substandard work to her.  She asked us to provide some information in which we did and we spent countless of hours meeting with her and her husband.  What she wanted was a lawyer and we are not a lawyer. On our last meeting I gave her all the information we were able to gain.  She is upset because the defendant of her case hired us to serve her with a check and a letter to dismiss her claim.  This was the day she started to harass EGA Process Serving.
EGA Process Serving does not issue refunds no matter what the reason may be. This is our policy.   We have never signed a contract with this person nor was there anything in writing telling EGA what they wanted.  With this information I expect you find things in favor of EGA Process Serving.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response.  Please find my line-by-line rebuttal below.
MY Line-By-Line REBUTTAL(Since EGA's response to my complaint was fraught with erroneous declarations, I thought it best to refute their correspondence line-by-line for the sake of clarity.)
1. "EGA Process Serving met every obligation to the person who is alleging we failed to meet her requirements."
This statement is false. If EGA had "met every obligation", then I wouldn't have asked for a refund and filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.
To date, I have received none of the desired nationwide background information. After Mr. P[redacted] assured me that he could not only complete but also correct the detailed, almost four-page outlines ("outlines") for each individual as requested, I paid him $500 ($250 each). On March 31, 2014, Mr. P[redacted] sent me an e-mail with an attachment as proof that he had done one search on one individual. This search yielded no results because the person who input the data did so wrongly.
2. "I would like for you all to ask her where is the contract for the work to be done and guidelines of the work"
At best my e-mailed outlines and his e-mailed acceptance of payment, ten days after getting these outlines, constitutes a written agreement. At worst, Mr. Robert P[redacted] of EGA and I have an oral contract. After much discussion, Mr. P[redacted] offered to complete and correct each outline for a consideration of $500. I accepted his terms and paid him the one-time fee of $500 ($250 for each individual).
On November 9, 2013 at 12:01pm, I e-mailed outlines containing all the information I had found on each individual to Mr. P[redacted] and requested that he complete these outlines. On November 19, 2013, Mr. P[redacted] assured me that he would not only complete said outlines but correct any misinformation contained therein for a total payment of $500 ($250 for each individual). Mr. P[redacted] stated that he needed the entire payment up front before he could access the necessary forums which contained said information. After these assurances, I completed my part of our oral contract at 6:20pm on November 19, 2013.
Even though there was no document that was signed by all interested parties, I believe that Mr. P[redacted] and I have a contract. Unfortunately, Mr. P[redacted], a former marine, did not honor his commitments.
3. "In no shape or form did EGA Process Serving ever provide substandard work to her."
This statement is false. Other than the e-mail attachment which resulted from an inaccurate input of information, Mr. P[redacted] has promised, but not provided, any of the information for which he was paid. Since he is now claiming that one bad search for $500 is not sub-standard, potential consumers need to be warned prior to contacting EGA.
4. "She asked us to provide some information in which we did and we spent countless of hours meeting with her and her husband."
This statement is false. It was Mr. P[redacted]'s choice to charge me a flat, one-time fee of $250 for each individual, and not to charge me by the hour.
Even though Mr. P[redacted] promised to fulfill his portion of our contract countless times, no one from EGA has given me the requested information for which I paid $500.
5. "What she wanted was a lawyer and we are not a lawyer."
This statement is false. When I wanted to talk to an attorney, I called an attorney. When I told Mr. P[redacted] that I had a scheduled meeting with an attorney, he told me to cancel the appointment because "that's included in the price". Even though Mr. P[redacted] is not an attorney, he took it upon himself to give me unsolicited legal advice. When I wanted desired nationwide background information on two individuals, I called Mr. P[redacted].
6. "On our last meeting I gave her all the information we were able to gain."
This statement is false. Mr. P[redacted] and I met twice. The first meeting's agenda was contract clarification and pre-work payment. Prior to our second, and last, meeting, Mr. P[redacted] promised to give me the requested information but gave me nothing but more unsolicited legal advice.
Here Mr. P[redacted] claims to have given me all the information at this meeting. If that were true, then why did he continue to promise to give me said information?
7. "She is upset because the defendant of her case hired us to serve her with a check and a letter to dismiss her claim."
Since [redacted] defines "conflict of interest" as "a conflict between the private interests and the official responsibilities of a person in a position of trust", I firmly believe that Mr. P[redacted] took advantage of the information that I gave him to complete his end of our contract. Since e-mails from Mr. P[redacted] included a "confidentiality notice" and he feigned concern for me as a client, I didn't hesitate in giving him as much information as I could to facilitate his completion and correction of my outlines. Unfortunately, Mr. P[redacted] seems to have contracted and accepted payment for services he was impotent to provide.
On May 21, 2014, I asked Mr. P[redacted] for a refund via e-mail. Thirteen days later he tells me that he is also employed by one of the very individuals on whom I had requested desired nationwide background information.
By the way, on June 3, 2014, while Mr. P[redacted] was employed by said individual, he again promised to complete and correct the outlines and get them to me within a specified time. Again, I received nothing: no desired nationwide background information and no money.
8. "This was the day she started to harass EGA Process Serving."
To this fallacy, I have three points:
a. Requesting a refund for services not rendered is not a form of harassment. By the way, I first asked for a refund thirteen days before I found out Mr. P[redacted] worked for one of the individuals he was paid to research.
b. Truthfully reviewing a company is not a form of harassment.
c. I have requested a refund from EGA twice: via Mr. P[redacted]'s e-mail and through Revdex.com.org.
9. "EGA Process Serving does not issue refunds no matter what the reason may be."
Prior to this response to Revdex.com.org, Mr. P[redacted] never informed me of any company policies. If he had told me "no refunds" or "all sales are final", I would not have given him my $500.
10. "This is our policy."Based on EGA's previous and current websites [redacted], this statement is false.
11. "We have never signed a contract with this person nor was there anything in writing telling EGA what they wanted."
This statement is false. When we previously hired Robert P[redacted] of EGA Process Serving, no contracts were signed. Since those two experiences were professional and he's a former marine, I thought Mr. P[redacted] to be honorable. So when Mr. P[redacted] told us he needed the full fee before he could to do the research, I believed this experience would be like the others. I was so wrong.
As far as "nor was there anything in writing telling EGA what they wanted", on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 12:01pm and on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 5:27pm, I e-mailed outlines (each about as long as this response) to Mr. P[redacted], delineating the desired nationwide background information. I know Mr. P[redacted] received each of these e-mails because we discussed them thoroughly prior to paying him $500 ($250 per person).
12. "With this information I expect you find things in favor of EGA Process Serving."
EGA's ridiculous response to my complaint is filled with deceitful declarations. With this rebuttal to EGA's fallacies, I respectfully request that you will hold EGA accountable for Mr. Robert P[redacted]'s actions and require a refund of $500 in a timely fashion.
Regards,
[redacted]
