Complaint[redacted] Practices and ProceduresI am in receipt of an invoice for xrays and a debridement. I became a new patient of your organization due to restrictions on what dentists I could use on my Aetna plan, Prior to attending my appointment you had my insurance information and as such, I would expect that you would know what procedures are covered. I am shocked to receive any invoices from your organization as I did not authorize any treatment outside of what was covered by my plan,I contacted your business and spoke to Dr [redacted] XXX-XXX-XXXX. I explained I had never been to a dental practice who did not inquire if I had recent xrays, Any professional dentist has always asked that question and have asked me to have my prior dentist forward the xrays. They were not looking out for the best interest of their patient whatsoever and as such proceeded doing xrays without giving it a second thought. I refuse to pay this unnecessary expense because of my experience with your office.The dentist that did my exam, I don't remember his name, but he looked to be of retirement age. Said everything looked great, I?ve never heard that from a dentist as I?ve battled gum disease my entire life. My instincts should have put me on guard at that instant that this was truly not a professional place.I was then told to make another appointment for my cleaning. I said THATS what I came here for and they replied well we don?t do it in one office visit, you have to come back to get your cleaning...which I did. I waited 40 minutes in the waiting room to only be turned away because they could not get the computer to work and therefore could not pull up the xrays that were done in order to do the cleaning. WHAT All xrays I?ve seen were always printed for the file. Not for one minute would I think this office was state of the art, ahead of others. During this 40 minute wait time I observed staff arriving after 8am, Do they know that we, ourselves, have a job to get to and they show up late putting us that much later arriving at our own job. Well, as mentioned had to come back and make another appointment. SECOND sign that I should not be going to this health center,I make the next appointment for the cleaning. She did a 20 minute quick clean, I didn't endure the scrapping and pain that normally encounter which was good, but it was just that the hygienist gave up and said I?d have to come back for a deeper cleaning. She said that she?d bill it as a (&(%%$? so that a future **^&$ *would be covered? No idea what term she used, but again assumed it was in my best interest. Then I get a bill for a Full Mouth Debridement. Trust me, no debridement was done. I?m told that is a more comprehensive cleaning. What Ms Sobosik did, in fact, was a very quick cleaning.When I spoke to Dr Jenna, he said, ?oh no, it was a debridement because it was well documented what was done? well HELLO, wouldn't you have to document falsely if you were falsely billing it as a whatever she said.My original intent was to pay for the xrays (only because it was my fault not to think to tell them I had xrays within a year ? what Dr [redacted] told me it is the patients responsibility to tell them if we had xrays...Not sure why they wouldn't ask if they truly were professionals) if they corrected this debridement fraud. Seeing how Dr [redacted] told me he would not do anything about the fraudulent billing, I have no choice than to avoid paying anything to this I have never seen such an unprofessional establishment and I refuse to pay [redacted] I think with the time I took out of work to come to 3 appointments when it all should?ve been done in 1 appointment, waiting while your computers weren?t working and lack of professionalism, I think we?re even.I will certainly let [redacted] know about the anguish they are causing their insureds when we pay for insurance but are forced to go to dental offices that lack care of clients and their best interest and organizations that lack professionalism. This certainly isn?t the American way. I am responsible enough to work a full time job to try and provide for my family. I believe I make good choices when choosing my health care from [redacted] and it isn't free, only to be turned on to a cluster of an office such as [redacted] M [redacted] Community Health Center (noticed they left out the word Care...good thing because that would be false advertisement)[redacted]Desired SettlementAdjust my bill to $0.00Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]After careful consideration, we have made the decision to eliminate complainant's responsibility for the dates of service in question.
