Over the course of 2 years and after interviewing 7 contractors, we consider ourselves lucky to have found Elliot E[redacted] of Edwards Concrete & Excavation. Elliot and his crew took down our leaking concrete reinforced deck with a frost heaved walk in basement room below that was added onto the house in the 1970's. First they shored up the gable end of our 1741 colonial and replaced the rotten sill/beam where the deck met the house. Then they poured footings, walls and a floor (nice floor), perimeter drains, driveway, built a deck, new septic tank and leach field, graded the yard for proper drainage, moved and replanted shrubs, seeded the yard and covered it with straw. Elliot and his crew worked hard to do all this in 3 weeks and without any subcontractors. Whenever he found a problem he had a solution. We later learned Elliot has been doing this kind of work and has been in this business since he was a boy with his father. He has also built houses and roads. "I did it once before", he would say in an understatement. We love the view from our new deck and the room below it that looks out onto the river. Elliot's goal is for the customer to be happy. Our expectations were exceeded and came at a fair and reasonable price. We highly recommend Edwards Concrete & Excavation.
