Review: I received an estimate for various work on my 2007 Nissan Versa. One of the repairs was the replacement of a LT Handle Bezel on the passenger door. The price I was quoted for this part was $25.80. When I was scheduled to have this work done I was told that their was a price discrepancy and that I was now being charged $75.00 for this part. When II replied that I had no intention of paying a different price than the one originally agree to, I was offered a price of $37.50. This is still more than the price I was originally promised. In addition, I was forced to come back twice for this work to be performed as the correct part was not received and this would have been a third visit for work that was to have been performed all at once.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that this work be done as originally promised at the price of $25.80 for this part.

We take great pride in our work and strive to make all our customers happy. Its unfortunate that [redacted] is not willing to work with us on circumstances out of our control.[redacted] was called and informed that his door bezel that was on back order finally came in. He was also informed that there was a price increase. The specifics are that Nissan changed the design of the part and unknown to us sent the improved and revised part which now cost almost triple the original.We did not do the work and then surprise him with an upcharge. [redacted] was called and we apologized for the inconvenience it caused and explained that if he did not want this additional work done we would understand and return the part.We offered to split the cost of the part in half for [redacted] but he demanded that we absorb all of it. [redacted] also became very abusive and demanding during the phone call and basically stated that if we did not cover the full price increase he would take actions against our business.We are still owed a balance from the prior work in the amount of $182.00 for work completed. The cost to our business much more than $37.50 we asked him to pay. Our offer to split the cost still stands but we are convinced that the door bezel is not as important to [redacted] as the $182.00 he has not paid us.We are as always available to resolve this matter if [redacted] would like to discuss it further.

I am rejecting this response because:The fact that this business has a faulty system of ordering parts and verifying prices with their suppliers has nothing to do with the final consumer. It is obvious that they need to get an accurate price from their suppliers before quoting a price in writing to their consumer. No legitimate business would quote a price in writing and then renege on this price prior to doing the work. I had no intention of returning to this shop to have any more work done when they arbitrarily tried to raise the price of this part. The person I dealt with at this Company was argumentative and difficult to deal with. Regards,*
