Edmondson Automotive Reviews (1)

My problem is with the stated vehicle warranty and the continuous mechanical problems I am having. At the (POS) Point of Sale my vehicle was warranted for 30 Days or 1,000 miles. The vehicle contract shows that the amount of $995.00 was financed in my contract for an extended warranty and $695.00 worth of GAP. But no paperwork has been produced to show who warranties my vehicle and what is covered. 2/29/2015 the vehicle started stalling again. It had stalled twice before this day My vehicle had to be towed from a convenient mart in Rocky Mount because it would not start. I had to leave it there with the keys in the store clerk?s possession. She told me it was picked up around lunch time when I called to check. I picked it up on Sat. 3/5/ 2016. I was told it had an after factory alarm installed which was causing it to stall. I have not had that problem since. On 3/14/ 15 I called and explained there was transmission shifting problems. It was picked up from my home the same day by [redacted] Auto Towing after the driver attained the key from my place of employment. It was received at [redacted] Edmundson on 3/15/2016. On 3/15/2016 I found the service center and attained an informational statement of receipt of vehicle and the proposed problem for insurance purposes. The insurance company said they couldn?t authorize a vehicle rental because I had not been in an accident. So I had to rent a vehicle myself from [redacted] for 4 days to attend an out of town conference for my job from 3/16 to 3/19/206. The cost was around $350 or more; but deposit was refunded of $100.00.On 3/21/2015 I went to [redacted] Edmundson?s service center and checked mileage which was 109454. The car was sitting in the same spot the tow truck placed it in. After talking with Mr. Edmundson he told me that a transmission had been installed in this vehicle in the Fall of 2015 around October or November. At the signing of the contract the mileage was 108, 750. Only 704 miles had been put on the car. I stopped by again on 3/24/2016, because I was passing through, and [redacted] told me no repair parts had been received at that time. I called [redacted], the salesman on 3/25/2016 and talked with him about my concerns. He said he was forwarding my message to the owner of the car lot, [redacted]. I never received a call about my issue. On, 3/14/2016, around 10:00 AM, because I was out of service again, now due to having transmission problems and not changing gears, I contacted the finance company to let them know I had no vehicle and the service repairman said it could be another 2-3 weeks before I would have my vehicle back. I told them about the previous ignition problem. I was told I still had to make the payment. I asked to speak to the manager whom was unavailable. I left a voice message again for Manager, [redacted]; but a call was never returned. I spoke with salesman [redacted] again on this day about service. Again I left a return call number and the owner never returned my call. I called finance company twice again on 3/25/2016 and left another message for the manager, still no response.I called on 4/6, and 4/11/ 2016 I called for [redacted] three times. I got a call from lot on 4/12/2016 that the car was ready. When I called Edmundson Automotive, service had not been paid for. I finally picked the car up on 4/13/2016. I asked for the paperwork for warranty purpose, he and his wife said that it was given to [redacted] because he paid for the service and I had to get it from him. Edmundson Automotive had may car for almost 30 days, supposedly had put a transmission in it. For the days out of service I had to travel by taxi and can verify my expenses to and from work if necessary by letter of notarized statement. Two weeks later, on 5/2/2016 I called [redacted] from an unknown number to talk to him about transmission again because it was having the same initial problem of not changing gears. The car started straining again on 4/29/2016 again. I did speak with him in which he said this is the second transmission that he has supposed to have paid for and been installed in this car by [redacted] Edmundson and to take it back to him because he proclaims to warrant his work and to call him back with Mr. Edmundson?s telephone number. I asked for the paperwork and was told it was not given to him by Edmundson. As of today, Mr. Edmundson never has answered my calls nor returned messages. I am not comfortable with this action because I feel like my car was held to allow sufficient time to pass to lapse warranty and no repair work was actually done.Desired SettlementI would like for [redacted] and [redacted] Edmundson to be responsible for having my vehicle transmission replaced by the [redacted] dealership.
