Review: I have two accounts showing up on my credit report that do not belong to me. I have been continually contacting NCO and every time I call, I get a different procedure that needs to be followed for them to send me a deletion letter showing it was a mixed file with someone else. I have done every requirement multiple times and called at least 3-4 times a week to check the status. Every time I call back to check the status, they give me another reason why the letters cannot be sent. There is no consistency or urgency especially since this is their mistake to begin with. The reps are telling me this cannot be done, but ironically they have already sent what I need for one account, but to the attention of the wrong person. I am denied talking to a manager every time I request it. I ask them to review their notes to show how inconsistent it is, but they will never reference what has been noted. The attitude of not willing to help and interrupting and cutting me off telling me I am wrong with what I have been told is ridiculous considering this is not even my debt to be collected. This is heavily affecting my credit report.Desired Settlement: A letter for each account to show it is not my debt and is a mistake to be showing on my credit report.

I am writing in response to a compliant. Once the Revdex.com contacted NCO, they removed the incorrect information. I wanted to notify you that this is now closed but the original complaint was valid at that time. If there is anything else that I need to do, please let me know. Thank you!

Review: About one week ago, I started receiving automated calls asking me to call and ask for a certain person, but the person's last name was always impossible to understand. At first I ignored the first few calls since I was on the do not call list. Then decided to call so that I could request to be removed from their call list. When I called, it started with an automated message that the call may be recorded, and then transferred me to a person. I then tried to request the person mentioned in the recording even though I did not have a last name and was told that was ok they could help me. Then the person started trying to get various information from me, including my address, full name, and the last 4 digits of my social security number. I told them politely that I would not provide any such information since I did not know who they are and was told their company name (NCO) and that they were a collection agency. I told them I had no debt that I know of and if they informed me of any debt that I did have I would pay it to whom I owed the money. After a number of calls and only acknowledging my date of birth, I was told I owed the City of [redacted] some money. I contacted the City of [redacted] and was at first told I had no debt but later in the day they called me and I was told of a debt and I went in personally and paid it to the department it was owed. This all happened because I was not sent the bill. I have since been called repeatedly by NCO even though they keep saying they have removed me from their call list and also now received a bill from NCO in the mail. I have repeatedly call NCO asking them to stop calling me, only to be told that I am not in the call list and it just has to be 24 hours before the automated system removes my number (this I have been told for at least 3 days). I have tried explaining I have paid the bills, but either they will not listen to me, or insisted I provide proof but I feel I owe them no proof since the bill is paid and since I do not trust them and they could confirm this with the City of [redacted]. Worst is their treatment, when I try to explain that I have paid, most of the time they keep interrupting me, and on more than one occasion just hang up on me. I admitted I am at wits end and on a few calls got frustrated and even screamed, but I can assure you that they will not share all of their recorded call with me where they acted in an unethical manner. The shame is that this ethically crippled company has almost certainly damaged my credit.Desired Settlement: I wish to have them stop calling me, write me a written apology acknowledging they were wrong in their treatment of me and to NEVER contact me again. Also, it is my hope that if this company continues to behave in this manner that the government intervene and fine them and if needed shut them down. I was told I owed the City of [redacted] some money. I contacted the City of [redacted] and was at first told I had no debt but later in the day they called me and I was told of a debt and I went in personally and paid it to the department it was owed.

Review: no knowledge of account, messing up my credit. needs to be removed

hello, I checked my credit today on credit karma, and it is showing this collections account with NCO, I have no knowledge of this account, or the amount in which they claim I owe them. I have also been harassed with letters from them despite my writing back saying that I have no knowledge of the account and that I do not owe the amount indicated to anyone. they have not yet sent me anything other than letters informing me that I do, they have not substantiated these charges despite my several written requests that they do so. this needs to be removed from my credit report immediately.Desired Settlement: removal from credit report and cessation of all contact related to this account that is not mine. any further contact will result in harassment charges.

Review: I started receiving constant phone calls from this company with a computer message. Then I received a bill in the mail on a debt that I owe. So, I went online and made a payment. Then daily I started receiving phone calls to my home phone and my cell phone. More than 3 per day. I had made a payment so I thought this would be sufficient until I could make another payment. It had been almost a month and I went back on the site to make another payment and had trouble getting the site to work. So I looked up NCO financial again and saw warnings from people that they were 3rd party and would take your money and then start harassing you by phone trying to collect more money and the money wasn't going to pay your debt. I also saw where people had turned them in to the Revdex.com. So now even though they took my money from the payment I made I am not sure if it actually is going toward my debt or they are just scamming me. There were multiple complaints that people had been scammed.Desired Settlement: Basically I just want to know if I am actually paying my debt or being scammed.....I don't know!!! Would appreciate help on this matter.

Review: I am being harassed by this company.

I have received phone calls from this company at work and called them and asked them not to call me at work and I want to be contacted in writing. I want something in writing stating what is owed because I have no idea what they are trying to collect. I don't feel I have an outstanding debt and want something in writing. As soon as I hung up with the man I talked to they immediately called me at work again! After I had just told them if they call me at work I'm going to get fired. I'm in fear for my job now and truly don't believe I owe anything. I don't know why they won't send something in the mail so I can formally dispute it.Desired Settlement: I want them to quit calling me at work and harassing me.

Review: See related complaint regarding [redacted] Medical Center, case# [redacted], through the state of California.I saw Dr. F[redacted] at [redacted] on 1/16/2014. I have previously received calls from [redacted] regarding billing for those services. We discussed errors with my insurance company which had the wrong group number and posted all EOB's with services out of network. My last discussion with them was with [redacted] in Neurology billing around mid-June, 2014. In early July, I finally received a bill, not from [redacted], but from NCO. I thought they were a third-party biller and paid the balance with my HSA and the remainder with a check. The check cleared on 8/8/2014.We have repeatedly received calls from NCO Financial BEFORE and after receiving the bill. We typically ignore collectors as we pay all our bills and have credit scores over 800. Our phone number was previously used by someone not as responsible. However, my husband answered a call AFTER the bill was PAID, asking for me by name. The failed to provide him any useful information and hung up on him when he asked for their business address. Today we received our third call since paying the bill. The will not state the nature of the call without disclosing personal identifying info, which I will not do without verifying who is calling. The ONLY correspondence we have received is the ONE notice from NCO which was PAID. We have not received a bill from [redacted] nor any other correspondence from NCO.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

We would like all harassing calls to cease and desist as this debt has been paid. We would also like any derogatory information regarding this debt deleted from [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted].We paid this bill within a couple of weeks of receiving the FIRST and ONLY statement we received and want the harassment to stop!

Review: In March, 2013, [redacted], a lawncare services company in [redacted], OH, repeatedly offered me lawncare services, which I refused each time they were offered. Despite the fact that I rejected their offer, [redacted] came to my home and performed the lawncare services without my consent. The company then sent me a bill for the services in the amount of $131.10. I disputed this amount, informing them on multiple occasions that I did not request the services and that the services were performed without my consent or knowledge. I refused to pay [redacted] for services I did not request. Despite my initial refusal and my subsequent dispute of both the provision of the services and the corresponding bill, [redacted] refused to withdraw the bill.

In June, 2013, [redacted] sent the bill to NCO, a collections agency (the notice came under the name "[redacted].", but the return address is for NCO). As I do not owe this bill, and have notified [redacted] of that fact multiple times over the past four months, I also do not owe [redacted]'s collections agency for that amount.Desired Settlement: I would like for NCO to rescind the collections notice, and to work with [redacted] to withdraw the charges entirely.

Review: NCO Financial failed to keep up with records concering a bill.

The creditor reports that the bill has been paid as of March 1'st 2013.

NCO waited a full week to levy 2 bank accounts resulting in a garnishment charge of $20 per account.

After speaking with several agents at NCO, one actually called the creditor, and discovered that the bill had in fact been paid in full.

I have asked that because they failed to follow up, that they return the $40 charged to said accounts.

They rather rudely refused.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate the return of said $40 charged to accounts charged by their failure to accurately follow up on their paperwork.

Review: Today, February 4, 2014 I received in the mail, two collection notices. One notice was for $479.68 and the other for $18.95. The notices noted that the initial creditor was a company called [redacted]. who are located at [redacted] PA [redacted]. Upon receipt of these two collection notices I immediately knew that I had NEVER had any dealings with [redacted]. and then telephoned to NCO Financial Syste** to inform them of their error. I spoke to a customer representative who looked up the account number listed on their collection notice and told me the collection debt was for a Internet website domain. I informed the customer representative that I was a retired man almost 70 yrs old and I do not use the Internet nor did I ever call, contact or request a domain service from [redacted]. and I was quite curious as to how they had gotten my name and address and why they were sending me notices of collection on a debt that was never mine. The representative told me that she would mark my collection account as "fraudulent", but I do not know what that really meant. I did however, have a friend look up NCO Financial Syste** on the Internet and noticed that there were pages of complaints of fraudulent collection practices by other people like myself.Desired Settlement: I have noticed on the Revdex.com website that there has been over 700 other fraudulent collection complaint against NCO Financial Syste**, Inc. I would hope, by now, that something would have been done or could be done to stop further fraudulent collection notices and calls to innocent consumers. This to me, is crazy that this apparent fraudulent practice continues on even after all the previous similiar collection complaints.

Review: Dear Sirs or Madams:

I have enclosed this letter responding to a debt collector on a credit card I received from a company called [redacted]. I received the offer in the mail and stupidly thought it was from [redacted] where I already had a [redacted]. I thought this was an invitation to get a [redacted] from the same company. If you will check the logos from both companies, I believe you will understand how I made the mistake. I made a charge to the credit card before realizing that in fact this was not my [redacted] account, but instead some shame company preying on people like me who tend to be stupid about such things.

Before I could even make my first payment (the charge was $381.00,1 was charged fees of $100.00.) I had gone online to make my payment before I realized I had been duped. I was furious with my self and with a company that would do this. I wrote them immediately telling them (and sending back my cut up credit card) so and agreed to pay the $481.00 but no more than that. When they responded to me, they claimed I now owed an additional $100. And I'd "better pay up."

I have now received a collection letter from this collection agency and have responded. I know there may be nothing you can do about this as I was stupid not to recognize I was being "fooled" but I thought at least you should be aware of this company and put out notices to warn people to stay away from them.

I am retired and had just returned from teaching in Korea for five years and was trying to reestablish my credit. I had just received a [redacted] from [redacted] and when I got this offer believed it was offering me the [redacted] card from [redacted]—stupid but I did it. Anyway, I wanted to at least put you on notice of this as I think it stinks.

Thanks for listening.Desired Settlement: see Attached document

Review: These collectors at this company continue to call my house after I have explained a number of times that I do not have a job or the funds to pay this debt . The questions are repeated over and over again and the answer is always the same I do not have the money. I need this company to stop harassing me for this debt. When indeed I can pay I will do so the the source of the debt not a collector.Desired Settlement: Please do not call me. Thank you

Review: I received a notification from NCO Financial Systems indicating that they were collecting a debt from services I received in a hospital in Dallas, Texas. They did not include a list of services, just the amount owed and the hospital attempting to collect a debt. I did not receive such services, so I wrote a letter back to NCO Financial Systems informing them that I was denying the claim and asking for detailed billing information, within the time frame NCO requested (reply within 30 days or you assume responsibility of the debt). Within two weeks, I received another letter from NCO Financial Systems, which the company described as validation documents for the debt they were attempting to collect, on behalf of [redacted] Emergency Physicians. The documents include a summary page with NCO contact information, and two pages of what appears to be a photo copy of a bill from [redacted] Emergency Physicians indicating that I'm the patient of the services for which the money is owed. I did not receive such services, which according to the detailed bill from [redacted] Emergency Physicians, is dated 07/03/2014. I am an Active Duty Soldier, and while I lived in Texas from 2009-2012 (with a year break for a deployment to Iraq), I've resided in Hawaii since August 2012. I have not traveled to Texas since I've been stationed in Hawaii, with the exception of a two-hour layover during a return flight from a training event on the East Coast. This is the first bill I've received from [redacted] Emergency Physicians, and I received it from a collection agency, not from [redacted] Emergency Physicians directly. I am extremely concerned that this company is attempting to collect money from me for services I did not receive and threatening to report lack of payment to creditors, which will negatively impact my credit score, which is in excellent standing.Desired Settlement: Since I was not the recipient of such services, I request that NCO Financial Systems provide a statement to me indicating they have rectified their error in attempting to collect a debt from me that is not mine. Also, I request the statement indicate in writing, that NCO Financial Systems will not attempt to report this activity to creditors, which would negatively impact my credit rating.

Review: My credit report in 2013 showed a collection account with my local home gas provider ([redacted]). The amounts shown on my credit report as due were paid in full by check (from my credit union) on September 30, 2013. That check in the amount of $2,121.76 was tendered for payment on October 4, 2013. My credit report dated September 29, 2014 shows the same collection account, same amounts due and from the same company (NCO Financial).Desired Settlement: Remove the collection account from my credit report and/or indicate that the amounts due have been paid and report balance as zero.
