the background: Our company had scheduled two workshops to take place on Saturday, October and Sunday, October 9, 2016, in Orlando, FloridaOn Tuesday, October 4th, we were alerted to the impending hurricane MatthewHurricane Matthew had devastated Haiti and was heading for the south-eastern portion of the United StatesAt that time the Governor of the State of Florida issued a state of emergencyIn consideration of the safety of our attendees, we made the decision to reschedule the events in Orlando.On Wednesday, October 9, we issued a letter (see attachment 2) alerting our registered attendees of the rescheduled workshop datesAll flights into the Orlando airport were cancelled and as we ourselves experienced, the airlines allowed us to reschedule our flights for the new workshop dates at no penalty. As of today, October 13, 2017, attendees have been issued their new tickets for the rescheduled Orlando, Florida event dates of May 20-21, Attached is a copy of the rescheduled event ticket, which was issued to the originator of this complaint(see attachment and 4, the rescheduled event dates are at the top, left on the page) Prior to purchasing a ticket for our workshops, purchasers see our company’s clearly posted, no refund policy(see attachment 5, a screen-shot from the purchasing page on our website) Even though we understand how disappointing changing plans can be, the safety of the all involved, is always our first and foremost consideration In over years of putting on these workshops, this is the very first time we have had to reschedule. We believe we have appropriately resolved this matter with the issuance of tickets to the rescheduled events and followed the stated terms and conditions upon which the customer originally purchased the tickets.
