This letter is in response to the above reference complaint, (ID [redacted] ), filed by [redacted] on April 1st, We truly regret the inconvenience to Ms [redacted] regarding transmission issues with her vehicleMs [redacted] brought her Ford Freestyle to our shop in August of with obvious transmission issuesThe transmission for this vehicle is NOT rebuildableWe purchased a NEW transmission from Sharp Parts, (Ford), and installed the unit at a cost of $5,, (see attached)The warranty through Ford covers three, (3) years with unlimited milesThe vehicle was returned to our facility on or about March 6, with transmission issuesUpon inspection we would need to replace the transmission under warranty at no cost to Ms [redacted] The transmission arrived about 3/15/and was promptly installedUpon final inspection we determined this transmission was faultyWe called Sharp Parts, (Ford), and they sent us another new replacement unitThis unit arrived about 3/23/We installed this unit with no additional issuesFord Motor Company agreed to pay our labor rate for these two installations totaling $Our policy here at Edward's Transmissions is not to release a vehicle until payment is renderedThe Owner of our Company, Kevin C***, was on vacation until 3/30/MrC [redacted] agreed to release the vehicle without payment to Ms [redacted] on 4/1/prior to our receipt of this noticeThe vehicle was picked up on 4/1/after business hoursFord Motor Company will not issue an extended warranty per policyPlease notify us with any further questions or concerns Sincerely, Marty R [redacted] Shop Manager
