Review: My service (installation of new wood floors) was started on May **, 2014. The job was expected to take 5 days. It took 14 days. The business is uninsured (I learned too late) and asked for a significant deposit-I agreed on $3,500 (of $6,000 total). [redacted] pushed further when he was a little more than halfway through the job for more money which should have been a red flag for me. I gave him another $1,000. I refused to pay the balance until he was finished, or so I thought. Not until after he left, did I realize the pocket door between my bedroom and the hallway had not been re-installed correctly and dragged across the new floor whenever it was opened or closed (which is a frequent need). Today is September *, 2014 and despite numerous calls and requests for him to come back and finish the job, he won't. He doesn't answer my phone calls and only picks up when I am able to call him from a new (unrecognizable) phone number. I am very upset. I only want the job which I paid for in full to be completed as promised. My entire experience with him and his team was unprofessional and I strongly advise against using his services.Please let me know if there are other details I can provide to make my case stronger.Desired Settlement: I would like him to pay for someone else to finish the job he should have completed. I would settle for $200.
