I looked at the pictures that *** sent inTheir is nothing wrong with the job and nothing can be doneThe only flaw is when we sawcut the existing driveway the cut went 3" too farThat's human error but nothing can be done for thatIf their was something to fix we would be over their fixing it

Her driveway was damaged on the edge by somebody elseWe came and sawcut the old driveway and fixed the edge of the driveway with 2" of new asphaltThe customer thought that it would look exactly like her old driveway and you would see no seamI have been doing this a long time and it is
impossible to take old asphalt and put it next to new asphalt and make it look the sameThis was a repair that was done correctlyThe customer just does not understand this type of work and is pretty much demanding something that is not possibleThat's why I told her I would not come backIf their was an actual problem or if their was something wrong with the job I would have no problem fixing itTheir is just nothing to fix

In his response to my complaint, MrEgan failed to address the issue of the gash Egan Paving generated on the existing driveway while making the repair to the damaged section and the hole left on the "repaired" part MrEgan failed to acknowledge this issue both when I talked to him on the telephone and in my written complaint to the Revdex.com As I stated in the written complaint, "In making the repair, Egan Codamaged the existing driveway with a gash measuring approximately two inches deepAdditionally they left a hole in the new pavement which should have been filledIf not filled in before winter, I am concerned this could destroy this portion of the driveway." MrEgan claims in his response to you that, " there is just nothing to fix." There is no way that he can know this without physically inspecting the driveway which he has refused to do As for the long ugly patch, MrEgan claims, "it is impossible to take old asphalt and put it next to new asphalt and make it look the same." Egan Paving put in the existing driveway less than a year before and MrEgan is aware that hardly any discoloration or fading occurred with his original workFurthermore, there are small sections of the new application that blend in with the existing driveway, proving that it is indeed possible to apply the new asphalt in a manner that integrates both old and new sections without leaving an unsightly patch If I were to hire a tailor to mend a hole I tore in my coat or a body shop to repair a dent in my car's fender, neither workman would slap an unsightly patch and call the job done. For the $I paid Egan Paving for the repair, I expected quality workmanship We are requesting again that MrEgan return and finish the job properlyIf MrEgan feels he cannot complete the job properly, I would be satisfied with a refund

Response taken over the phone from Tim EganThere was a void in between the footings and the step This needs to be filled with concrete or the job will not look professional We explained this to the consumer at the time and we thought he understood this The job was done
properly and if this is filled with black top it will look really bad (like a patch job)
