Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] I would like to keep this complaint open until the matter of interest has been fully resolved due to the prior ineptitude of EG Tax

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. I was not informed that a tax return was not necessary until I went in to have the tax return prepared It was at that time I was informed for the very first time that a return wasn't required I ended the appointment without having the return prepared and obviously didn't "insist" on having one prepared Prior to that, I was NEVER informed that a return was unnecessary and NEVER in insisted on one I was told when making these yearly appointments, that my tax advisor was specialized in estates This advisor, *** *** was not the only preparer at EG Tax that prepared my returns me over the yearsIn the many months that I attempted to work with EG Tax before filing this complaint, I was also given the explanation that I "insisted" on the return because my deceased sister owned a condo This is simply not true as I NEVER stated that They also used the example that some senior citizens insist on returns I found that kind of insulting at the time I did explain to the tax advisor at my yearly appointments that the estate/trust was still OPEN because we were unable to sell a one week "time share" Other than that, nothing changed in this estate/trust in each of the tax years in question I run a small business and file various required returns such as corporate, sales, highway, occupancy taxes and depend on professionals such as accountants and attorneys for their accurate advice As well, I relied on the accurate tax advice of EG Tax for my deceased sister's estate/trust and didn't receive it Not once, but on several occasions I do not accept their response to my complaint as it is not true This does not resolve this matter and I remain insistent that I receive a refund for the tax years a return was filed by EG Tax for both the estate and trust EG Tax repeatedly gave me incorrect tax advice and charged me for it!What makes more (common) sense here:EG Tax contends that I insisted (repeatedly?) on filing a return.OR That when I was finally given the correct tax information that a return was NOT necessary, I left the appointment without filing Of course I was upset that I was given inaccurate tax advice (repeatedly) I then attempted over a six month period to patiently and courteously work with EG Tax to refund my payments for tax returns to no avail, thus forcing me to file this complaint with the Revdex.com

Ms*** was charged based on the forms she filed, and even though they were the same forms that her previous tax firm used, our prices are higher than that firmOur commercials state that we are 50% less than the national firms (*** *** *** *** *** *** ***) not
local tax firms or as she states other firmsOur commercials are not or misleading, she heard what she wanted. Our clients who were with us for plus years are also still paying a very low fee because years ago the prices were just as low as what she had paid her prior person, and we do not increase their fee more than $every few years. We do feel sorry that she believes she paid too much for our service but we never misled her in any fashion

We recently received a letter from your office regarding one of our clients, Mr. [redacted], who wrote to your office because he was concerned with a recent experience thathe encountered at one of our locations. I read your entire letter, and after doing so Icontacted the Supervisor of our Florida...

office and the staff member at that Florida officewho assisted Mr. [redacted], so that I could be apprised of all of the particularssurrounding the matter, as it relates to Mr. [redacted].The client, M:r. [redacted], asked our office to prepare his 2009, 2010,2011, 2012,2013, and 2014 personal income tax returns. !Vlr. [redacted] needed all of these years returnsprepared because he was behind in filing his returns and the Internal Revenue Servicewas putting a great deal of pressure on Mr. [redacted] to prepare these returns. [redacted] M., t1eco-supervisor of the Florida EG Tax Location started with Mr. [redacted] 2009 return, and hesupplied the majority of the documents that she needed in order to prepare the return.Mr. [redacted] asked [redacted] M. to give him a draft of his 2009 return, and then he approached[redacted] a few days later with several revisions to the 2009 return. [redacted] M. made thechanges and provided Mr. [redacted] with a complete 2009 return to mail in and send to theInternal Revenue Service. It is important to understand that Mr. [redacted] paid our office $400 and we finished andcompleted his 2009 return. Mr. [redacted] than provided a great deal of information to [redacted]M. in regards to the preparation of his 2010,2011, 2012,2013 and 14 return. [redacted] M.had the majority of Mr. [redacted] 2010 retum finished; however, she was feeling uneasyregarding some of the details surrounding his 2010 return preparation. Therefore, [redacted]M. asked Mr. [redacted] to come in and meet with her and her supervisor; a time was set andestablished for the meeting, however, Mr. [redacted] did not make the meeting. [redacted] M.reached out to the client again but he did not return her call until much later, In themeantime after spending at least 35-55 hours on his material, [redacted] M.'s supervisoropted that [redacted] M.not complete the preparation of Mr. [redacted] 2010,2011, 2012,2013,and 14 returns because of the increasing amount of discrepancies in the material that Mr,[redacted] was providing to our office.

Re: [redacted] had an appointment in our NT office originally ·with a preparer she normally sees. Due to him assisting an elderly couple, he asked another person to take over with [redacted]'s taxes: The person taking over was overly cautious on the questions of dependency...

and made [redacted] feel like she was being called a liar. This preparer has been reprimanded for that and was asked to learn to ask better questions and to be careful on the responses she gives. Once [redacted] gave me the information, I offered her another location to help her since she has been a client of ours for a while and she should not have been made to feel the way she did. I believed that the office closer to her home would be a better fit for her, and offered her 50% off her prep fees. I was unaware of the situation that they did not schedule her appointment correctly and that they suggested that she drop off her information. Normally that is not an issue but they should have verified everything with her before handing her the paperwork back the next day. This would have stopped any problems for occurring further. Due to not reviewing the direct deposit information, that was imputed incorrectly, [redacted]'s refund would then be mailed to her home usually within two weeks of the bank sending the refund back to the IRS. [redacted] did not have to contact any department to find out where the refunds were. According to the IRS and NYS she received her refunds in less than 30 days from filing her returns. I do apologize that this was an inconvenience to her and she had to wait an extra week from the time she was expecting the direct deposit I have sent an apology to [redacted], herself, reviewed the teaching of customer service with the preparers and have had them call her to apologize.Maria RDistrict managerEG Tax Service

[redacted]Case [redacted]As of today, 5/28/2015, we have sent a certified copy of the amended returns to [redacted]so that she just had to sign them and get those to the IRS and NYS. We also sent her theprep fees that she paid. And once she receives any penalties or interest, she is to get thatto us so that we can take care of that issue for her as well.I do believe this is the only thing left that we are waiting for is the interest.

After considerable research and talking to the preparer([redacted]) for those tax returns in question, Mrs. [redacted] was informed at the time of preparation that no return was necessary but she wanted one prepared anyways.  We at EG Tax would never prepare a return with out the...

clients approval first.
