***, I thought about what you emailed over the weekend; Firstly, As part of our company policies listed on the web site states;"Our Parts Policies All parts pricing and inventory is subject to change without notice We cannot be responsible for a part that does not fit or a part that was ordered incorrectly Once part is ordered, there are no cancellations for days."Secondly had you ordered the part number at $we would have called or emailed you explaining that the part had been superseded and the new price would have been the $1408.15, but that did not happen, so there really isn't any reason to discuss thatBut let us look at what did transpire , the part was $1408.15, we discounted the part $70.40, which yields a total parts cost of $1337.75, that is what you paid for the part You are saying you would have expected to pay $ Well if you deduct the $from $that yields $ What I would be willing to do, as a gesture of customer Goodwill, is offer you that amount towards future porsche parts purchase I understand your point but you should also understand ours, again we can take the part back with full refund or you may take us up on our offer I hope you find this option satisfactory, please advise, thank you in advance, [redacted]

to explain to him the situation and offered him a complete and full refund including the freight to
return the part, but he has opted to keep the part, and declined our offer We have been in
business for over years and strive to make all of our customers happy Unfortunately that is

goodwill gesture to move toward the resolution

Yes, I kept the part as it is correct for my car. From the beginning, I never wanted to return the part for a full refund, I just wanted them to honor the pricing on their website and refund the difference

I understand the catalytic converter is no longer available, and I am very happy to have found the part.
The part number I ordered was [redacted] at a price of $1408.15. What I received was part...

number [redacted] at a price of $1227.00 on your website. I understand the part I received supersedes to the other and will work fine, and I plan on using it. However, if I went to your website and processed an online order for part number [redacted], I would have received the part for $1227.00 + Shipping. I do not believe you would have arbitrarily charged a higher price to my credit card or contacted me to let me know the part I had ordered supersedes to a different number which is a higher cost. 
The reason I took 5% off of the $1227 is to be upstanding and fair to you. If you take the difference of 1408.15 and 1227, the refund would be $181.15. But, because you had discounted the item 5%, taking that percentage off the item I received results in a refund of $172.10
Again, I am very happy to have found the part. I'm not going to return it, and I am going to use it. I just truly believe you should honor your advertised online pricing and charge me the amount published on your website.

We are very sorry that you appear to be unsatisfied with our product 
and our service.  In the interest of making you happy and whole 
again, we will be happy to refund all of your purchase price 
including freight and the freight to return our new part in the 
condition you received it in full.  You seem to have misunderstood 
what was said.  As we remember you had told our sales associate that 
you would pay "anything and its weight in gold", because this part is 
no longer available and were so extremely happy to have found the 
part and we still gave you a 5% discount from our normal retail 
price.  All seemed ok until for some reason you said the part was 
cheaper on our web site.  Unfortunately that part is no longer 
available under that number from anyone including porsche cars.  We 
update all of our parts to coincide with the porsche numbering 
system, so any part that may have an old number will now be 
superseded to the new number and charged as such, that is how we do 
our inventory control and sales.  Again we will make the same offer 
as before, you may return your part for a full refund.  Thank you for 
your understanding in this matter.
Also out of curiosity why would we offer you an additional 5% 
discount at a lower price on a part that is no longer available

Review: I ordered a Porsche Catalytic Converter, part # [redacted], Price on their website is $1408.15. They sent me part # [redacted]. The price on their website for the item they sent me is $1227.00The catalytic converter they sent me will work on my car, so I dont have a problem with the different part number. However, this is a less expensive item, and I believe they owe me a refund for the difference.I called them to explain the situation, spoke with [redacted], and was told because the '15' part number supersedes to the '25' part number, they will not honor the price on their website. [redacted] also told me the prices on their website are not up to date.I believe this is not an ethical business practice! They should honor their website pricing and refund the difference of the two items.Desired Settlement: Refund the difference between the part I ordered and the part they sent me.They gave me 5% off the part I ordered for a total of #1337.75The part they sent is $1227.00, less 5%, for a total of $1165.65REFUND SHOULD BE: $172.10
