN doesn't have a problem issuing a refund after all the processes are completed as outlined in the contractIf student/family doesn't receive any form of financial aid, EDFIN will refund as outlined in their contract

Ref: *** *** attending Humboldt State University for XXXX-XXXX Academic Years
Dear Revdex.com:
This is in response to a refund for *** *** Revdex.com Case# XXXXXXXX
Client and parents hired EDFIN to help with financial aid for
college costs for XXXX-XXXX and was awarded As mentioned by the family, "We only received $from one scholarship *** provided; this is not satisfactory service." Since EDFIN was not satisfied with financial aid student received in XXXX-XXXX, EDFIN spoke to student's father, *** *** to help his daughter receive financial aid in XXXX-XXXX for no additional costs, and he agreed
EDFIN has processed all applications, for the XXXX-XXXX and XXXX-XXXX academic years Federal, State, Institutional Grants, and Scholarships & Student Loans The family made it clear they were not interested in Student Loans; therefore, EDFIN didn't accept these and continue to help family receive additional Federal or State financial aid
In working with the student's college (Humboldt State University), it apparent they have incorrectly awarded the student based off of incorrect information EDFIN has been diligently been trying to speed up this process and help fix the incorrect information; however, being locked out of the accounts, we unable to help the student
EDFIN agreed to help family receive financial aid for the XXXX-XXXX and not able to continue due to being locked out of accounts It is our goal to help our familiesWe are unable to continue helping full fill the contract when the student/family has locked the accounts, therefore, unable to continue helping family with financial aid for college costs
In regards to student indicating, "I was never notified when someone in their office was handling my personal information on educational assistance websites." Student complete a Authorization to Release and Confidentiality Agreement authorizing EDFIN to completed the entire process on student's and parent's behalf Student and Parent signed a contract (on file) indicating when they receive emails regarding student's Admissions, Financial Aid or any others emails regarding the process, to forward to EDFIN; student and parents agreed
In regards to student indicating, "I received separate emails within minutes showing my social security information and other personal identification was being usedI was alarmed by the volume of emails and sensitive information being used and called ***'s cell phone number since their office was closed at the timeI was greeted by *** telling me "This is my cell phone and it's after hours" which was not very professional or friendlyThe reason I had her cell phone number in the first place was because she provided it to me in case I needed to contact her." The College Planner, *** after hours cell phone was provided due to calls to student was distracting the student EDFIN was trying to help student because she wasn't usually available during the day due to in class Student stated, she received separate emails Student and parents were informed in the College Planning interview that they will receive emails and to forward them to EDFIN
In my experience of almost two decades of College Planning, the awarding process continues as private and on campus donors send financial aid, scholarship throughout the academic year and award accordingly; the family was informed about thisThis is the same for Federal and State financial aid As student's continue to register late or as a second semester or third semester student, the Financial Aid Office through the Department of Education continue to process and package students throughout the school year
In conclusion, EDFIN has been working with the student and parents to help with financial aid for the 2014-(awarded) and 2015-(award pending) EDFIN recommended to family to continue to help family to receive financial aid for the XXXX-XXXX academic year All colleges, including Humboldt State University is continuing to award student throughout the academic year until June 30, The student and parents were informed about this, but student is insistent that her university has finalized all awards
Thank you,

Dear Revdex.com,
EDFIN has contacted Humboldt State University Financial Aid Office and the Department of Education to verify the deadline to receiving financial aid throughout the XXXX-XXXX academic as June 30,
EDFIN called Humboldt State University and spoke to Janet, Financial Aid Specialist all student initial awards packages with verification completed are awarded the beginning of the academic year
According to Janet, student can walk in ask for guidance to make revisions, or questions on being awarded Janet also indicated, HSU needs student to make changes or any questions regarding their award a month prior to the academic year ending, let's say in May, Student is eligible for additional financial aid and can be awarded once the entire process has been completed
As outlined in student's/families contract, families receive a refund only if EDFIN after completing all applications and processes, families are DENIED financial aid or didn't received an increase up and beyond what they have done on their own
After completing all the financial aid applications, forms, mentoring & coaching sessions, and finalizing students awarded; the student/family indicated the college deadline to receive financial aid has passed This information is incorrectAccording to Federal Regulations, when students are eligible for financial aid, it's the Financial Aid Office responsibility to process and studentsThe deadline to be awarded for the XXXX-XXXX academic year through the Department of Education is June 30,
The family authorized & signed up for college planning services for two academic years XXXX-XXXX and XXXX-XXXX; giving EDFIN authorization to process all financial aid applications, forms, and working with the college on their behalf through a FERPA Authorization up until student is awarded Since the student/family has decided to discontinue their services in the end of the processes weeks prior to student being awarded
EDFIN doesn't have a problem issuing a refund after all the processes are completed as outlined in the contract If student/family doesn't receive any form of financial aid, EDFIN will refund as outlined in their contract

I was being charged and was told if I didn't pay my classes I would be drop. School started in August and I had no financial aid to help. And the school was already adding additional charges for late fees.
I specifically told her I wanted to go to UNLV she can stop posting numbers about CSUSM when that wasn't the school I wanted to go. So she can't stop trying to look like she was helping me out.
She promised to get me through school loan free for UNLV and said I wouldn't not need to work. She was only able to do that with loans. When I made it clear I DID NOT WANT TO HAVE ANY LOANS!!!!
Like I said if I wanted loans I would have gone through with FAFSA WHICH IS FREE!!! And not pay some scammer 2500$ to just get me additional loan I don't need and pay money for a stupid horrible service that only looks good on paper but doesn't provide the services it claims
