This business knows very well what the issues are, but let me explain in complete detail In December (months after closing) we noticed that the foyer floor was beginning to buckle This business was contacted and we were told to call the flooring company, which we did After over months of attempting to work with the flooring company, we were told they would not help and we needed to get back with the builder (Hughston Homes) After another number of attempts to get Hughston Homes to even come to look at problem, they referred us to the 2-warranty company After a number of conversations with 2-warranty company, we were informed they would not look into the problem and we had no other recourse with them In September it was discovered that we had mold growing in the wall due to Hughston Homes blatant disregard for how their homes were constructed At this point, Hughston Homes representatives did visit the home They made some comments, though not directly to us, but we believe by their inspection, they knew exactly what was the cause of all of our issues, but when they left, we knew they were not going to take responsibility for anything We have had an exterior home repair company come out to repair the damage so that we do not continue to have water pouring into our walls everytime it rainsWe have in writing that this is directly due to their faulty construction of the gutters/roofing It has also been suggested that this possibly may not have passed inspection at time of construction
This business wants to hide behind their "year warranty," but we had no way of knowing the extent of the issues In the beginning we honestly believed it was just a poor flooring installation job Until the mold was discovered directly above where the floor is ruined, we did not have any indication that water was coming into the home/walls
We do not know how any kind of honest business person out there thinks that it is ok to put people in this type of situation We will take this as far as necessary

Regarding the placement of the fence and gate at the ***'s homeThe fence and gate are placed where the gas company required placementSince the yard backs to a utility easement, we have to follow the requirements for that utility companyIf there is any question regarding placement the

The gas pipeline company did not require the current placement of the single double-wide gate Hughston homes did not properly supervise their sub-contractor to ensure proper placement in accordance with our contract. Hughston Homes is now seeking to avoid paying to fix the issue. I coordinated with Plantation Pipeline prior to signing a contract with Hughston Homes. The fence and gate specifications Hughston Homes signed on our legal contract were approved and even recommended by Plantation Pipeline. I have confirmed with Plantation Pipeline representatives that they did not tell Hughston homes or the fence contractor to put the fence anywhere specific, they were only on site to ensure digging did not damage the pipeline itself. The sub-contractor's actions are the responsibility of Hughston Homes and nobody else's. Furthermore, were there an issue with placement I should have been consulted immediately. Hughston Homes must fix the fence to meet their contractual obligations. I will now work through legal channels to compel Hughston Homes to uphold the contract they signedRegards,*** ***

Please see attached homeowner repair list. Homeowner signed off on sheet saying all repairs were completed As of 9-4-the homeowner is out of warranty with the builderPlease advise the homeowner to contact 2-warranty for further home maintenance

The homeowner is well within her rights to contact 2-Home Warranty CoWe have completed the work that was on her list turned in to our officeAt this point she is out of warranty with our company and no other issues will be addressedThe rep at 2-will explain to her what is covered and what is not

It was our understanding the issue with the yard had been addressed. The attached pics show that the road is still still wet from the rain so they can't be days after it has rained. Ms. [redacted] did come by our office to speak with me regarding the yard on 1/22/15. I received pics of what she felt were...

problem areas on 1/23/15. In the pics attached to this message, it appears work has been done. There is a burm that runs along the property lines that is designed to funnel the water to the drain at the front of the house and to the hill at the back of the property. That is the purpose of the design. to carry the water off the property. Because the water is directed to this area it should be expected to see water in that area. If after 72 hrs since the rain has stopped, water is still standing then there may be a problem.I did pull the [redacted]'s file. The other items listed in their complaint have never been addressed to our office that I am able to find. I can not speak on what they may have spoken to someone about out in the subdivision. I have spoken with our foreman and warranty supervisor about this
property. They both state they have completed work for the [redacted]s that
has not be sent into our office. I will pass these items on to our warranty department. If the [redacted]'s would email a full list of complaints to our warranty department email, [redacted], we will be happy to address any concerns they may have. I sent contact info for Ms. [redacted] to our foreman. He will contact her to set a day and time to assess the issue. It will not be an overnight fix. We do ask for continued patience as we arrange assessment and repair.[redacted]EHB Inc

 The quality of the home is poor.  The builder should take ownership.  But I see that is not going to happen.  We will follow up with the warranty, as well as JAG.
