Review: I conctracted with Ehcor in January, 2015 for a basement project. The project was supposed to take 3 weeks and we are now on over 9 months. The contractor is unable to plan or schedule their operation. We never know more than a day in advance of when a worker will show up and never know what time they will show up...To date, project remains incomplete. Ehcor is not taking any phone calls, but will respond to short text messages Communication and customer service is horrific. Ehcor president, was very nice and professional until contract was signed. Since then, this has been a MOST frustrating and painful process. Ehcor took a $9,000 payment(which they have had use of for 9 months)and it has been a nightmare to get them to come and complete that portion of the project. Numerous phone calls were not returned from any of the 3 phone numbers we were given. Countless emails not responded to. When we threatened to file a complaint, they showed up to do a few minor things. When we were able to get a portion of the project completed. My personal opinion is that they are running a ponzi scheme and using money from new clients to pay for current clientsDesired Settlement: Develop and stick to a defined project plan and complete remaining work.

Review: Ehcor Construction was hired to remodel my basement in June 2014. The job was estimated to take 6-8 weeks. At 8 months the job is still not done. This seems to be a common problem with them. Only a small portion of the job remains but despite begging them to come and complete the work I am unable to get them to do so.

Review: An agreement was reached on 09/19/2014 between the Homeowner and Contractor to refinish the Homeowners basement. A written agreement was signed by both parties (attached). In addition to the written agreement, a verbal agreement was presented by the Contractor for the project to be completed within 6 to 8 weeks. With a start date of 09/20/2014 the six to eight week period would put project completion between 11/01/2014 (42 days) 11/15/2014 (56 days).Summary of work completed.Day 1, 09/20/2014, subcontractors framed basement. Days 2 9 (9/21/2014 09/28/2014). No work completed.Days 10 - 16 (9/29/2014 10/04/2014. Various work completed by Contractor.Days 17 39 (10/05/2014 - 11/02/2014). No work completed.Day 40 11/03/2014. Work completed by Contractor.Days 41 48 (11/04/2014 11/11/2014). No work completed by Contractor.Day 41 end of agreement by the Homeowner.Breach of Contract email/registered and certified letters sent to Ehcor under the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act 73 P.S. $ 517.1 et seg (completion date not adhered to in a verbal agreement and not in the written contract (517.7 Home Improvement Contracts (6)) as required and Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law (viii) Representing that goods and services are of a particular standard, quality grade....."Desired Settlement: The homeowner's are seeking an amicable separation to pay only for services rendered.

Review: [redacted] from Ehcor Construction came and took a look at my basement finishing project on Sept. 23. We was very quick to get my a competitively priced estimate. I told him that my fianc was pregnant and I was looking for a contractor that could finish my basement before Christmas. He told me it would take no more than 8-10 weeks maximum. I gave [redacted] the down payment and they began working a few days later. 2 guys came to my house and framed all of the walls in 1 day. Then I waited 3+ weeks for an electrician to come out. The electrician was at my house for 2 half days and installed 6 recessed lights and rewired a switch. It has been another 3+ weeks since the electrician installed the lights and nothing else has happened. So, over a span of almost 2 months, the only things that have been completed have been framework and 6 lights. I do have to have another switch rewired, which was not originally planned, but that is still no excuse for weeks of delays and no communication to me. [redacted] and [redacted] are very difficult to get a hold of for any updates and every single update has been pushed back 2-3 times, at least. [redacted] is always very diligent about getting checks to her for "progress" payments. Then when they cash the checks they disappear for weeks. I have already paid them $6,810.00....for 2 days of work, wall framing materials and 6 recessed lights....that is absolutely insane!!!Desired Settlement: I would like my 3rd payment of $2,655.00 refunded to me. This payment was to cover drywall installation labor & material. I do not wish to do any further business with this contractor. I just want my third payment back and will find someone else to complete my project.

They strung us along for a few more weeks and finally admitted carpet was never ordered (of course they didnt know how that happened!@#*!) and told us that it would be quicker for us to order the carpet and pay directly. Thus we are out the carpet and the money.Desired Settlement: We want reimbursed for the products & services not provided according to the contract. We do NOT want him to complete the project. We also would like to see this company out of business and unable to inflict this pain, suffering and inconvenience on any other potential customers.
