EDO Hibachi

Review: I went to this restaurant on Mothersday, May 11, 2014. The advertisement in Clipper Magazine said "$1 kid's hibachi on Sundays with the purchase of an adult hibachi dinner." The advertisement did not have a disclaimer regarding holidays or certain sundays. Upon ordering, I asked to confirm the special and was told that they honor it for any sunday, except TODAY (5/11/14 because it was mothers day). Then he pointed to a sign on the front door that indicated it would not be honored today.I made my mothersday reservations in advance, they didn't warn me over the phone, I had no way of knowing this until I got there. This was the first time I have eaten at the restaurant and we stayed simply because it was mothers day and I didn't want to ruin this special day for my wife. Otherwise, I would not have given my business to an establishment that pulls this kind of false advertising. I spoke to a manager and he claimed there was nothing I could do except go to the website and send an email complaining.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for my meal that day but would be open to other alternatives. My bill was $98.15 and I realize that this special would have only saved me approximately $30 for my 2 kids. But this shenanigan set the tone for our day and really hindered what should have been an enjoyable meal.
