Review: In July of 2013, I was looking into having my a/c and furnace replaced. I knew about the energy program that was available to NJ residents. We contacted Edison Heating & Cooling. The salesman ([redacted]) at Edison, confirmed with his supplier ([redacted]) that I will get a $1100.rebate from [redacted], and still can get the energy rebate, prior to commitment, and signing of contract. We had the units install on 8/1/2013. One month later, I am told the [redacted] rebate is on it's way. 2 weeks after, they now telling me that the [redacted] representative says I no longer qualify for rebate, because I took advantage of a energy rebate from board of utilities. I am told Edison can't do anything for me, and that I should contact [redacted] myself, which I did. Spoke with 2 representatives at [redacted], and learned that the rebate was no longer available for the period of my installation. They advise me to pursue this with Edison, since they misguided me, and they should be held accountable. I was also informed from [redacted], that the rebate from [redacted] and the rebate from the board of utilities have no effect from one to the other, they are totally different. The local regional representative ([redacted]) works for an independent supplier. They also suggested contacting Revdex.com for help. So in conclusion, I am without the rebate that I was promised. I do have paperwork showing the rebate, as a proposal and also the actual paperwork to file the rebate which was withheld and not processed. The rebates shows conflicting dates. Any help is greatly appreciated!Desired Settlement: Edison Heating & Cooling should stand behind what they quote to their customers. They should reimburse me, the rebate as promised, and then they should pursue their [redacted] representative.
