Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/05/22) */
We always let the client check his/her belongings before the movers leaveThat is why customers were asked to sign the papers after the moveEveryone can file a claim and send pictures for compensation and we can't determine which is legit
and which is notWe investigators were not in the actual move and it is the reason customers were provided contract onsite to check the policies, terms and conditions and they were given the right to inform us about all of the issues occurred to their move.Every company has it's own responsibility towards their customers, same thing with the customers they have responsibilities as the consumer too and part of it is to read the contractWe let them check and read everything before signing the documents, we have a comment box for them and for us to determine if the move went well and if there were missing or damaged itemsAll of the documents we need for insurance were signedCredit Card payment forms were signed as well indicating that the customer agreed with the amount being charged to his cardIt is always a requirement for our movers to submit a report about the every move they have been completed and it is our only proof and hold for compensation

The truck that we sent was a standard size for what they have declared 2 bedroom apartment. It is the standard size of all moving companies. If we brought a small van all of her stuff will not fit in and it will cost her more money by doing...

second trip.Regarding the missing food item our movers denied they took or ate them and no one can prove it because the customer was with our guys all those times. Unlike missing furniture, food item is not included on the list of our insurance. Before our movers left we always let customers check their belongings and the inside of the truck if there would be item unloaded and we have papers on that. We can't process this kind of claim.

I moved from a 1 bedroom apartment. I think this response about the missing food items is downright condescending and twisted. I never implied the movers ate the food. Besides it was raw rice and cornmeal. The whole point is that some boxes went missing and I found out because I was looking for the rice to cook. I want the moving company to be accountable for missing items
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/14) */
The customer checked the truck before the movers left and it was empty. We have a signed document about it. We also did not receive any report from our Edmonton office that they found a box that day.

How do you know where the boxes were lost? They could have been left at the old place just like what they did to their dolley. Why not taking responsibilty for the lost items?
