Edison Furniture does not own any delivery trucks nor do we complete our own deliveriesAll deliveries are contracted out through a 3rd party, and it is explained to every customer that they are welcome to pick up merchandise or pay COD (CASH ON DELIVERY)Edison Furniture does not collect any
sort of payment for delivery at anytime, it is always the responsibility of the driver to collect from the customer at time of delivery
The Sectional that the Fountain family purchased was *IN STOCK*The only one left was the sectional that was on the floorAfter all the negotiations were complete and a price was agreed on they decided that they did not want the one off the floor they wanted a new one from the factoryAll special orders take 4-weeks depending on what manufacturer we are ordering from as well as weather conditionsWe accommodated the customer by giving them a very good price for a sectional off of the floor and then ordering one in brand new at no additional cost
Once again, we are not able to demand the third party delivery company to deliver "for free" because that is their job and the way they provide for their familyI am also not able to take the money out of our employees check because that is against the lawWe were very upfront about the CASH ON DELIVERY policy at the initial time of purchase
