Efficiency Heating & Cooling

I have spoken with a reputable furnace repair person He said that if Efficiency is willing to come out, at no charge, to review the repairs that they did, I should have them do so as the part they installed may be faulty.At this time, the fan comes on every once in awhile, stays on for under minute and shuts off again *** *** ***

[redacted] first contacted Efficiency Heating & Cooling July 22, 2016 @ 2:32pm. The call was "$99 diagnostic, gas furnace is running and won’t shut off, blowing cold air". Doug, our Senior Service Tech, found a 1974 Lennox furnace(42 years old) located in the basement...

and found the following and quoted a flat rate for repair and highly recommended replacement:
"Found Lennox gas furnace with a sticking 7.5-8" fan/limit control. System is in need of maintenance, needs 3L380 belt, and 16x25x1 filter. Thermostat on wall is in very poor shape. Furnace is very old and in very poor shape. Recommend estimate for replacement.Quotes: New 8" fan limit control installed = $312.94New digital basic thermostat installed $159.00Precision heating tune up. =$149.00New belt installed at time of tune up $38.00Total = $658.94"
[redacted] contacted Efficiency Heating & Cooling and scheduled a repair call for December 22, 2016. Doug, our Senior Tech, arrived at [redacted]’s residences @ 8:07am and performed the following and again suggested replacement:
"Replaced bad 8" fan/limit control, replaced worn fan belt, installed new basic digital thermostat, and performed precision heating tune up on Lennox gas furnace. Furnace is very old and in poor shape. Should be considered for replacement."
[redacted] contacted Efficiency Heating & Cooling answering service January 12, 2017 because her furnace was not coming on. Giesele, CSR & Dispatcher, had a conversation with [redacted] and these were her notes:
"Spoke with [redacted] 1/20/17 and she wanted us to come out for free to diagnose her furnace issue.  She spent $658.94 prior and the furnace is working however she thinks the motor is going out.  I told her she would have to pay $99.00 for another return trip, Her response I will take it up with someone else.  I offered her a free estimate as well with Jason. She was not to happy./GS"
[redacted]’s complaint that we installed a motor. Efficiency Heating & Cooling never installed a motor. Doug installed a 8” fan limit control, a thermostat, a belt, and performed a tune up. We at Efficiency Heating & Cooling honor our repairs and replacement parts. If it was indeed the workmanship or replacement parts we would have been more than accommodating to return to [redacted]’s residence. However, if it is not our workmanship or replacement part and is something else like a motor going out we must then let the customer know that there is a $99 Diagnostic/Return Trip fee to address any other issues. Giesele let [redacted] know that so that the customer is not surprised. We at Efficiency Heating & Cooling feel that we have address the issue with [redacted] several times that her system is old and in poor shape. Efficiency Heating & Cooling would be more than willing to schedule an appointment with [redacted] to address any of our services we performed if she would allow us to.
 
We can not agree to further free parts and labor. We will agree to return for free to assess the service we provided and parts we have replaced.
