August 5, 2014Dear [redacted]:I acknowledge receipt of the July 8, 2014 complaint for the above-referenced consumer regarding the abovereferenced accounts. Please be advised [redacted] complaint relates to federal defaulted student loan accounts that NCO is handling on behalf of the...

U.S. Department of Education (ED) for [redacted], NCO's account notes reflect that in November 2012, ED placed two defaulted student loans with NCO to collect. NCO handled these accounts under NCO account numbers [redacted] and [redacted]. In February 2013, NCO was notified that [redacted] consolidated these loans. As such, NCO updated the accounts to reflect that there was a zero balance due and ceased collection activity. Accounts [redacted] and [redacted] went inactive in NCO’s system in May 2013. NCO did not attempt to collect on these accounts after NCO updated the accounts to reflect that they were consolidated. According to NCO's account notes, in May 2014 and June 2014, [redacted] spoke with NCO representatives who correctly advised her that NCO was no longer handling the accounts and advised her to contact ED.On July 1, 2014, ED placed two defaulted student loan accounts with NCO to collect. NCO entered these accounts into NCO’s system under account numbers [redacted] and [redacted]. Per NCO's records, it appears that these two accounts consist of loans that [redacted] had previously consolidated. The creditor deemed these loans to be in default in January 2014 due to nonpayment. As such, the loans were forwarded to NCO to perform collection activity. NCO has requested the promissory notes from ED regarding the loans. I will forward to you the requested validation as soon as it is available. During this interim time, it is NCO's intent not to contact [redacted] regarding the above-referenced accounts. Please note that interest and fees are being applied to the loans in accordance with the terms and conditions of your promissory notes or as otherwise provided by applicable state and/or federal laws.
NCO’s account notes do not reflect that NCO placed excessive calls nor do the notes reflect that any representatives mistreated [redacted] while handling these accounts. NCO updated [redacted] accounts to prevent NCO from placing calls and has transferred the accounts to a managers unit. [redacted] may contact an NCO manager directly at ###-###-#### regarding the status of her accounts.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
At this point this is becoming a big issue to resolve issues that are not mine. I do not wish to "mail" anything, nor do I believe it is necessary to furnish a complete credit report to a company that I am not familiar with. I can however provide proof with the page listed under my name [redacted] A. [redacted] so that it can be shown that this collection company has reported on it. I would prefer that I do this by fax so that I can get conformation on receipt and can be handled in a timely fashion. Since I could not get in contact by phone, or when I did was given the run-around. I would like proof of a time frame of receipt and I should not have to pay out-of pocket for anything such as certified mail because of NCO's mistakes. Please provide a fax number and I will send it immediately for the information that is needed for you to remove. I will not send a complete copy of my credit report since this is personal information and is not needed for this issue.
Regards,
[redacted]

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I received a phone call from [redacted] of NCO, apologizing repeatedly for their handling of this matter. She informed me that I would receive an updated and itemized bill in several days. I received said bill Monday June 30th. The return address on the envelope is: [redacted], Mo. [redacted]. NCO is indicating to you that they are not dealing with me, but I assure you they are. I have forwarded the bill along with a claim form to [redacted]. When the check for $1142.20 arrives, it is my intention to immediately forward it to [redacted], they have accepted payments from me in the past. I am not accepting NCO's response at this time because they are not being accurate with you. I will pay this bill as soon as possible and do not want NCO to further damage my credit. [redacted] assured me they would not report this to the credit bureaus again, if I handle this matter as promised. I will inform you when I have forwarded the check. Thank you in advance, and thank you for your help.
