EEG Institute Reviews (3)

The EEG Institute has done a wonderful job of responsibly teaching and guiding new and seasoned neurofeedback providers for many years They continue to lead in resources, papers, and in offering relevant courses

I'm very disappointed in the customer service with this organizationSupport is non existent for post trainees unless one pays high fees to meet with the owners/trainersThis is not only irresponsible but can also be dangerousThere should be a minimum of one year free consultation post trainingIn addition, the reception staff are sarcastic, demeaning and unhelpful

Went to a week long training hereThey boast the benefits of infra low frequency approachYou are immediately bombarded with slick marketing campaign designed to get you to purchase their equipment; this is also interspersed with Powerpoint presentations mostly showing the efficacy of NF using EEG's own researchI did appreciate the "hands on" use of the equipment, but I have to say that one of their protocols left me feeling uneasy that nightThe next morning I complained that the exercise made me queasy and I was told that it would pass; however, I was feeling very uncomfortable and I had to insist they help me sooner rather than laterUltimately, with enough complaining they did manage to find time to help me out
What I learned was that NF is not something to fool with and cannot be adequately learned in one weekNF protocols are designed with a "one size fits all" mentality, but I personally learned the fallacy of thisOne week is not enough to produce competent practitioners, yet EEG is more than happy to sell you expensive equipment and send you on your way to practice in your communityIf you find your self feeling inadequately prepared after purchasing the equipment, follow up assistance or mentorship is very expensiveThis is likely the same with any NF company, but what also concerns me is that they will also provide their equipment to anyone in the community willing to rent or buyThe other issue I have is that the clinical director is a scientist and was not educated as a clinicianA more subjective complaint is the cliquishness of the placeBy that I mean they only seem interested in you so long as you express interest in purchasing their equipment and they don't seem to appreciate critical questionsI recall of the or so people who attended, most were ready to purchase the equipment after the first day or two
Important lesson NF efficacy is dependent upon the competency and experience of the practitioner and whatever limitations are inherent in the machinesA prospective client should stay far away from a new user unless they are overseen by someone with a lot of experienceTo be fair I have not trained with other companies so this experience might be industry standardits unethic and nerufeeback is dangerous
