Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the video upon review they are referencing shows them working on my car with the hood upIt is not quality enough to see what they are doing to the vehicleThey did not say the mechanic was outside of their establishment but rather offered for us to have it looked at by one of “their mechanics.” Nowhere in the description of services completed and paid for does it say that a transmission fluid exchange is “transmission flush.” They charged for a service they admittedly did not do. A transmission flush and fluid change are two different services A transmission fluid exchange focuses on draining the dirty fluid from the pan; a transmission flush gets rid of all the fluid in the pan, the cooler lines, as well as the torque converter This Toyota used fully synthetic to begin with; so there is still a question of wether or not this should have been recommended Additionally, we didn’t come back for a month because we took it to a reputable mechanic to have it looked at It is not a coincidence that they pulled the wrong line, created an air bubble, and my power steering began whining the very next day Taking my car back to them would be like going back to a surgeon that botched the first surgery I drive around small children, I’m not risking their lives because a shop didn’t know what they were doing and wanted a second chance They clearly misrepresented what service they provided, they have questionable skills based on the fact that they can’t tell the difference between a power steering line and a transmission pan, and ultimately have cost me more money and time their unethical practices need to be known so others don’t get swindled into making the same mistake Sincerely, *** [redacted]

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The repairs were needed to be made because the owner of the vehicle has an infant child and cannot go without a vehicleThe damage made the vehicle undrivableThe repair shop is owned by the vehicle owners father, but the mechanic has no ties to the family and was providing a diagnosis without prejudiceWhen the owner spoke to the manager of the location he explained that the recorded video could not confirm or deny damage because the employee was covering the work area in the recordingThe offer was for 150$ of oil changes but was denied by vehicle owner(myself) because the request is for the damage to be paid for in amount indicated on the invoice they were givenThe damage occurred due to their negligence.
Sincerely,*** ***

We investigated this issue and found that the owner of the vehicle and the owner of *** *** (who is also the vehicle owner's father) attempted to submit a fraudulent claimIn addition to completing repairs prior to notifying Einstein's, the alleged damages were not connected to service
provided by Einstein's Regardless, a goodwill settlement was offered which was refused by the customerWe consider this matter closed

We provided a transmission fluid exchange aka flush and we did remove the power steering line by mistakeHowever this resulted in virtually no loss of fluid, and we did not connect anything to the power steering lines but rather immediately reconnected the power steering lines as soon as we
realized the mistakeBecause, we couldn’t perform the transmission fluid exchange through the transmission cooler lines due to their being inaccessible, we drained and filled the transmission from the pan times after running through gears to achieve the same result as an exchange through the cooler line. When the customer returned a month later, alleging we connected our transmission flush machine to the power steering lines, the video was viewed and showed otherwiseWe requested that the customer return with the vehicle so we could inspect it, but the customer was unwilling and also refused the power steering flush we believe would eliminate the whineThey instead insisted that we pay $for a repair by their mechanic, that our mechanics stated would cost no more than $with a comparable used pump, or $with a new rebuilt pumpWe offered the repair for free or a check for $300, just as insurance would, but the customer refusedOur offer stands but we cannot pay $for a repair that a qualified and reputable local mechanic (*** *** in Meridian) can perform for $
