[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I am happy to be reimbursed and move on peacefully without signing a release as two other agents from Dessange (including a manager) told me I would definitely be reimbursed for my costs and made no mention of a releaseOnly later, this condition was attached to the reimbursementIn order to agree to sign the release, I need Dessange to give me some token sum up to their choosing to compensate me if I need to get a wig or a short hair cut to cover up any results from this burn because I am still barely washing my hair because every time I do alarmingly large clumps of hair fall out.I am also troubled that Dessange wants me to sign a release as if I would be made whole from this experience just from a reimbursement of the minimum out-of-pocket costsThere was a lot of physical & emotional pain and suffering from being burned at the salon - namely the pain on my scalp and the negative feelings and life inconvenience associated with having to wear my hair completely oiled with prescription scalp oil all day every day for weeksIf nothing else, Dessange should give me some sum up to their choosing to compensate me for this pain & suffering to make me whole from this experience, and I will gladly sign the release and feel comfortable taking the step to give up my right to ever raise this issue with them again Regards, [redacted]

Dessange Salons, Inc(“Dessange"), the owner of the Dessange Paris salon located at *** *** ***, Chevy Chase, MD *** (the “Dessange Salon") is in receipt of your June 20, letter and the attached complaint.Employees of the Dessange Salon and I have been in contact with the
complainant (“Complainant”) numerous times since her visit to the Dessange Salon on May 21, where she received a relaxer treatment and blowdry (the "Services”)In accordance with the standard policy of Dessange, and despite the fact that the Complainant has not delivered any documentation to Dessange evidencing a diagnosis of chemical burn from a medical professional, Dessange has offered to refund the Complainant for the cost of the Services as well as reimburse her for documented out-of-pocket costs provided that the Complainant sign a standard release of liability (“Standard Release")The Complainant has refused to sign a Standard Release unless she is paid an additional sum of $which she attributes to “unknowns" that still may result from her skin irritationDessange is not willing to pay the Complainant any arbitrary sums in addition to a refund of the cost of Services and reimbursement of out-of-pocket costs.As has been communicated to the Complainant several times, in accordance with its standard policy, Dessange is happy to refund the Complainant for the cost of the Services and reimburse her for documented out-of-pockets costs (an amount equal to $381.48) provided that she signs the Standard Release.You may contact me directly at ###-###-#### or ***@dessange-inc.com with any additional questions or concerns.Regards, Juliana C*** Corporate Counsel

I am rejecting this response because:
