My heater didn´t come on when the cold did this season I thought I would tough it out, but broke down when the still working thermostat showed I still dragged my feet until one day I decided "now or never", but when I started calling around it was already 1) late in the day, and I hadn´t considered that some heating&plumbing places close early because they open early, and worse: 2) late in the season, so the earliest available time for a technician to come out and look at the problem would be in two weeks or more! / That´s when I decided to call Ehret´s, which I had hesitated to do before because of the supposedly high price which went with their excellent reputationEhret´s answered, and sent [redacted] to my rescue the very next day! My wife and I were so very lucky that *** *** was working the counter at Ehret Plumbing and Heating yesterdayHe was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and really went out of his way to help usWe had removed the valve stems from all five pairs of faucets from our house (two showers, a tub, and two sinks) and brought them all in to find replacements washers and stem bushingsAll were a hundred years old and every pair was differentHe helped us locate and install the highest quality new washers and bushings on all of themOn some of them he had to shave the washers down or pull a frozen handle off with a handle pullerI'm a retired plumber who worked on a lot of old houses in my day, and some of these assemblies were new even to meI've dealt with a lot of counter people at a lot of plumbing placesI've never had the kind of help that *** gave usI highly recommend *** and Ehret Plumbing to anyone for parts or service
