Review: I have been paying NCO Financial for a few years now on a medical bill they are collecting on. They stopped mailing me statements in 2011. I have continued to pay the agreed upon amount monthly anyway. Today I call them to find out the balance on my account. I talked to 4 people who were simply unable to locate my account. I was finally transferred to some one who told me my balance, but even she had a hard time locating my account. I was also required to give out my social security number to 5 different people. I do not even know if this place is real or if I should be paying them.Desired Settlement: I believe if I am to continue paying them they should atleast be sending me monthly statements showing my payments to them and my balances. If this place is not even real I believe I should be refunded every bit of the money I have paid them. Which had been over 1000.00.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: NCO is posting egregious and un-lawful collection account amounts on my credit report.

NCO lists 2 account numbers in my name with the credit bureau's. The collection is for toll way fins in the amount of 13000.00 for 340.00 of tolls. the tolls have been paid in full in which I have proof of. This by definition is an act of egregious fee charges. I have attempted to dispute this matter with the collection bureau's.

Account numbers are *: [redacted]Desired Settlement: Remove from the credit bureau these unlawful collection accounts. If these account balances of over 13000.00 USD remain on my credit reporting yet in 2 weeks I will be contacting a law firm and filing a law suit in [redacted] Wisconsin against NCO for credit damages, pain and suffering, incorrect credit reporting, egregious and unlawful fee assessment and collection. This WILL be a must appear date and at this time I feel the damages done by NCO's actions and the creditors actions exceed 50,000

Review: In February 2014 I checked my credit report; I seen that an account was placed in collections through NCO Group. I immediately called to resolve the issue, we came to an agreement that I would pay the account off in full and since they (NCO Group) did send the notices to my correct address they would have the delinquency removed from my credit report. It is now May 2014 and NCO Group has not stood up to their word after two additional calls. I was informed it takes 60 days for the account to be removed from my credit report. NCO Group also informed me that in order for them to resend the request to the credit bureau I would have to submit my credit report as proof that it was not removed. I sent the proof to the NCO Group email address provided by the representative only to find out that they no longer accept emails for discrepancies.Desired Settlement: I want this delinquency/account removed from my credit report as promised. account number is 5w6cdm.

Review: NCO Financial has beeen harassing me almost daily for more than a few months now. They repeatedly call me at work after I have informed them they cannot because my employer does not allow it. They are jeopardizing my job at this point because of the numerous calls. Not to mention the calls to my personal phone outside of the hours allowed by law. When told to cease the harassment I was yelled at and told I better pay the money I owe. I have a medical condition and the stress and frustration caused by NCO brings on unnecessary symptoms that were controlled before their harassment.Desired Settlement: NCO needs to stop this harassment immediately. If it continues then they are clearly pushing me to take legal action, which I would rather avoid.

Review: I have outstanding tickets with Nv state that I am aware of and have been paying on since July 2012 with NCO Financial. I called on my normal due date and told them my debit card had been comprimised with fraud and if I could pay a lower amount today or use my [redacted] card until my new [redacted] arrives. (Which was overnighted) The rep said yes that is okay.

After calling NCO Financial today they first off all together had me on hold for over 95 Minutes and have screen shots as proof as well as disrespected my privacy as an American Citizen.

I called and go through then asked to pay my remaining monthly balance then, was informed actually you again have been reissued 2 warrants for your arrest and need to take care of the $500 warrant fee before going any further. I said, I was very confused and that I spoke with a rep the other day saying it was okay I pay the balance at a later date and that they didn't accept [redacted] either. They then said well it's on you not us no matter what that rep said. Then I said there has to be some way to deal with this, this is crazy your reps don't even know what they are talknig about. The women then said "Wait, i'm sending you to my manager".

The manager then told me Yes I can pay any balance I want but, there are repercussions of not paying that balance. Which, in my case led to 2 additional warrants. I was shoked, shoked that a previous women never stated that when I asked is this going to be okay, will this work out. Something to that statement.

Now, Here is where they broke many rules of the FDCPA. The now manager on the line with me asked me how I pay my mortgage.. I responded I don't have one I rent, Then she asked me how am I expecting to pay for food or any travels? .. I said with my paycheck. She then asked me since I rent do I live alone or have a boyfriend? I said yes but, that doesn't matter this is MY debt her and I need to figure a solution. She then says, Ma'am you need to calm down I am helpngi you figure out how you can pay us. I think you need to sit down with him tonight and tell him the situation and that you need help. WHAT !! Then she continued, I see you are calling from a cell phone, how do you pay that bill? Again, I responded it's a work phone, This is my work number. She then said do you have a car, a car payment how long can you go without paying it? I don't have a car payment I drive a '95 [redacted] ! She pryed and pryed and asked me questions that are not her place and every time I said this isn't your business she responded with, "Ma'am please calm down, take a deep breath, I am helping you figure out how you are going to pay us today." What ?? I am floored. How someone can do this is crazy. Asking me if the roof over my head is more valuble then paying them. Asking then if I have a boyfriend ?? What if i'm gay? Asking me if I do have a boyfriend if he can support hi**elf and if he can why can't he help me? Scared me out of my mind. Had me in tears.

I would like to believe I was bamboozled. I know that I had debt with them, I take full responsiblity for my debt but, to play me like that has to be stopped. Then, They convince me to now pay them all the money I have in my bank account which is only, $200. I do, I pay. They scare me with the " Not you but, I haevg seen many people get pulled over when driving home and get arresseted and spend the night in jail" .. "How will you make money if you can't make it to work on Monday" ! Then, They tell me unless they receive at least another $100-$300 depending on which rep I was speaking with they all had different numbers that I would not have my warrants taken off again and that I would have to go at least all weekend or until I could pay more with warrants and jepordize "spending that night in jail and not being about to work to make any more money." So, I told them I get paid at 3PM Pacific Time. The office I called was in AZ so exact same area. I got my check ran and cashed it, then called them right when it was done, waited 3 seperate times on hold after 20 minutes each time it forwarded me to different peoples V** so, I would call back. Finally on the fourth time I got though and was told sorry but, the only people that can help you are the AZ office wince you are located in NV and they have left early for the day. WHAT!? I said " No, sir I was told I could pay this until 4:30PM PST". He said I am sorry ma'am but, they had left early for the day. I was outraged, so taken back I asked to speak with his manager I need to not have warrants over my head over the weekend, even for my drive home from work later today. He said sorry ma'am even if you talk to him there's nothing he can do he has no jurisdiction in NV. I said I didn't care and still needed to speak with him he said please don't be rude to us there's nothing we can do. I again said Sir I don't care put me through to your manager. The phone went silent for about 20 seconds then, he hung up on me. I was on a work phone so, I multiple eye witenesses to this entire process with NCO Financial. From day one they have prayed on me because, I know I have to get rid of these warrants and I am a nice girl who believes everything they shove down my throat but, not anymore this has gone too far. I need help with this company, I don't know where else to turn to.

I also forgot to say this part, They said even if I come up with the desired amount of money they want today that from this point forward they want me to make two payments a month and want to knwo my paydays and times.

Parts of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act they have violated:

Seeking unjustified amounts, which would include demanding any amounts not permitted under an applicable contract or as provided under applicable law

Threatening arrest or legal action that is either not permitted or not actually contemplated

Abusive or profane language used in the course of communication related to the debtDesired Settlement: I need to have the balance readjusted. I need my monthly payments to go back to their orignal price. I need assistance.

Review: I am writing to express my concern with the business practices of [redacted] LLC and NCO Financial Services/NCO Group. Bottom line I settled the account with NCO on 3/13/13 for $4000. [redacted] LLC is the third party collector for NCO. NCO sent my debt to [redacted], but I settled with NCO. Notwithstanding [redacted] has not changed the status of the debt almost a year later. I have called [redacted] LLC on several occasions and asked them change the status of my account as paid. They tell me they cannot change the status of my account and NCO must change it even though the debt is in [redacted]’s name. I called NCO on several occasions and relayed the information [redacted] told me. NCO said that they are reading a $0 balance on my account. They only changed the status of the NCO account on my credit report. They told me they would work with [redacted] to update my credit report, but a year later my report remains unchanged. This debt has caused issues with background checks for employment and my ability to obtain credit. These companies remain indifferent to my situation. Please help me resolve this with these companies. Thank you!Desired Settlement: I would like my credit report updated to show the I do not own a debt to [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: I am writing today in regards to two student loans that I have. WHen I was first in school and could not get a student loan my mother had to co-sign for two student loans for me. In October of 2012 my mother had to file bankruptcy due to financial hardship and was instructed by the attorney that the student loans would not be effected. I went to make my monthly payment to [redacted] in October as I was paying monthly payments on time and it showed that I had a zero balance which confused me becasue I had paid the month prior with no problem. I had to wait until the next business day to call and speak to a customer service rep to see what was going on with the loan and this is when they told me that the loan was in bankruptcy, and explained that anyone on the loan that files bankruptcy will put the loan into default. I notified my mom of this who went back to her attorney and told him and he said this is not legal, I made many calls to [redacted] trying to get this removed from my credit and to a copy of my promissasry note. [redacted] said there was nothing they could no and that the loan was being handled by [redacted] Student Loan services so I called them trying to resolve this becasue it is very upsetting that I was paying on time payments and due to my moms financial hardship I am being penalized this is staying on my credit longer then the bankruptcy is staying on hers, they told me they would try to get the promissary note and I never recieved one, I attemtped to call again and they told me that they no longer had the loan that NCO had the loan I contacted them they told me they would get my a promissary note and that it could take a long time because they had to contact the corporate office for this, so two months went by I did no recieve a promssiary note I called back and asked for one again, I just recieved this the end of July, I read through what they sent to me and no where did it say anywhere that if one of the parties on the loan filed brankruptcy that the loan would default, so I called NCO back I told [redacted] who I spoke with that I received the note but it did not say anything about bankruptcy she stated that when someone requests the promissary note that they usually just send the part where it shows that you signed the agreement. I think that was very unprofessional becasue they knew I was requesting the entire prmissary note because I wanted to see where it states about the loans going into default, she then started to read a promissary note to me though I do not know if it was my acutal promissary note or not. I have already filed a complaint against the origional loan provider, which is [redacted]. [redacted] has tried to repurchase the loan from NCO, who has refused. I was emailed a letter from [redacted] that they have tried to repurchase the loan but NCO declined. I spoke with a representative by the name of [redacted] at [redacted] today August 13,2013. [redacted] informed that they can not do anything at [redacted] because NCO has declined to let them repurchase the loan and that the only way they could get the loan back is if NCO voluntarily gave them the loan back then it would go back to its original aggreement and that I could continue to pay the way I was and that it would be taken off of my credit. [redacted] with [redacted] recommended that I contact NCO which I did so, I called today AUgust 13,2013 and spoke with a customer service rep by the name of [redacted], who by the way was very rude and unprofessional if I treated my patients at work the way this guy was speaking to me I wouldn't have a job. ANyways I told [redacted] that [redacted] has tried to repurchase the loan from NCO and it was declined [redacted] states that they can not repurchase the loan that NCO is just the servicer. I then asked [redacted] if he could tell me who the purchaser of the loan was he told me to wait on the line and he would get that information, I was on hold for a little while and he came back on and told me do you want the address to make payments I asked if the address that he was going to give me was for the purchaser of my loan he said that it was the address for NCO to make payments to them, I said you said that you where going to get me the information about the purchaser and he said there is nothing that can be done with this loan until it is out of bankruptcy I asked how long is that because I have been told different things and as long as 7 years ALlan states that it remains in bankruptcy until the loan is paid off well thats going to be a very long time I was going to be paying on the loan for 20 years, so you mean to tell me I am going to be haunted by this student loan and not be able to return to school or purchase a house becuase of this the rest of my life. I am a single mother trying to do my best to work full time raise three kids and pay my bills on time. No wonder everyone is in debt from student loans and they aren't getting paid back and people are going into debt having to file bankruptcy because of them. So according to [redacted] with NCO I am unable to have the purchaser of these two loans information. The reference numbers regarding these loans with NCO are [redacted] and [redacted].Desired Settlement: I am wanting these loans to go back to [redacted], so I can go back to paying them and have this discharged removed from my credit so it does not effect me in trying to obtain other loans to return to school and purchase a house.

Review: I have attempted to contact this company for several weeks to make payment arrangements for a student loan. I have been misinformed, given erroneous information, basically "talked over" again and again, transferred to different locations ... and have NO results. NCO has contacted me in the past about "invalid" debts and AGAIN, they continue to provide information that is incorrect. I repeatedly asked for a supervisor ...Desired Settlement: contact from a someone in a supervisory capacity. the unethical practices, inaccurate information, etc. are (and should be) grounds for class action litigation against this company.

August 5, 2014Dear [redacted]:I acknowledge receipt of the July 8, 2014 complaint for the above-referenced consumer regarding the abovereferenced accounts. Please be advised [redacted] complaint relates to federal defaulted student loan accounts that NCO is handling on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education (ED) for [redacted], NCO's account notes reflect that in November 2012, ED placed two defaulted student loans with NCO to collect. NCO handled these accounts under NCO account numbers [redacted] and [redacted]. In February 2013, NCO was notified that [redacted] consolidated these loans. As such, NCO updated the accounts to reflect that there was a zero balance due and ceased collection activity. Accounts [redacted] and [redacted] went inactive in NCO’s system in May 2013. NCO did not attempt to collect on these accounts after NCO updated the accounts to reflect that they were consolidated. According to NCO's account notes, in May 2014 and June 2014, [redacted] spoke with NCO representatives who correctly advised her that NCO was no longer handling the accounts and advised her to contact ED.On July 1, 2014, ED placed two defaulted student loan accounts with NCO to collect. NCO entered these accounts into NCO’s system under account numbers [redacted] and [redacted]. Per NCO's records, it appears that these two accounts consist of loans that [redacted] had previously consolidated. The creditor deemed these loans to be in default in January 2014 due to nonpayment. As such, the loans were forwarded to NCO to perform collection activity. NCO has requested the promissory notes from ED regarding the loans. I will forward to you the requested validation as soon as it is available. During this interim time, it is NCO's intent not to contact [redacted] regarding the above-referenced accounts. Please note that interest and fees are being applied to the loans in accordance with the terms and conditions of your promissory notes or as otherwise provided by applicable state and/or federal laws.NCO’s account notes do not reflect that NCO placed excessive calls nor do the notes reflect that any representatives mistreated [redacted] while handling these accounts. NCO updated [redacted] accounts to prevent NCO from placing calls and has transferred the accounts to a managers unit. Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: the statement of facts submitted by NCO is completely inaccurate. I have been contacted numerous times throughout 2014 about the two defaulted student loans in questions. Additionally, I have been contacted by representatives who have used menacing, threatening and intimidating tones that were totally unnecessary. Just prior to sending this complaint to Revdex.com, I attempted to contact NCO to discuss alternatives and was transferred to three different offices -- two of which are the subject of the behavior I have described. NCO's business practices should be investigated -- I am amazed that NCO would state in writing that they did NOT contact me about the loans and that I, in turn, contacted them. I am sure they have records to the contrary. This is NOT an acceptable response to my concerns .... not even an apology for the agreggious behavior of their representatives. Apparently, I am dealing with a systemic problem that NCO chooses to ignore.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:The fact the NCO alleges there was no contact with me about the student loans in collection until July (last month) is categorically FALSE ... and if their account records do no indicate such, either the company and/or its representatives are not documenting contact with consumers. Accordingly, I have been in contact with the Department of Education Omsbudsmen about the status of my defaulted loans and have since learned that the Department of Education has not yet made a determination about the payment arrangements I have requested with them. It was also confirmed that the Department of Education received my paperwork in June (as they requested) and that they are in the process of reviewing same. Strangely, NCO advises that they received and assigned new accounts numbers to my loans effective July AND they never contacted me prior to July 2014. My personal research indicates that should I contact NCO and enter into a payment agreement with them for the subject loan(s), I have effectively acknowledged that the amount of the debt NCO alleges is accurate (which it is not) and relinquish my rights to work out a repayment plan with the Department of Education.Again, I reiterate that NCO is noncompliant with laws governing debt collection, their records are either inaccurate and/or their office is willfully responding with incorrect/retracted or contrived information, and this organization warrants further scrutiny from Revdex.com, US Consumer Affairs, etc. and a litany of other governing agencies which should be apprised of their inappropriate behavior and conduct in debt collection.

Review: Company will not provide payment history via fax or email after I have verified all my information. They have blocked my access to their website in order for me to print it off myself. Each representative tells me they cannot access my account but also cannot tell me who can. I have tried several different 800 numbers and get to a different representative that tell me the same thing. I explained how urgent the situation was and one representative proceeded to say "You know this was reported to the Credit Bureaus in May, right?" I told her I WAS aware of that which is why I needed the payment history to show proof that I have been faithful with my agreed monthly payments. She asked for my fax number, which I provided, then asked for my contact number. I told her it was the same number I had provided the previous 15 phone calls. She read back a previous employer's number that has not been correct in well over 4 years. After hanging up with her, I called back. The previous representative had entered my contact number in where the fax number was supposed to be entered. I gave the rep my CORRECT fax number and he stated that it could take 3-5 business days to have that faxed over. I reiterated that I did not have that kind of time as I was on a 24-hour deadline. I asked him if he could give me access to the website so I could do it myself and he said the person handling my account was the only one that could. I asked who that person was and he said he did not know, the system would not authorize him to have that info. I asked if there was a contact number for the person and he said he didn't have one.Desired Settlement: I would like my account to be handled by a different company or turned back over to the hospital. NCO and all their representatives are rude and constantly threaten and harass me. I constantly receive notices in the mail that I failed to make my monthly payment but my check payment has already cleared. I mail my payment out days before the due date but it still takes up to 2 weeks for NCO to post it.

Review: Received a letter dated November 19th stating I had been sent to collections over a $13.20 toll from [redacted] Toll Hwy Authority. This is the first I had heard about this. When I contacted them, they had no documentation but pushed that I needed to pay the $13.20, plus a $120 fine amount, and a $300 fee. The account number they use is [redacted], and I am going to dispute this claim. I do not feel this collection agency has the right to make me dispute something that is wrong and that they have no documentation for. I have better things to do than to dispute this, How can they do this? If it was only a $13.20 issue I would pay it to have it go away, but $433.20 is an absolute scam!!!Desired Settlement: Provide me with documentation, and if I do indeed owe the $13.20 I will pay it with some interest not a 3,285% increase.

Review: This company is refusing to remove an alert they posted on my credit report by mistake

Good morning

I recently got an alert on my credit report that at the request of [redacted] Medical Group, NCO Financial Services had reported me as a delinquent account. This is completely unacceptable especially since I donot owe them a penny and have paid all my bills to them till date, the latest payment being on June 26th 2014.

I am particularly outraged because the whole mixup that led to the said bill being paid only in June is completely their fault. Until June 26th I was not even aware that I owed them anything until I received a letter from NCO Financial Services about the said amount. I had made several payments to [redacted] Medical group between November 2013 and June 2014 as per the invoices that I was receiving. However somehow, according to one of their employees I spoke to on the phone when I called on the 26th June 2014, they had recently made some changes to their IT system and had somehow created two distinct accounts with my name with two separate IDs. This was the reason why an initial balance of $227.66 that was from November 2013 did not show in the new invoices I was receiving and had been automatically reported to collections. Although I was angry at the mistake, I promptly paid this amount on the same day along with a $15 late service fee (that I shouldnot have had to pay in the first place) to resolve the issue.

As if that was enough, NCO Financial Services at their request has now tarnished my credit history that I have taken years to build by ensuring that I am never behind on a payment. As both companies' records will indicate, I called several times on Friday but no one seemed to be in a position to rectify this mistake immediately. Although [redacted] Medical Group acknowledges that the payment of $242.66 is appearing in their records of 26th June 2014 as I stated, they are claiming they cannot remove the delinquent account alert from my credit report because they did not put it there. I just called back [redacted] Medical group and was told it will take about a month and half for them to just update NCO Financial Services and they were also unable to say whether the alert on my credit history could be removed. I cannot wait that long especially given their incompetence to fix this mistake in the past. I am afraid the alert will become a permanent record on my credit history if I have to wait for that long. On the other hand, their agent, NCO Financial Services is refusing to remove the alert because they never received an update from [redacted] Medical Group that the said bill had been settled (I will disregard the fact that their agents were rude and insulting.)

The main issue is that this whole situation is creating emotional stress and causing financial loss to my family and myself. My first-rate credit history is now tarnished and this is interfering with some major purchases (homebuying) that my family was working on.

Before I decide to take further action, I would like to give this company the opportunity to rectify the issue and hpromptly remove that alert from my credit history.Desired Settlement: any alert on my credit history should be removed at once

Review: I received a letter from this company in March 2013. It was a notice that they were attempting to collect a debt from a certain medical bill and that I had 30 days to contact them. This was the first time I had ever seen the bill, so I immediately called the company. The representative was very courteous and explained to me that they were not reporting this debt and if I worked out a payment plan, the debt would not be reported to any credit bureaus. I set the payment plan up and the first payment was immediately withdrawn, and 4 weeks later the second payment was withdrawn. I was very happy with what we worked out as I am getting ready to apply for my first mortgage and it is very important to me to keep my bills paid in full and on time.

On April 4th, 2013, I received an alert that my credit score had dropped over 40 points. I pulled a copy of my report and this company had failed to keep their end of the deal and reported as a collections on the account. I was devastated by these results. I talked to a representative on the phone who told me that they don't know why it was reported and it shouldn't have been, and that if I paid the balance in full now, than they could report it as a 0 balance. The collection would still stay on my report. This is unacceptable as the collection should never have been reported as the representative even admitted and I don't just want the balance to reflect 0, I want the collection completely removed.Desired Settlement: I want the collection completely removed from my credit reports.
