I had been a loyal customer of Edwards for almost 20 yrs. That has ended. On August 14th, I took my car into Edwards, thinking I may have had a blown head gasket. A week later I called and the answer was "Oh it may take a few more days to fix". I called on 8/14. "Oh, it should be fixed today". At the end of the day I went to the shop and spoke with [redacted], who I assume is the owner. HE GUARANTEED it would be complete the next day (8/25) by noon. The had had it for 12 days. At 1130 on 8/26, I was call "Oh, its a cracked head. It took until 8/31 to fix. The next day (9/1), the check engine light came on. The next morning (9/2) is started idling rough and would not rev over 3000 rpms. I returned it demanding it be looked at immediately and that I needed the car the next day. I returned at 5pm just like I told him I would. The comment to me was, "Oh, I thought you wanted me to look at it tomorrow." Here I am 3 wks later, over $1000 less in my wallet and a car that does not run. I would think after all that time and money they should be able to fix it correctly. Obviously, I am mistaken.

You have given a non-existing inc. a good rating. They have fooled you for since 1985 as print out says. You have them listed in good standing but they are a fraud and no such address exit. I seeking dissolution the business it is a fraud with no workmen compensation or employee with no tax returns. "I've been here for 30 years and no one ever asked me any taxes".Fail to repair car after taken, with held the vehicle for 5 to six weeks. Edwards said to insurance he repair vehicle for $541 from my insurance claim as receipt states. He failed to repair the car as the estimate from the insurance who visit his shop as they both agreed. The insurance sent a check to Edwards Auto Repair shop and paid the difference I paid and he fail repair the vehicle.Edward's finally returned the car with the gearshift stuck in neutral and that was not stuck when brought in. then he took off parts and put in front seats so grease have damages the seats, need replacement sponges and cover amount to over $2,000 damages and vehicle was not safe to drive. It only with hand brake when park or not at all. Edward's did damages to vehicle that did not exist when vehicle was driven in by owner [redacted]. After finally paying Edward's $497.00 he return the vehicle and took it to the [redacted] where they repaired the vehicle for $ $900 paid one more part need put it was ordered and put the same parts that Edward's charge and bill in which is fraud. The cost to repair was over 1,200 and I had to afford the expense of another month rentals that cost $930 dollars. I will mail and included the repair from both shops and rental from both times. My insurance paid the first and when he refused return car he attempt to repair the vehicle but had diagnose it wrong. The attempt to repair wraps the gear in foil in which he did not repair the car. Left a handicap person endangers and wanted me drive vehicle with gear shift stuck in natural, no park. The conclusion that no repairs was done the cost is now all most $5,000 worth of damages. I need your help. Please close them down.Desired Settlement: 6.Take funds on false pretenses.7.I four estimates presented for payment. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Edwards Auto Care has been in business for over 30 years. We have always been licensed and insured and our staff has a combined 150 years’ experience in the auto repair industry.[redacted] came to us for an estimate to repair her car for a non-starting and shifting issue. We provided her with a written estimate which the agreed to. We performed the work and let her know it was ready. At this time she asked us for estimate on body work and a rebuilt transmission. She stated that she had pending litigation against a repair shop, towing company, [redacted] and her insurance company [redacted]. We took her vehicle to two body shops and obtained estimates for her. Also, we provided an estimate for a rebuilt transmission. We did this as a courtesy at no charge. While dealing with these issues [redacted] left and the vehicle for a number of weeks and we never charged storage. [redacted] asked if she could have her car and withhold payment until her pending litigation was settled. We told her this would not be possible. After several more weeks she paid for the repair and retrieved her vehicle. We feel we have done everything possible for [redacted] as we provided her with additional estimates, storage and several courtesy rides at no charge. We sincerely wish [redacted] the best as she confronts life’s challenges.

I've been taking my cars to Edwards for years, they are the only mechanics I trust!
