EGB Systems & Solutions, Inc. Reviews (2)

Review: in 2009, I contracted egb systems to help design & develop a web site, which they were paid over $23,000 US dollars for. To date, the have stopped all communications, and have yet to deliver what their contract promised. The site was supposed to be completed within 6-8 months. It is now, 2013 and this company is a fraud. I have all the documentation in the world to back up my claims. They changed managers 3 times in the beginning because they were over their head on what they promised. They even broke our contract agreement on divulging this project to other people.

Product_Or_Service: web site & development

Desired Settlement: This company needs to either deliever what was promised or a full refund of the $23,000 US dollars which was paid to them to develop my website

We (EGB Systems and Solutions, Inc) have provided web services (website design and development) we have completed the project as per the requirement and delivered to the client. [redacted] has to pay the open invoices set by EGB. We have contacted the collection agency to collect the open invoices from [redacted].

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

EGB systems did NOT complete a website for me. They never delivered a working product.

The contracted amount to complete the website was $23,000, which was paid in full.

EGB systems failed to meet EVERY deadline, which they made and they failed to have the (in house) ability to do what the contract requested.

There is no outstanding amount due to EGB systems. Up until this complaint, they have ignored all attempts at resolving this matter.

I find it hysterical that they are stating that there is a balance due.

EGB systems is a fraud of a company and they should not be allowed to continue to do business in the United States.

They could not even create a website here and had to sub out the work to laborers in India.

What a joke.

[redacted] was where the website would have been placed but as you can see it does not exist not did it ever launch due to the incompetence of EGB & their so called staff.

They also breached privacy disclosure agreements and they kept changing project managers because of it.

FRAUDULENT BUSINESS.

We (EGB Systems and Solutions, Inc) have provided web services (website design and development) we have completed the project as per the requirement and delivered to the client. Client has to pay the open invoices set by EGB. We have contacted the collection agency to collect the open invoices from him.

Client has requested many changes out of the original (initial) requirement. We also worked on the same, we informed and sent emails to client for the addition hours and cost for the addition requirement.

We can work for him once he makes the open invoices.

Still we did not get any comments from customer.

Review: We had contracted with EGB Systems & Solutions, Inc. to apply our design and develop custom functionality for a [redacted] website. After a series of delays, lack of timely communication, and after being 8 weeks past the agreed upon deadline they held the final product hostage and did not release the final files and database for us to evaluate beyond the previews they gave us access to until we made the final payment. Upon receiving the final files and database for this project, we discovered that we are unable to use the system to perform basic page updates and none of the functionality we had requested be developed worked. We had tried to reach out to them to fix what appeared to be bugs in the system, only to not hear back from them for days at a time, where they would stonewall the fixes into further delays. We finally contracted with another developer who not only evaluated their work and determined it to be completely useless, but was also unable to salvage any of the work they performed and was forced to overhaul the entire development from the ground up which he completed in 2-3 weeks - what initially they proposed would take 2 months to complete - and for a fraction of what they charged.

Product_Or_Service: Initial payment Nov 21, 2012

Desired Settlement: We have already initiated a dispute for the final payment we made through American Express, but wish to be refunded the first two payments that were sent since we did not receive the product that we had agreed upon.

[redacted] (Client) contacted EGB Systems and Solutions, inc through EGB Support email requesting for the web development project by integrating the web team thru an open source software [redacted].

Client had provided the design files and EGB did the Development work. Based on the design files EGB provided the cost estimated for the development work $6645

After the discussion, client had come up with limited budget for this project and requested to revise the quote. Even though its far less just to get the client, EGB revised the price and provided with discounted price as $4600 and client agreed to pay $4500

Client had provided the theme in PSD file formats, after analyzing the PSD files EGB provided the Function Scope Document and EGB requested client to signup but client did not sign the scope document and orally requested to proceed on the development work. Based on our good faith communication, EGB started working HTML conversion and started the Web development work. Client made delay in providing all the required design theme files on time.

Client had paid 30% initial payment to start the project and agreed to pay the balance on milestone bases, that is 40% after development work completion and 30% for the before the project delivery.

After completing the project, EGB provided the test link for the user and [redacted] administrator user name and password to review the website functionality and requested for the clients feedback. After review the user module and admin modules, client had requested few changes. Based on Client request, EGB had done the requested changes. Client reviewed and agreed to make the final payment in order to transfer the files to client server. We got the approval, with final payment and we delivered the project with all the original source files to client's server. We had also provided the 20 days of free web maintenance services.

Three members team Developer, one Tester and one Project Manager worked on this project for 480 hours. Later on Client had changed and added new modules to the project, later provided design files which was not in the original estimated quote; we have asked for the addition hours and cost, client did not agree for that. As courtesy we did this change as well without any additional cost this is just to make the client happy. This also made us to extend the delivery date which is natural because of additional scope change to the project. We have provided the timely update to the client and each module were approved by client. There were lots of design theme issues from clients side this effected the coding and took us do more time for coding and took us more time to integrate those designs. Client shown simple design at the time of quote estimate but later sent complicated design theme for [redacted] integration. But we did complete the sent design but client didn't understand the complexity of integration of those theme, We did best coding and integrated the design and completed the project..

After receiving the final files, client had raised the issues that the coding is not standard and blamed us by saying that we delayed on project to deliver. Client also claimed Chargeback Settlement on the final payment he made through his credit card for the amount of $1,800.00 through PayPal and received the final amount of $1800.00 on 04/12/2013 from PayPal directly and Paypal reversed this amount from our account. Now, after hard work of 450+ hours and client also took all the source code files and asking us for the remaining amount along remaining amount which is really not fair from our side.

In fact, we have completed the project in a timely manner and in accordance with the client's requirement and instructions. Moreover, the client already received $1,800.00 from PayPal. In fact, the client did not inform us on the Chargeback Settlement with the credit card company through PayPal. We came to know about this Chargeback Settlement from Pay pal and not from the client. We have sent this invoice to the collection agencies to collect the payment from the client.

Hence, we do not owe any payment to the Client and disagree with the claim that the Client has made and we request you to make our client to pay our remaining $1800 that they reversed from our Paypal account.

Based on the aforementioned fact, we request you to consider this matter and make the fair decision based on the service that we have provided to the Client.

Thank you

Yours Sincerely

EGB Systems and Solutions, inc.

The website was developed on our test server. After completing the project, we have shared the links to client's review, after review the link client agreed and approved to move all the files to his server as an approval, he paid the final payment $1800.

We offered him free web maintenance services and supported him as per the request on timely manner.

We have email proof for all his approve.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2013/06/06) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

Unfortunately, the end product that we received was not up to par, ignored industry standards, was largely non-functional and was woefully past deadline. Furthermore, we were unable to receive timely communication from anyone at the company. We were unable to use what they developed and we had to pay another developer to do the entire project since none of their work was salvageable. The other developer was able to turn the entire project around to our satisfaction in 4 weeks and in less than $1,000. We would like a full refund

Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2013/06/20) */

We developed the website as per the industry standards and full functional website. We have shared the web links to the client ([redacted]) and given enough time to review the entire project and give feedback on the same. Client agreed that the website is functioning well, made the final payment, and requested to transfer the files to his server.

We have made website live on client server and provided the maintenance as per the client request. After a period client did not provide the access to his server even after our request. Since he did not provide us the access to the files in order to do the required changes we were unable to make the changes that he had requested again. He moved the files to some other server and started doing the changes by himself. He confirmed that it was due to security and asked for the guidance. Therefore, we took screen shot, provided the code, and gave clear instruction how to proceed ahead. We helped him by giving the clear instructions just because we were not given the access to do the work by ourselves.

We spent lot of time for to complete this project. Our team worked very hard to do the project in a best way. Client had made the payment after being aware about the fact that works was done. However, after sometime client started asking for the refund and filed the case against us. The client also took the $1800 back from our account. We had already worked so much. We request the client to refund the $1800 to us via cheque that was taken back even though we completed the work.

Thank you for you cooperation regarding this matter and we request you to consider this matter and make the fair decision.

Sincerely,

EGB Systems & Solutions Inc.
