Edmonds Asphalt Maintenance

Review: Edmonds Asphalt Maintenance submitted their Proposal for 1.) Clean, 2.) Fill cracks larger than 1/4" with filler and 3.) Slurry seal one coat of 65% solid mix. The work involved 3 residences with a common driveway, 615, 629, & 643 [redacted], CA. The residents of the three listed properties who share the common driveway were - and are - concerned about the existing cracks due to weather and the appearance. Edmonds and I talked about this, and convinced me that hot crack filling was not appropriate and would be cosmetically unattractive. We agreed on filler with solid mix covering the completed fill of the cracks larger than 1/4". Edmonds also agreed that curbing maintenance along part of the driveway was included in the bid.The job occurred on Sept. 3, 2013. The driveway looks like it has a very good protective seal, and a professional appearance EXCEPT for many of the cracks which still exceed 1/4". In addition the curbing appears to have been coated, but there are several unrepaired areas. One of the staff came out at my request. He said he might bring back another person with him from Edmonds. He also mentioned possibly using an 85% mix on the cracks. Neither has happened. Also, I have called the office several times and been told "He's on a job all day," "He's in a meeting," "He's not in the office." My last call was on October 8th. I left a fairly detailed message and was told "I'll let him know." There has been no response.Desired Settlement: My neighbors and I would like this matter resolved by completion of the job at 615, 629 and 643 Cerro Romauldo. Specifically the cracks larger than 1/4" need to be filled for protection and pleasant appearance. The curbing also needs to be finished by filling the cracks, including a 3" gap in the curb. We would like this completed by October 30, 2013.We are satisfied with a majority of the work and prefer that our business with Edmonds Asphalt Maintenance not be adversarial.

I am rejecting this response because: Edmonds offers to add cold crack fill to "already filled cracks." However they state they will not slurry seal over the crack fill. The three homeowners believe this would remain an unfinished project, and that it would not fulfill the bid document specifications (which have been repeated here multiple times). The business has also stated that adding cold crack fill will be ineffective.
