Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me (Pending the timely receipt of a refund within days.)
Regards,

We are being more than fair in even accepting this engine backYou made your purchase on 11/4/15, received the engine 11/11/15, and contact us that it’s a supposed wrong engine on 4/27/THAT’S ALMOST MONTHS LATERANY other company would’ve told you that you’re out of luck, we didn’t do that
You claimed that injectors were different and oil cooler, you must do your research, all of the Renesis engines come with red injectors, other than that they will have different color injectors for the 6-port and the 4-portOn top of things, you open a claim through Revdex.com, open a claim through ***, and bash us on social mediaOnce again, ship the engine back so we can credit you backThank you

I am rejecting this response because:The company did send me pictures of the item before handBut you can not tell in the pictures that the item is broken and not usable if you do not see it in person firstBefore purchasing this item it was clearly stated by the company that all parts of this package was inspected and in good orderWhich after it arrived was definitely not the caseI followed everything with there warranty procedure and still no luck with them working with me on this matterI have already bought a new transmission to replace the deadline one they shipped meAt this point I'm not even battling for payment or compensation of the extra costs they are making me go thruI want it known about there conduct of business so others will not have to go thru the same thing
Regards,
Jerimiah Rich

I apologize but once again, you are making an attempt to be reimbursed for something we do not cover under our warranty policyWe have already addressed and made good on the exchange of the engine per your concerns

We are here Monday through Friday 9-6, and Saturdays 10-4, during this time, prior to purchasing the engine, customer was able to give us a call regarding any questions for installing this engine therefore with us telling him after the engine was delivered, we told him to change everything over must have been known by the customerSubaru engines are boxer engines that have heads on opposite sides of it and in the center is the blockWe purposely put oil in the cylinders so there is no dry start on the engineDry starting an engine can possibly cause scoring of the cylinder wallThis is why the engine may have been showing signs of oil dripping past the valves due to their designNow, customer went on a gut feelingUnfortunately, at this point there is no way to confirm the customer's gut feeling since the engine was torn down and practically refreshed with new parts, not the same used parts the engine came withNow, the customer was able to return the engine if it had failed at start up, that's what a "start up warranty" isCustomer is to have the engine installed, and if there is a problem with the engine, it needs to be addressed at this time, not once the customer has disassembled the engine and not even had it runningOur gut feeling is that the engine was fine and without any problemsOnce again, we cannot go on gut feelings since at this point the engine has been torn down and new parts were installed*** even told the customer to ship back the bad engine, that of which was never doneMy question is, why would a customer want to keep an engine that he/she had a gut feeling had issues? He had an opportunity to ship it back to us for a full refund and never did

Buyer ordered an EJ205 turbo engine. Our warranty is a start up warranty meaning that the engine is 100% guaranteed to start and run without defect. His first diagnosis was for the engine not even having been installed in the vehicle, therefore if he was requesting a warranty claim, he was not going...

through the warranty guidelines since the engine was not even installed, was not ran, and even didn't show any sign of failure. Customer states that he could not waste time and money installing an engine that he knew needed to be pulled out, yet he removed the heads and had them sent to a machine shop. This is time consuming and costly as well. All we asked the customer to do was to install the engine, send us a work order stating the issues, provide mechanic's certification, and a video of the problem as it's happening. He never provided this since he did not install the engine. If he would've provided this, we wouldn't have an issue with providing a replacement. Now, the biggest issue is this, the customer is at no point in time authorized without written consent to disassemble an engine and/or transmission. This will void the warranty. The buyer is requesting money back for the machine shop work that was done on an engine that he voided the warranty on. On top of that, our warranty does not cover the shipping or labor charges. [redacted] should be well aware of this policy since he did purchase it on our website and all terms and conditions are posted on our website. Attached are screen shots of the order itself, warranty information that is attached with every invoice that goes out with all orders, as well as a screenshot of the website warranty information.

I am rejecting this response because: During discussions prior to the purchase I clearly asked about pre product inspections the company does. The transmission on this set is deadline due to a break in the casting. Now how can that pass an inspection to be a good product to sale and be represented as a product that can be used.

Customer claimed the engine was knocking. We asked him for work order from his mechanic as well as ASE certification. We later come to find out that the engine was seized. The engine did not go out to the customer seized. Customer has a video showing the engine running. How does an engine just...

seize? The video showed the engine running. If the cooling passages are not purged, that can lead to the engine seizing. Lack of lubrication through the oil pump, can lead to the engine seizing. Timing belt, water pump, and oil pump are required to be changed before installation. If the buyer neglected to do this, then the liability of the engine seizing would fall under the buyer's responsibility. All emails sent to the buyer have been addressed and answered. We also told the buyer that if he still wanted the engine, it was available for pick up.

[redacted] first off, I'd like to apologize for anything and everything with the engine ordeal. I'd also like to apologize for no one getting back to you with the approval of the $350 refund. Please keep in mind that we have to submit it for final approval. Once again, the $350 partial refund was...

approved and will be credited back to you.

I am rejecting this response because: Correct, there is two sides to the story. Great job on your time line details, slow hand clap buddy. I also, REMOVED the labor from the initial invoice and re-sent only for the turbo and shipping that you stated VERBALLY over the phone twice you would "take care of" if a rebuild was not possible. You continue to lie even over the Revdex.com transmissions and is disgusting. You have similar reviews on [redacted] so this should be of no surprise your business actions and how you handle situations. It is apparent you did not see or read the update invoice we provided for the turbo and shipping which also shows a lack of attention to detail on your end. Any/all invoice that are not paid within the allotted time will be sent to collections. If you are not willing to cover the amount of the 3rd turbo and shipping as you personally we will continue to have a problem. That is all we are asking to have this matter resolved.
Thank you.

I will begin by dissecting each one of your concerns and replying to them. "Terrible Parts service." You ordered an engine that was sub par of anything that should be installed into a vehicle per your observation. For that, we apologized and did our due diligence to bring it back and replace it at...

our expense. Anything and everything regarding our warranty, products, and services are posted on both our website and reverse side of your invoice. "Business ethics."  I do not see how business ethics comes into play with this since we did satisfy a warranty claim and shipped out a secondary turbo (which we do not cover under warranty). "Customer service." Each one of your concerns was addressed in a timely fashion via email. Lastly, "owner is a pathological liar." Can you please provide us the email where it was stated that a secondary turbo would be exchanged or replaced, since we have done all communications via email? Per your emails and notes under your file, I see your order was processed and shipped on Wednesday 5/17/17. The motor set was received by you on Thursday 5/18/17.  You did not express concern for the engine until 6/27/17. From this point, we didn't receive the motor set back until Friday 7/21/17. We pushed out the second engine on  Monday 7/24/17. On Friday 8/18/17, we received the turbo back from you and on Monday 8/21/17 we shipped out the replacement. This is the entire timeline for this transaction. The turbo was replaced even though our warranty policy states these items are not part of our warranty. Now, you sent us a "bill" for $519.12 stating if we don't pay, you'd contact a collection agency. Per your invoice, it was for labor costs. I will state this here, it is stated on my website, as well as on each invoice that leaves this establishment, I do not cover labor under our warranty. That is an industry standard. Any company that provides used engines and transmissions does not warranty labor. We went above and BEYOND to correct this mistake. Now you turn around and bill us for labor and bad mouth us on social media as well as our [redacted] Business page. That's fine. I just want readers to know that there are ALWAYS two sides to a story. This is why I felt the need to address each and every single one of your concerns.

I'm glad we sent the pictures before the actual sale of the item, if not, this would be blown out of proportion. If there was anything that was not up to par with the motor set prior to taking the order, you should have stated it beforehand. This is why we sent you the images, so there isn't...

confusion. You agreed. What more needs to be said. It would've been worse had we not sent you the pictures, but it was not even like that. You requested the pictures, we sent them, you confirmed, we took the order, we shipped the item.

Revdex.com: The engine siezed after it ran shortly for 15 minutes. The water pump and timing components were replaced. I have records of that along with the parts in my possession. They're right, how's does an engine just sieze? I'm clueless as much as their mechanic. I'm ase certified and my help is a recertified master tech. They didn't say to rebuild the whole engine before installing.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

after the engine was delivered to me, they told me I had to switch over all my parts down to the long block, after taking off the exhaust it was clear the engine needed a valve job, oil was dripping behind the valves into the exhaust. I told them this and have pictures to prove it clearly needed work. I could not waste the time and money to swap everything over to this known bad engine, and install it into the car  knowing it has to come back out to send back. no buisiness in thier right mind would do this. I had to pull the heads off to send them to a machine shop, I was told it needed all valve guides and seals. not to mention after pulling the heads off finding on top of needing a valve job the headgasket on the drivers side was leaking coolant into the cylinders and into the head bolts causing more damage.
