Review: In November 2013, I contracted and paid this company $10,434.13 to fix my broken water main pipe in my basement at [redacted]. The company did not fix the pipe. I was told that they did work on a sewer pipe instead for unclear reasons. I have discussed this with the [redacted] on multiple occasions. He stated that he would make it right and send someone out to see what could be done. It has been 9 months and he has not sent someone. The water main is still leaking and is in [redacted] of causing a major catastrophy.Desired Settlement: If this company cannot do the work that they were paid for I demand a refund.

The client called our office in regard to a leaking pipe in the basement. We hired a subsurface contractor to repair the leaking pipe. The client never showed up at the job site and scheduling needed to be coordinated with his tenant who was very difficult to coordinate with because she worked full time.

The subsurface crew showed up at the job site and found a leaking sewer line coming from the basement. The sewer line was repaired. Weeks later the client called and said that the wrong pipe was repaired.

We have hired a subsurface crew to replace the water main for the building and have had issues with access again. On 10/**/14 The client was notified that he would need to reserve the parking space in front of the building in order for the work to be done. He confirmed the space would be reserved but when the subsurface crew arrived the space was not reserved and the job could not be done. We were charged $2,250.00 for the canceled job. The client has been unwilling to reserve the parking in front of the building that needs to be reserved in order to open the street and install the new water main.

I originally met with someone from Effective Plumbing and clearly pointed out which pipe was leaking. It was clearly the main water supply pipe from the street leading into the house. I had a contract to repair that pipe. I was never informed of a leaking sewer pipe and I never signed a contract or gave permission to fix any other pipe. I am not able to secure street parking on a public street. I do have a new contract to fix the water main pipe with this company. As of today the pipe has not been fixed. I feel that I should still be reimbursed by this company doing work on a pipe that I was not informed that was broken. The money that I originally paid Effective was to fix th water main. This company is charging me additional money now to do the work that they were already paid to do.

The water main has been replaced as of 11/**/14. the customer agreed to pay 2/3 of the bill and effective Plumbing Corp payed 1/3.
