I have sent two cancellation requests directly to Traveler's since I am not comfortable dealing with Scott Eidman If *** *** would have been an appropriate salesman concerned with representing me , his client, instead of wasting my time leaving threatening voicemails , this issue would have already been resolvedI will consider it resolved as soon as I receive a notice from Traveler's stating that my cancellation request was processed and my balance is zeroIn addition, I want a written apology from *** *** - this will ensure that I take no additional action against him for the threatening voicemail I received (I saved this voicemail in case it's needed in the future)

On 11/**/14 insured called my office and spoke with a CSR. He was advised that the best way cancel his Travelers policy would be to have...

his new agent help him complete a lost policy release form. When the new agent handles this for a client, the client is sure that the cancel dates are correct as well as the replacing carrier information. Billing and the required DMV reporting are coordinated accordingly. In this case the insured chose to fax my office a copy of the replacing policy. We then sent him the correct cancel form (LPR) to sign and return. This form has yet to be received by my office. Please note too that this policy is billed directly to the insured by The Travelers and The Eidman Agency Inc. has no power or authority to change premiums due. This must be done at the insurance company level. As per The Travelers auto insurance contract “The insured named in Item 1 of the declarations page may cancel this policy at any time by sending us written notice stating when thereafter the cancellation is to become effective.” Since these requirements have not been met by the insured, The Travelers technically does not have to honor the back dating request. In as much as they are a quality insurance company, they have in the past changed the cancel date to reflect the new insurance company dates as well as changing the bill accordingly with the proper documentation. As soon as the signed LPR is received by my office and/or The Travelers this matter should be resolved. Thanks for your interest.[redacted]

Review: I recieved a cancellation notice of my auto insurance policy and as far as I knew I had paid the bill and was up-to-date. Since I had also, during this same time period, cancelled my home insurance, I called Eidman Agency to clarify the amount owed on my policy. I contacted a man in the Eidman office who stated that I should pay $20 and would be up-to-date and that I should ignore the cancellation notice. Then I recieved a second cancellation notice, quickly followed by a notice from the Department of Motor Vehicles informing me that due to a period of time where I was uninsured that I needed to turn in my driver's lisence and registration. Of course, this alarmed me, so I contacted Eidman Agency again and asked for clarification and explained that a man in their office informed me that I was up-to-date. This second contact reinstated my insurance, aplogized that I was given the incorrect information, and then told me to drop the notice from the DMV and that they (Eidman) would "take care of it". During this same conversation on the telephone, I also asked for an itimized bill so that I could review my account. I was told that this would be mailed to me but I never received it. After losing confidence in this agency I then decided to cancel my auto insurance and find a new insurance company (which I did with [redacted]). Two days after I telephone Eidman to inform them of my cancellation, they returned the letter to the DMV stating that I needed to pay for the suspension. As soon as this notice was returned to me, I went into the Eidman office to discuss the matter with the [redacted]. At that time I was told that she did not have any doubt that I spoke with "a man" in the office about what my correct payment currently was, but and I quote, "No one is owning up to it". I asked to speak to the [redacted] of the agency but was not given this opportunity. Instead, the [redacted] went into another office and closed the door to discuss this matter to him in private. During her absence, another person who was walking by, said that the DMV bill would be taken care of.

Now I wonder if the DMV fine would have been taken care of (like they said it would) had I not cancelled my insurance.

Obviously, one hand does know what the other hand is doing in this company and no one wants to "own up to it". I would not recommend this business to anyone.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: A refund of $176 dollars for the DMV fine and any subequent auto insurance pending after the cancellation. An aplogy would also be nice, but I don't have much confience that this agency will own up to their responsiblity in handling this matter. I would also not like to be contacted by Eidman unless the former desired outcome is met.

They are a small family owned business and a pleasure to deal with!

I have been using the Eidman Agency for my insurance needs for over a decade. Originally, I had a issue with my auto. A friend recommended the Eidman Group and within 24 hrs, I was fully insured. From there, through great customer service and competitive pricing, they've won 2 more autos, 2 homes, a coop, an umbrella and a business policy. They are a nice sized family agency, in business for many decades, stable, friendly and accommodating. I've recommended them to multiple associates and all are fully satisfied with the high level of service and quality products offered.

The Eidman Agency is the best agent I've ever used for my insurance,The staff is always very quick to respond to my needs. When I think Insurance I think Eidman. No matter who answers your call you can be assured of great customer service and competitive pricing.

Review: On 10/**/14 I notified traveler's insurance (Eidman agency) that I was canceling my auto insurance as of 11/*/14 and had new insurance in effect 11/*/14. They said they needed proof of coverage - I faxed everything to them that day. On 11/**/14 I received a letter from Scott Eidman saying that legally the proof of coverage wasn't good enough and that I had to complete his termination form. I immediately sent that in as well. I have now received bills stating that I owe them $322 for insurance through 12/*/14. I have been unable to resolve this dispute on my own.

Yesterday (1/*/15) , I filed a complaint with the department of financial services. As a courtesy , I faxed a copy of my complaint to the Eidman agency . Within minutes of sending the fax, I received a voicemail from Scott Eidman threatening me with some sort of retaliation with the state insurance agency. The voicemail from him begins "Hey, this is [redacted] calling from the Eidman agency- besides wanting to rip you a new [redacted] I have maintained a copy of this voicemail and have emailed the file to the Traveler's Insurance agency's corporate office for their records.Desired Settlement: I would like a written apology from Scott Eidman of the Eidman agency and a bill stating that my insurance was cancelled as of 11/*/14 and the balance is $0
