April 3, 2014[redacted],Let it be known that this complainant is not and has not been an active customer of E.F. Laudenslager, Inc. but a potential customer making inquiries. These inquiries were made over a period of time (weeks ). Exact dates are not known.Let it be known...

that he informed our office staff, during his inquiry phase, that he did have propane, to heat his home, by using 5 - ,5 gallons each, barbeque tanks. At no time did we deny him propane to heat his home because he is not a registered customer. If the complainant was not satisfied, there are multiple propane providers within a 10 - mile radius of the complainants location. [redacted] being less than 5 - miles.Let it be known that all potential propane customers must agree to a credit check. We require a credit check because we give all propane customers 30 - days to pay their propane bill. All potential customers have the right to refuse the credit check which results in us knowing their credit information. We use [redacted] Credit Reporting Service. We do not provide this information to anyone including the Revdex.com. However, it is advised that the Revdex.com research the complainants credit report to investigate the importance of what we saw.Visit # 1, the prices alleged do not match propane per gallon anytime this year. $ 325.00 for 289.9 gallons of propane would equate to $ 1.14 per gallon. I can assure you that we could not buy propane at that price.Visit # 2, the prices alleged do not match propane per gallon anytime this year. $ 400.00 for $ 289.9 gallons of propane would equate to $ 1.40 per gallon. Again, not even close to our purchase price.Alleged option to reduce tank size would be for a leased tank. This option is not available to customer owned tanks.$ 467.90_- $99.00 Tank Installation$ 368.99-$ 57.00 Tank Lease$ 311.90 = 96 gallons at $ 3.24.9 per gallonTank Lease option would not be considered. Instead the potential customer would have been given the option to purchase a lesser amount of propane that was within budget.Coupon # 1: March issue of [redacted] Magazine. I have enclosed a copy of the full add the complainant is referring to. This add clearly states a New Heating System Installed by E.F. Laudenslager. Inc. The $ 250.00 coupon is for Any Complete Heating System Installation. The add does not refer to propane or propane tanks.Coupon # 2: April issue of the [redacted] Magazine. I have enclosed a copy of the full add that just came out. This add and its coupons refer directly to propane and tanks.Propane Cost Increases: I have enclosed a copy of NPGA ( National Propane Gas Association ) Reports dated January 30, 2014. This article addresses the serious concerns of propane supply. Attached is a letter written by governors, congressmen and senators to President Obama urging him to take action on the supply issues we faced this winter. The short supply and high demand of propane quickly rocketed upward the price of propane. The complainant was inquiring about propane at a time of quickly rising prices and serious shortages. This was out of our control and I urge you to read the letter to President Obama. There are prices of propane listed so you don’t need to take my word for it.Thank you for you consideration in this matter.

Review: this is my first winter after purchasing a trailer to live in [redacted] PA, I am new to the area. I needed to get propane to heat my trailer for the winter and neighbors recomended that I seek it from this company. I made a visit in to talk with someone personally to get a ball park estimate on getting my tanks filled. The woman who worked behind the counter gave me a quote of $325.00 for 284.9 gallons. I thanked her for the information and told her I would be back in a few weeks to purchase the gas. On my second trip to the office which was approximately 2 weeks later. I was told that the cost of gas prices had increased and that it would now cost me $400.00 . since I was not prepared for such a quick jump in price on my second trip. I decided that it may benefit me to get my large tank changed to a smaller one that I could afford when it was time to fill. So I asked them..how much would they charge me to replace my larger already existing tank with a new smaller tank. They told me it would be a total of $467.90 which included 50 gallons of gas. I was able to do business with then that day. But I really needed to get gas to heat my home and as I said before..I am new to the area and relied on the locals on recomending a place I could do business to get my heat for the winter. I felt lucky going through a local paper and found a coupon that states $250.00 off any complete installation. So I went back to the company to get the installation of the new tank and the 50 gallons of propane to heat my home. Upon arrival...I was again rejected to do business with them. They told me that I could not use that coupon for a propane tank replacement installation. I was very dissapointed and asked why could I not use the coupon. The woman behind the counter again did not go into details. But, said that coupon could not be used on the installation that I was looking to be done. I was confused...I made 3 trips to the business and still I have not gas and am extremely dissatisfied with the way they do business. The coupon does not exclude any installation and it does not have any restrictions. I am still without heat for my home. This situation is very distressing. I thought I could do business with a company that has been in operation for 120 years. I am at a loss as to why they wouldn't inform me better as to their products and prices at intial time of my visit. I have wasted time and money looking into getting heat for my home and it has been a very discouraging and distressing situation for me to experience. I am hoping that this letter would better inform them on how they are doing business now is not friendly or efficient.Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to have the tank installed for the price quoted to me with the 50 gallons of gas and I would like for them to honor THEIR coupon that shows no restrictions on it so my home can get heat.
