My vehicle was needing serviced and also a few things check out because of a recall. I did not get my car back for over 3 months.
I took my car to be serviced and to have a clicking noise check out. The car also needed to have the rear window headlight fixed due to a recall. I was told at the time it may take some time ***. I received a call within two days telling me the clicking was a knuckle that needed replaced and I also needed struts. They did not know when they would receive the knuckle *** and there were no other service departments with any extra in stock. I was at first getting weekly updates basically just saying they do not have the parts yet. I talked with *** and let him know I had received an email from *** that my tire only had 10 psi of air in it and that needed checked out and I also since the car was there and I had spent so much money on having the car seats treated when I purchased the vehicle I wanted them to see if they could get a stain removed from the back seat. He said he would take care of both and if they could not get the stain out they would have it sent to be detailed. I got a call back that they could not find any leaks in the tired but they had aired it up and that they were able to get the stain out of the back seat. In late *** I got a call that my parts were in and that my car would be fixed the next day. They call the next day and said they had finished the knuckle but they hadn't realized they would need to order a whole new headliner due to rain leaking through the back brake above the back window causing damage. *** did not know when they would receive that in. Finally last week, On Friday *** I was able to go pick up my car. My car had not only been there since *** but the tire was at 9psi and my back seat had no stains removed from it. I was provided a loaner car while my car was gone which was really nice but I requested a car and not a SUV twice due to gas mileage but they could not provide one. Overall my car had a knuckle replaced and the headliner replace after fixing the rear brake above the back window and an oil change. My tire was not addressed not were the stains removed from my seats even though the car sat there for over three months. This time frame may not be directly at the fault of Edwards *** but they definitely could have addressed all the problems it was having it while it sat there.

Desired Outcome

I would like my tire fixed and the car detailed since they were not able to get the stains out of the seats and the treatment I had bought with the car guarantees stain removal. I would also like some kind of sorry we kept your car for months and did not address all your issues. They really acted like this was not a big deal. I went with out my car for months and even though they provided a loaner I still was out money since it was a SUV and I drive quite a ways for work which required a lot more money than I'm used to paying for gas. *** every dime counts.

Although I am thankful they responded I only received a call from the service attendant once last week and I have tried returning his calls every day since then. I have left 4 messages with no response.

Again, we will be taking care of Ms. and the service manager will be the one in contact.

Their sales team made our purchase quick and easy! They had the exact vehicle we were looking for already in their inventory. We were very happy with our purchase and our experience.

Customer service is a joke. If you aren't happy or have a problem after purchasing a car, you won't get a response. It feels like all they wanted to do is get you in any car as fast as possible and then they don't care what happens or how you feel after that. We've left multiple messages with David, the financial adviser that we worked with and have been in touch with Denny, apparently his manager, and still have not heard back from either. Any time we actually get anyone on the phone, they tell us we'll get a call back and never do. We also didn't get explained how much the extra plan A would be and when we went back and read the contract, we didn't agree with it. Maybe that technically falls on us because we didn't take the time to read it there. But we both had worked over 10 hours that day and wanted to go home. Not saying that's an excuse but a good company with people who cared about their business would try to work with you, they don't even put through any effort and it's extremely sad that that this is how we had to find out. They also told us that we needed to get the car inspected due to us living in Nebraska and buying in iowa, they said all we would need to do it take it to an inspector here in NE and be done. Wrong. We needed the title in which we don't have because we took out a loan and we've tried to message them about that as well and still nothing in return. I'm extremely disappointed and being someone who has been in the customer service industry all her life, I am appalled that this company can say they are one for their customers.

I dropped my *** off to Edwards Repair Center on Wednesday and on Monday I received a call that my wheels were stolen overnight.
On Wednesday *** I dropped my *** Chevrolet *** off to Edwards Chevrolet Cadillac Service Center, located at *** in ***, to have my transmission diagnosed and replaced. On the morning of Monday ***, I received a phone call from the service department at Edwards and they informed me that the rims and tires were stolen off of my vehicle overnight. My wife and I had just purchased these rims and tires 7 day prior to dropping it off to Edwards Repair Center.
The representative on the phone asked me to make a police report and that the service writer would contact me after speaking with his higher authorities. Later in the afternoon I received a call from the service writer, and he stated that I needed to handle the situation with my insurance company, and that Edwards is not liable for the situation. The transmission has not been put in my vehicle, and Edwards had full possession of my vehicle, so I am extremely frustrated and do not feel that these are fair actions.

Desired Outcome

I am looking for Edwards Service Center to pay to replace the rims and tires that were stolen off of my vehicle while they were in possession of my vehicle.

Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response • Oct 29, 2019

A question has been asked as to why the vehicle was moved into the shop and then back to the lot. Answer to question: When Mrs. came to the dealership to remove personal items, the vehicle had been parked awaiting the transmission warranty repair requested by the customers. After that, the vehicle was then brought into the shop to to disassemble the vehicle as necessary so that repairs could begin. However, at that time it was discovered that the parts needed to complete the repairs were not yet at the dealership. As a result of that fact, the repair had to be delayed and the vehicle was taken back out of the shop.

The vehicle was again parked on the dealership lot while it awaited repair. The vehicle was moved to an available spot at that time. There would be no reason to return the vehicle to the exact same location it was before while it awaited repair. The spot where the vehicle had previously been parked could have been taken by another vehicle in the interim; Edwards Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC can not recall. Keys to vehicles being serviced are in a box which are assessable to any tech or service advisor during business hours. To Edwards knowledge, the keys for this vehicle were always where they were supposed to be.

The *** have now returned the loaner vehicle that had been provided at no charge by Edwards. The service work has been performed and Edwards loaned the *** wheels and tires , at no cost to the customer, pending resolution of this matter.

After them doing $4500 yo the 2010 Traverse that has been paid for we picked up the vehicle and was told to drive it cir s couple of days yi see how it would run. When left tried to get on the interstate the Traverse wouldn't go past 40mph and when stopped at a corner stop sign or a red light the warning system would say shut vehicle down low pressure. Then we took the vehicle back to Edwards chevrolet and they did more work Edwards chevrolet was told not to do anything that would cost us any money because of the extended warranty that was purchased abd now they are holding our vehicle for unauthorized work in the amount of $2300. I have submitted a claim against *** and haven't received any response yet. It's been over a week and im 52 years old and feel like they string armed me. My employer is threatening to fire me because I can't go to work I only have the one vehicle. The general manage and owner of edwards chevrolet will not help me with this issue even after I let them know that I was losing my job.

Thank you

Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response • May 14, 2019

Tracy *** brought her vehicle to Edwards Chevrolet for a mechanical repair. Ms. purchased the high mile vehicle from a used car dealership and purchased an extended warranty. Ms. had had a previous repair done on the vehicle that had caused engine damage, the repair was not done correctly. Edwards Chevrolet tore down Ms. vehicle for $250 (normally a $2500 charge) to try to help her out of this situation which was caused by a bad repair from another source. Edwards Chevrolet would have provided Ms. a loaner vehicle to use immedaitely but Ms. could not provide proof of insurance. Ms. chose to rent a car from Enterprise, they do not require proof of insurance. During this time the extended warranty company sent out an inspector to look at the vehicle. The extended warranty company took several weeks to decide if they would cover the cost of the extensive amount of repair needed to fix the damaged engine. During this time Ms. produced an insurance card and Edwards Chevrolet immediately provided her a loaner vehicle. The extended warranty company ultimately decided not to cover the repair needed for the vehicle she had brought in for repair. At this time Edwards Chevrolet needed the loaner vehicle back from Ms.. Ms. refused to bring the loaner vehicle back. Edwards Chevrolet retrieved the loaner vehicle to find over $1,144.00 in damage to the vehicle. There is also over $700 in rental car expense from Enterprise that will not be covered by Ms. extended warranty company. There is currently a $525 storage fee on the vehicle needing repair. And lastly, Ms. insurance was not current and the insurance information provided was false. At this time Ms. vehicle will be returned to her once the $2,619.00 bill she has accrued is paid.

They replaced a part that didn't need to be replaced and charged me for it.
I dropped my *** off at 9am on ***. My issue was that the drivers window and power locks stopped working when I disconnected the battery. I told them that when I dropped it off. I also told them that the computer just needed to be reset. They know this is an issue with ***. They said they would look into it.

*** called me and told me that they found the drivers window control switch was bad. I questioned that it was bad and told them again what I did and what I believe it needs. He told me that they tested everything and that the drivers window control switch was bad. I told them to replace it since they said it was bad. I also asked them to add a key fob to the bill and install it.

I got there about 4 to pick my truck up. I asked *** for the old switch back before I paid the bill. I got the old switch back and paid the total bill of $*** on my debit card. I went out into the parking lot and installed the old window switch and everything worked fine. I went back inside and told *** that they lied to me that the switch was bad and needed to be replaced. I told *** I have it installed in my truck outside. He left and made 2 different phone calls. When he finally came back he asked to see the old switch working. I took him outside and gave him my keys to the truck. *** tested the old switch inside the truck and everything worked perfect.

*** and I went back inside and he got back on the phone again. He came back and said since I approved the repair that there is nothing he can do for me. I told *** I wanted to talk to the service manager. *** said he already talked to *** and there is nothing he will do for me.

I told *** that this is not the way to take care of a customer. I took my truck there for a 5 minute fix that only a dealer can do. I thought Edwards was a trustworthy dealership. I was wrong.

This is on Invoice# *** for a total of $***.

Desired Outcome

I am wanting them to refund me for the window switch that they said was bad and replaced. Even though it was not bad and I showed *** that in their parking lot. The switch cost $***.

Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response • Feb 15, 2019

Mr. had a friend drop his *** off to the Edwards Chevrolet Cadillac Service Department on ***. At the time the vehicle entered the service drive the window switch and door locks were inoperable. Mr. through a phone call authorized $*** diagnostic technician to test the switch. At this time it was found that there was power and ground run to the switch but no output. The window became operable by manually manipulating the wires. The technician determine the cause was an internal short of the circuit board/switch. Mr. was then contacted by phone again with a quote for a replacement of the switch. Mr. asked if the switch could be reprogrammed, which he was informed there is no programming involved. Mr. then approved the $*** estimate for replacement. Mr. asked for the old part when he paid for and picked up his vehicle. Through this complaint Edwards Chevrolet Service Department has been informed that Mr. reinstalled his old switch and it is temporarily working. Due to the intermittent short inside the old switch the inoperable windows and door locks will happen again. The new switch is an electrical part which can not be returned to the manufacturer once installed. The old switch may temporarily work but the issue will happen again due to the short in the switch. The new part is the only true fix for the issue Mr. brought the *** in for and for which he authorized repair.

Vehicle broke down upon leaving the dealership - returned within 10 min of signing paperwork. Dealer will not give deposit back and still has car.
*** broke down upon leaving dealership within a few minutes of signing paperwork on ***. Immediately returned car. *** - sales would not give me answer as to what was wrong with car. Would say you can pick up tomorrow. I had a scheduled time to pick up vehicle at 5:00 on ***- when arrived was given another excuse (wiring issues) and still could not take home. After given many stories about what was wrong with car I phoned saleman (***) and told I do not want the car because I could not get a direct answer as to what was wrong with it and when it would be ready for me to pick up. I have asked several times to refund my $*** deposit and have gotten a response "to call *** at the dealership". *** tried to call *** - no response.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $*** and a written cancellation to the *** that I do not have possession of car.

Edwards Chevrolet Cadillac is looking into this issue.

Paid for services on *** that were never completed.
Took my vehicle here for service, had a transfer case issue and opted also for an alignment and a rear differential flush. Had to take my vehicle back 3 months later to get the rear differential flush that wasn't performed. Now, only 4 months later for original service date, I have 2 bald front tires and am in desperate need of the alignment still. Took it in *** to address my needed alignment and they offered to do the alignment but nothing for my destroyed front tires. They kept my truck for 2 weeks to do nothing other than allow the soda in my truck to explode all over everything and plenty of mold growing on my seat from the soda. They didn't offer to do anything about that either.

Desired Outcome

An alignment and 2 new tires. An interior detailing would also be nice to rid the soda and mold.

Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response • Aug 08, 2018

Edwards Chevrolet Cadillac thanks Ms. for reaching out to us. Edwards Chevrolet would like to perform an alignment on Ms. vehicle if she purchases two new tires. Edwards Chevrolet would also be happy to clean the rear seat of her vehicle as we were unaware of the soda left in the vehicle.

Customer Response • Aug 08, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My tires are shot, they claim that I chose to get an alignment with shot tires. It took them 2 weeks to come to this conclusion. I would think that if I chose the service with my tires the way they are, it wouldn't take them 2 weeks to decide that. They should have been able to say that on day 1 of me bringing it to them for service. Im not sure why anybody would choose to do an alignment with destroyed tires or why a business would do an alignment on tires that were destroyed. They didn't do my rear differential flush and I cant imagine they did the alignment with my tires the way they are now. Offering to cover an already paid for service seems like an easy out while leaving *** in damages just lingering out there for the owner to clean up.

Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response • Aug 27, 2018

It was recommended that Ms. purchase two new tires on her first visit to Edwards Chevrolet Cadillac's service department. Edwards Chevy service still recommends Ms. purchase two new tires. Edwards Chevy service will do the alignment at no cost if Ms. purchases two new tires. Edwards Chevrolet would also be happy to clean the rear seat of her vehicle as we were unaware of the soda left in the vehicle.

Customer Response • Aug 28, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There was absolutely no conversation, at the initial time of service, that I needed 2 new tires. Why would a person do an alignment on shot tires? That doesn't even make sense. This is a copout excuse and nothing more than a smoke screen to cover the fact that services that were paid for were either not provided or completely botched. It took Edwards Chevrolet 2 weeks to concoct their little story about me choosing to get a service that would have been pointless at the time if my tires were in the condition that they claim. Horrid business practices backed by fairy tale stories. If I could afford a billboard, id advertise to never do business with Edwards Chevrolet. Theyre nothing more than some ***. Mail me a check refunding my paid for alignment service. I would never trust my vehicle in your hands again!

Leased car after being mislead about cars capability to meet our needs.
On *** we were looking around Edwards Chevrolet. Cadillac when we were approached by a salesman asking what we were looking for. I proceeded to tell him we were looking for a vehicle that my disabled wife could ride in comfortably and would support a 400lb. wheelchair and lift. The salesman proceeded to show us a ***. Seeing how low it sat in back we asked if it would support the wheelchair and lift. The salesman excused himself stating that he needed to talk to his boss. This is all after said salesman broke out the headlight hitting it trying to show us it was unbreakable. The salesman returned to his office telling us that the *** would support the wheelchair with no problems and also pull it as the engine was a 4 cylinder. Having made the salesman aware that we had only a certain amount we could pay each month and six hours later a deal was struck and papers signed. We had to have a hitch put on the vehicle and made arrangements to do so being told that the hitch would need to be ordered. The hitch was put on the vehicle on ***. On the morning of *** the lift and chair were put on the back of the vehicle proceeding to lift the front of the vehicle and drag on the ground making it impossible to transport the wheelchair. As the dealership was closed I contacted them on *** making them aware there was a problem. They tried to tell us that we had the wrong hitch put on and that there was a special kit that needed to used at another company. I took the vehicle into the company the dealership had mentioned and was informed that the proper hitch had been put on and that they wouldn't have done anything differently. We were also made aware that after the dealership had spoken us about said special kit they contacted the company they referred us to and had been told the same. The dealership then offered to replace the suspension. This was checked into and found not to be possible. They then proceeded to tell us they would take the vehicle back and put us into a *** double cab for the same monthly payments. Due to my work schedule I was unable to get in until *** they said that they would have all the paperwork done and waiting so that all I had to do was sign papers. Upon arrival nothing had been done stating that they couldn't put us in the *** unless we paid an additional $*** a month. We are unable to do this and was informed that they wouldn't take the *** back unless we paid then $***. as they would lose money. We are now stuck making payments on a vehicle sitting in our garage that was leased with the sole purpose of transporting my disabled wife and her wheelchair.

Desired Outcome

The exchange of the *** for the *** double cab *** for the same monthly payment $*** as promissed by the Edwards Cevolette mangement.

Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response • Jul 17, 2018

Edwards Chevrolet is so sorry Mr. is struggling with his new vehicle. Edwards Chevrolet has helped many customers in Mr. situation. It was suggested Mr. look at an *** or *** to accommodate the wheelchair and lift. He decided on the ***. He was further counseled to take the *** to *** in *** to get the right accessories for his lift. He did not do this and went to ***. After having complications with the accessories from ***, Edwards Chevrolet management further tried to assist Mr. by moving him into another vehicle. After a delay of several weeks Mr. brought the vehicle in. The vehicle had been severely smoked in with several hundred miles put on it and could not be resold as a new car. The option now is to trade the *** in to get Mr. into a *** but that can not be done at the same payment as the ***.

Customer Response • Jul 17, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
the response from Edwards Chevrolet is not completely accurate.I informed them of my intention of where I was going to have the hitch put on and there response was that was fine. When I told them about the problem that's when they told me of some kind of kit for the suspension from ***.I then went to *** and talked to the same person the management from Edwards talked to and he told me there was no such kit .I then asked what *** had installed was what they would have done and he said yes.Icalled around to several business to find a solution to this problem and they to said there was no kit for this model.I then contacted *** telling him of my results and he said they would have to take the car back and put us in the new *** and that *** the sales manager would have the paperwork ready for me when I came in.The reason why it took so long for us to discover the car would not support the wheelchair was because it had to be ordered. The car has not been heavily smoked in,it does have 248miles on it.When I brought the car back it went threw there inspection and they told me everything was perfect nobody said anything or asked about it smelling like smoke.*** said they were going to treat as a trade in and that is when he discovered he could not hold up to what they said they would do because they would lose out on $***.Then he told me only the only way of getting out of the lease would be to let it get repossess. This whole situation makes me very frustrated because if Edwards sales team did not miss lead us in this lease why would they offer us the different vehicle for the same lease payment on the phone with me but face to face decline??If they would have informed us with correct information this whole situation would not be happening.

Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response • Jul 25, 2018

The Chevrolet *** is rated to hold 615 lbs when properly equipped, for this we recommend ***. Mr. did not inform us of his intention to go to ***. Edwards Chevrolet did tell Mr. for two weeks that we could take the vehicle back prior to day 30. Unfortunately Mr. did not come in before owning it for 30 days, due to title work being issued, the mileage on the vehicle, and the vehicle being smoked in it can not be resold as new. The vehicle can only be traded in. Mr. was given several viable options on Pre-Owned vehicles which Mr. stated he was okay with but he was not okay with the payment. Edwards Chevrolet is happy to help Mr. trade into another vehicle.

The lied to *** to get him to put money down and then change the agreement they took to get signed .
I went into the dealer cause o spotted the truck and like it. Once going in I tried financing it in mine (***) & *** (*** girlfriends father's) names. *** didn't not have good enough credit to get approved so *** (*** wife) put her name on it in place of *** ause it was easier to get her approved. *** and *** live in *** and the salesman *** came to a agreement on the truck where *** said the $*** for plates, taxes, title, ect would be included, so *** made *** go put the $*** down before they would take the paperwork to *** & *** to have them sign it. They had *** cell phone number yet never called to mention they we changing the paperwork to not include the plates and taxes. They never told *** & *** that they were changing it and not including the stuff they had told *** to get him to put the money down. Salesman *** is the runner that took the paperwork to ***to have *** sign (which she was in the middle of a kid's school sports game.) *** and *** have had concerns that the aggrement wasn't what it was supposed to be and have been in the dealer 4 times in the 24 days *** has had it and the sales managers just lie each time and refuse to answer anything honestly or even fix their simple mistake.

Desired Outcome

I want them to change the agreement to what they told *** before he put the money down, $*** down, $*** would be included for sales tax, plates, title, and registration. The wheel and tire agreement was supposed to be dealer aftermarket wheels (not standard) the truck has all dealer installed upgrades with receipt.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The salesman lied just to get money down and instead of owning up to their mistakes, they have played games for 4 weeks on this now. They have made us feel like we were in the wrong. All we asked was that that was included in the loan like the original agreement. Apparently customer service and the value of their word means nothing to them. I have contacted attorney general's office and my attorney. I have had issues with the truck since I got it, they played games with me on giving me a loaner while the truck is worked on like the agreement stated. I have a *** as well as my concrete company that depends on this truck agreement. Now they expect me to pay $*** out of pocket for what should have been included like the salesman said to get the $*** down. They wouldn't let us out of the agreement so I could go elsewhere. *** the salesman should have told my cosigner's he had lied to me and wasn't including that $*** in the loan before they signed. They seen $*** in the agreement and thought that was for the plates and registration. It ended up being a extended warranty that *** and *** didn't know about or agree to. I recommend no one ever go to this dealer. Their bad reviews on *** are for a reason. I will be leaving mine in hopes to save others if this doesn't get resolved.

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understand why Edwards has the bad reviews they do and I will definitely not recommend anyone to go there in the future. That was not the agreement *** (I) made with *** when I was in the dealer that day. *** lied, *** the manager tried lieing about it. I have numerous phone calls recorded to prove just how sketchy they have been and trying to avoided fixing their mistake. It was simple, honor the original agreement. NO ONE AND I REPEAT NO ONE asked for the extended warranty, so for the dealer to take the $*** that was supposed to be for plates and sales tax, they then just made it $*** for a extended warranty no one asked for. That's where the problem is. The manager *** said he could cancel the extended warranty contract at any point yet couldn't remember write the paperwork without the warrant and include the sales tax. Even the lender was willing to have it settled and it's documented I called them within 5 days of buying the truck about the issue still at hand. It's $*** for taxes and that's not what I agreed to so I refuse to pay it. Lol if that's the case I would of just paid the ($*** extra they said I needed to) and that would have saved me $*** right there on taxes. Like I said anybody can look at this and tell I'm not the one lieing or trying to hide anything. The dealer didn't sign multiple spots on the paperwork including the installment agreement for financing, not to mention they made one of the service contracts expired and not valid. The paperwork was not done correct. I will give my honest opinion and recommendation all over social media when this is done because of this. I hope to save many many more people from getting ripped off by such a *** sales team the way I did. I might lose my whole entire business because of this. I stressed it time and time again how I wasn't looking to pay out of pocket for taxes cause in concrete we live off our winter money to make it till spring. I have already lost one $*** job because of this issue and the issues that the truck had and trying to get them to fix it.
Last time resolution, redo the contract excluding the warranty and including the sales tax. I have forwarded everything to my attorney.

On *** my *** was towed to Edwards Chevrolet for repair. At 1st they thought it was the alternator and battery and replaced both. When that didn't work they decided it was the computer. My car was then sent to *** in ***a. After they tried putting in a USED computer and it didn't work, the sevice techs at *** decided they should put in a new computer. $*** later it was apparently installed, programed, and sent back to Edwards Chevrolet. I was told I could pick it up and needed to go to the finance company- where my car loan is thru -- and sign papers for the cost of the repairs. I didn't get very far when my car died, the radio didn't work, and the turn signal didn't work. I took it back and they found something loose and fixed it. 2 weeks later they still had my car and after several attempts ro put a USED radio in decided that maybe they should put in a new radio. Edwards Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Response

The customers vehicle was towed from another shop when there was a no start issue with her vehicle. Once it arrived at Edwards Auto Group we then ran different diagnostics tests to determine that the problem was a computer issue. Due to the fact of the year and specialty equipment of the customers *** we had to send it to a *** dealer to have the vehicle re-programmed. While upon the discovery of the computer issue we offered the customer a courtesy loaner vehicle since the customer lives 90 miles away & we didn't want her to be inconvenienced. Once the repairs of the computer & re-programming were completed at the *** dealer we picked up the unit & brought it back to Edwards Auto Group. When the customer came in to pick up the vehicle there was a discovery of a notable radio issue. We communicated to the customer about resolving the radio issue & our assistance in the matter however, due to the year & specialty equipment the parts were hard to locate. Once we were able to pinpoint a radio for the vehicle, it was installed so the radio would work properly again. During the installation of the radio it was discovered that the display unit started to malfunction. We contacted the customer to discuss this issue & we ordered a display unit for the vehicle. During this time, the customer took her vehicle while we waited on the part to come in & out of inconvenience to the customer we filled her vehicle with a full tank of gas. Since then, the part has arrived and has been sent back to the *** dealer for the display unit to be put in. We understand the customer has been inconvenienced & we want to fill her vehicle up with gas again once the installation is completed.

Scam activity performed by the dealership and finance department regarding a contract that they have not honored.
Problem One: I had started by looking for a vehicle on the website. They immediately e-mailed and called my phone several times a day. I asked them to stop writing me that I would initiate contact when I was ready. They still hounded me with calls and e-mails until I agreed to come in. Problem Two: The day I bought my vehicle they had me there for 5 hours by the time loan signing came. I was in a hurry and had to leave. The finance person, ***, handed me a document and said "This is showing that we are not selling an additional warranty" so I signed it. When I looked through the docs later that night I noticed they added on Gap insurance for $ which I did not want, and this paper that was "not an additional warranty" was actually an anti-theft "service" for ***$ I did not want either of these things. They had not collected my down payment check yet. I e-mailed *** about the additional charges. I received an e-mail a few days later from the sales manager *** who asked me to call. I was never able to reach him. ***, the salesperson, called me a few days later to ask me to drop off the down payment check. I said I would when they removed these bogus charges from my loan documents. They had me come in the next day (***) to sign new loan documents and charge the down payment to my debit card. It is ***. My payment is due by ***. The finance company *** has claimed they never recevied updated loan documents. I have repeatedly called Edwards only to be transferred to unknown voicemails. I eventually left my name/number/ and reason for calling and am still waiting on a call back several hours later. I also e-mailed the manager ***, although this hasn't gotten me anywhere in the past. I also sent a message to the salesperson *** to ask him who to contact, to which he did not respond. At this point it feels like I was scammed into coming in and paying for a downpayment while they had no intention of honoring the new "loan document" that they had me sign and gave me a copy of. This means my loan is still at *** with the finance company instead of the *** it should be. And my payment is *** monthly instead of ***. Problem Three: They collected tax/title/license fees as an addition to the loan. I did trade in a vehcile. The plates were removed from the trade in and turned in to the DMV. When my temporary tags expired yesterday I still had not received my plates. The person at Edwards said she had to drive over to the DMV. Have the refund cancelled for the plates that I turned in, and paid *$ to have new plates issued because I was supposed to keep the old plates, which no one told me!! Why did they cancel my refund after tax, title, license fees were already collected and included in the loan?

Desired Outcome

I would like Edwards Cadillac to send the contract signed on *** to the financial company BEFORE my payment is due on ***. The contract that does not have GAP($***) or THEFT($***) charge on it.

Customer Response

This issue has been resolved and the finance company has updated it's records to reflect the change. This case can be closed.

Loaner vehicle sustained small window chip when in my use. Getting calls over two months later for an over $*** dollar repair.
In late *** I took my car in to get a bumper repaired. I used a loaner vehicle. The loaner vehicle obtained a small chip, less than a quarter size, when in my presence. I was upfront about the issue when I turned the vehicle back in.

I dropped off the loaner vehicle on ***. On *** I received a call stating the whole window would need replaced for a cost of over $*** dollars. If the vehicle was in need of such a large repair I am confused as to why it didn't happen sooner. They were short of loaner vehicles when I picked up the car and it does not make sense that they would take two months to go about fixing a scarce resource. Additionally the call came less than a week after a large hailstorm went through the area. The whole process seems sketchy and bordering on insurance fraud.

Desired Outcome

I will gladly pay for a window chip repair at market rates. Any damage past that was most likely done or exacerbated after the vehicle left my possession.
