Yesterday, I received a citation to appear in Civil Court from Edu Cap alleging I was in default of a student loanI am the secondary signature on this loan and this was the first time I have ever heard thisI did not receive any notice of this defaultAs secondary signatureI am fully aware that I am responsible but I object to getting a citation if I had never had the opportunity to respond to said citation in the first place!!
I warn anyone who wants to get a loan with this company and I will take action to clearing my name

Good afternoon [redacted]. I would like to close out the complaint against Loan to Learn. I spoke with a person by the name of Mark, and he took care of the issues that I was having in regards to payment and credit reporting. I am not sure if they will receive this email, but in the event they do,...

please let Loan to Learn know that as a customer, it great to receive such great customer service. He actually listened, and was very understanding. He took the time out to look into the issue and made me feel as though my concerns were important. I am very thankful for that. So, because of his action, I would like to close out the complaint. A resolution has been met, and I am very satisfied with the outcome.Thank you,[redacted]

I do not want to...

become their "customer". I do not understand their response to this matter.  I have reached out to them before, they resolved the issue in 2014, then the issue began again.  It is unacceptable to tarnish someone's credit unnecessarily and unlawfully. The only acceptable response is to stop falsely reporting on our credit reports.

Review: This was a student loan, and was put up for collection and then turned over to an attorney. They WILL NOT return my calls or provide any info on my account. This has been paid off and they still show it on my credit report. When I call them, they never return my calls. It was paid off on July 11, 2014 and will not provide any payment history, or any documentation of any thing in this file. they say I have never made a payment. After paying almost 30,000.00 dollars on a 10,000 loan (which if every payment was made on time would have been paid off in 2025, yes that's right, its paid of 11 years early. I want my file with all payments recorded, as I have cancelled checks to prove it.Desired Settlement: If I don't get info, I will file a civil suit for damages.

Review: In May 2011 my Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the [redacted] Superior Court in [redacted], CT was discharged as I had to file due to medical bills associated to my daughter's health. As it's the case with most bankruptcies, if not all chapter 7 pleadings, the person filing cannot make preferential payments during the bankruptcy proceedings. I was ordered by the court to not make any payments to creditors until the discharge was complete. Once the discharge of my debts were complete, I reached out to EDUCAP , my student loan company, to resume making payments on the outstanding balance of approximately $19,245.00 remaining on my account. My repeated phone calls to resume my student loan payments were rejected and I was threatened with an attorney coming after me for full, lump some payment. Then, immediately after their threats, I was served papers by EDUCAP represented attorney. They threatened me to either pay double what I had originally owed them or they would take me to court and continue to destroy my credit. I was forced to retain an attorney to assist me as I was stunned when EDUCAP (and is still doing so) that I pay nearly 100% above and beyond the original amount owed them or they would continue to damage my credit and take me to court. This tactic by this student loan company is nothing short of predatory lending as they are trying to extort from me. Their actions are simply illegal. I hope Revdex.com can assist me with this matter or I'm left no choice but to contact the Connecticut Attorney Genera's office, the US Department of Education and the Federal Trade Commission for additional assistance.Desired Settlement: All I want to do is resume making my monthly payments to EDUCAP and not be shaken down as they are currently doing. Their tactics and actions are illegal and very disturbing, to say the least.

Review: I took out a consolidation loan through [redacted] aka EduCap back in 2005 to pay off my [redacted] Federal Loans. To my knowledge my loan was paid. Almost 8 years later I'm getting calls from the Department of Education stating they never received payments. Of course I called [redacted] the customer service, and the representative "[redacted]" said he would help. They even sent me a copy of the notice of disbursement, and verbalized they would send my a copy of the cancelled check. "[redacted]" even verbalized that [redacted] had communication with [redacted] as to what the payment was for ([redacted] LOANS) It's been over a month, and [redacted] now states they can't help me, or prove that I paid this debt in 2005. I believe [redacted] realized they did not pay this debt, are trying to cover their tracks. The representation doesn't even want to help me anymore after realizing the error. Now I'm transferred to his supervisor, [redacted].If [redacted] did receive payments from them, they should be able to provide copies of the cancelled checks, and not excuses as to why they can't. Mind you the Department of Education is on my tail for payment. My only other option is to take legal action. Help Revdex.com!!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like for [redacted] to provide me with documentation that the loan was paid to [redacted] for my [redacted] loans in 2005.I would also like original copies my application, & for them to produce copies of the cancelled check to prove that payment was made on my behalf.
