Complaint: ***
To Revdex.com, This letter is a detailed response to the response written by EIS Colorado that took them four months and days to writeI will go point by point in the same orderFirst they do not provide exemplary service to their customers and they do not finish their jobsEIS said that *** *** did not come to our home to sign the contract and that all was done over the phone. *** *** came and spent two hours at our home the day we signed a legal size long contract. *** ***, *** and *** *** were presentThe legal sized contract did not have a carbon copy because it was his last one, so he was going to e-mail that hand signed copy to us. Additionally, *** walked me down my block and showed me new roof and yellow paint job on another home and said it was their work. I contacted *** *** on 12/14/at 4:55pm at ###-###-####. He agreed that he did come to our house and we did sign a contract. He said he no longer had any files because he no longer works for EISHe was recently contacted by *** who works in the office for EIS and was asked for the contract. This means that EIS did know that we did sign a contract. The contract is lost*** additionally stated that he never told *** or anyone else at EIS that he did not come to our house and he did NOT said that everything was done over the phoneThat was not true on their response. *** said he usually uploaded the contracts but after being contacted by me thru e-mail asking for the copy of the contract we signed, when he went to look for it on his computer there was only a digital contract that was unsigned and not dated. So at this point EIS does not have a signed contractHe additionally said that he was told by *** *** that they were licensed in all of Colorado because they also worked in Pueblo, trinidad and other cities. While he worked there, he did not check to see if it was trueHe apologized to me for not checking to see if the company he worked for was allowed to legally work in Colorado Springs and apologized that he told us they were licensed. He said that he does have integrity and did not mean to deceive us in anyway and in the future he will check companies out firstWe also did not grant permission for EIS to start work on our house or on the supplements before the contract was signed. For that *** *** in Colorado Springs can be contacted because we were talking to them also and they also had a copy of our claim. I had to contact the insurance company when I received a check for one supplement and they said “YOUR CONTRACTOR SENT THAT SUPPLEMENT IN” this quote was from *** *** from *** ***. I asked which company? because I did not sign with one yet. *** *** instantly said that it was fraud for them to start doing that without a contractBut *** told me back then that they did that so I can see how hard they workI liked *** and he said he was a Christian and so we chose them to do the workAll of the statements before we chose EIS - that EIS spoke with me and my mother is a lie. Because my mother was in South American and arrived only days before *** came to our house and brought a contract. She was away for three months. Not one person from that company spoke to her or emailed with her before we signed with them. I was waiting for her to come back to make the final decisionAs for the claim itself that they said that *** had a copy on 9/21/16, *** *** of Colorado Springs also had a copy for to look atSo what does that prove? Roofing companies always ask to see the claim before they write up a contract*** *** also wrote up a contract. It is called shopping around and a client has all legal rights to do that. *** *** were not trying to intimidate me with saying they already started working on my claim to get me to sign the contract the way EIS did. That is also fraud. EIS would have known that they did not have a contract right? So why did they start? The upgrade to the class four roof was promised but never delivered. We had our roof inspected and I was told that is NOT a class four roofThey said it was a mixture. We wanted to at least get that insured and save money and we are not allowed to. We are today insured only for the prior type roof that we had before EIS replaced it because Class three and class four roofs come with a certificate. I asked for this several times and *** from EIS always said he forgot it for months. If it did exist we would have sent a copy to the insurance company in March and started saving money because we thought we had a better roof. We don’t The roof also had to be repaired because some shingles were lifting up and our new contractor said it should not be doing that. It was not originally installed correctly in some areas that caused leaksAlso long edge on the back side was lifting up. I asked *** about that and he said it would settle down later. It didn’t so the new contractor fixed that whole end so there would not be any more leaksThey stated it is illegal to not charge the deductible, if that is true then why did they offer it? And why is there a $credit which is our deductible on unsigned “contract” they did e-mail. Regarding $17,the contract e-mailed said $14,089.12. A total claim can be 17k but that does not mean that is how much the insurance company is going to pay because of unrecoverable depreciationAn experienced contractor would know that. The claim expired in July 2017, so what do they have to say about that. They knew very well what that meantAlso, the work was never finished, the work done was poor and fraud was committed. Not to mention all the garbage of metal and gutters and plastic left everywhere. How about the money paid to the new contractor? Our new replacement front door was broken by *** and *** of EIS worker because they dropped it. It took them hours to install itI took picturesThey had to replace it because THEY broke the new one they were putting inThey also broke the molding on the inside of the door. When they left it was a mess and you can see the sun streaming through the sides of the door when it was daylight. They did not know how to install it. It was done so poorly the new contractor had to take it out completely and reinstall it and they want to take credit for someone else’s work. Before we had the door done correctly I was told it was unsafe because EIS left it sticking out a few inches and so the lock was on the frame and not on the wood part and so it would be easy to break into the house by just pushing in the door. EIS left it that way and did not fix it. The door is now put in safely because we paid to have it done right not because they did anything about itWe have pictures of their “finished” door with white calking all over it except on the bottom sides where it needed it. We also have pictures of the door without a frame for months and I had to ask over and over again for the frame and later the cheapest trim they could get that did not match the old one and it was not painted and had grey nails all over it. In the same large room there is another door they did not touch and the difference between that quality trim and color compared to EIS ugly cheap one with grey large nails all over it and no sealingSo there would have been a huge draft if we left it that way and it would have been unsafe They never sent teams to fix or finish the work. There are several e-mails from us without responses asking them what happened? This was before we complained to the Revdex.comSo that’s a lie that they sent people. The main person that I saw them sending is *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ** *** *** *** *** can be contacted from *** insurance *** *** to confirm this but also it is in the main claim there is a place where it was covered and paid. It was in no way a supplement or an upgrade that is a lieWhy can’t EIS read the claim to see where it is covered within the claim instead of lying. *** *** hired *** *** to put on the clear roofing. *** came and ripped off all the old clear roofing and brought some new clear roofing panels. He began to install the new clear roofing panels and left later that afternoon. He had not finished yetWhen *** left and he came back all the work he had started on was torn off. He (***) had Chinese Gutter workers whom I took pictures of ripping off new clear roofing and walking all over the wood that went under the clear roofing. I complained to *** because that wood was not made for human weight and they were damaging it by walking all over. Additionally I told him that we are not liable if they fall because they were being irresponsible. These Chinese workers did not speak any English. They ripped off the work done by ***’s other employee ***I was trying to tell them to stop. These new clear panels were damaged by the way they were ripped off. The Chinese guys hammered down the shed door and damaged it and put in gutters. These gutters did not have the mess covering that our old ones did. EIS never fixed any of that or fixed the door. Additionally they never came back to fix one particular gutter that was supposed to be higher. The shed door could not open because they did not measure it before putting in the gutters. So the gutter blocked the top of the doorAnd the door did not open at allThose gutters were later put in properly by OUR new contractors and door repaired. That came out of our pockets. Now the shed door opens. But the door still looks disgusting because of the hammering from the Chinese workers. So please let EIS explain if the insurance company did not cover clear roofing then why did they have their employee *** work on it almost a whole day? And why were the clear ones ripped off? That’s when they decided to put on metal onesI was told by *** that THEY EIS would not guarantee the clear roofing. I did not want to put in metal at all because of the noise it would make when it rained and the darkness it would create over the house. I believe they did not know how to properly install the clear roofing and so they put in a metal one. That metal roofing leaked all over because they never used caulking or repaired it. It leaked on every side. Also the leaks caused more water damageEIS left it that wayI am very glad they brought up the topic of the metal roofing up. Our new contractor walked me to the metal roofing and got a stick and pushed up one of the panels. It came right up and off!! It came off because only the first and last panel was hammered down! He said that the winds here in Colorado are strong enough to lift the metal panels up and they can slide off the rood and being metal and the velocity could have decapitated someone. I was shocked. This was serious. *** *** contacted *** *** and asked him WHY! He said that EIS did not supply him with nails and that they did not even pay him. This is work verified by professionals saying it was so poorly done that it was dangerous! What does EIS have to say about not nailing down their metal roof? This is the kind of work they want payment for? Additionally, we have pictures of the old plastic panels left all over the property thrown. We had them removed with three gutters thrown around our property. Is that the property owners’ job or EIS? We had another company easily rip off that un-nailed metal roof and install an awesome clear roofing that is leak-proof and guaranteed. So the statement that it was not covered is a lie it is in the claim. There were absolutely no teams sent out to finish the workI am sure if we spoke on the phone or texted in the last almost five months they can show proof of that communication? Correct? Why didn’t they contact us through the Revdex.com service to mediate? EIS never attempted to finish or repair anything. The day after I sent a complaint to the Better Business I received two texts on July 27, at 8:AM from *** saying “I’m putting a lien on today” the second at 8:AM said “Our attorneys will be in contact for slander”. There was no other communication except a letter of Notice of Lien dated July 25th This date is important because it showed that EIS was going to put a lien on our property before they finished and the day before I contacted the Revdex.com. The Lien process is their only way of payment, they didn’t even call me first to try to speakIf they would have done the COS and sent in the pictures, we would have gotten the recoverable depreciation and paid them but they did not and were never going toThey would never be able to obtain a legal inspection of their workThey only wanted money they did not deserve and money we could not obtain from the insurance company if they didn’t do it correctly. They never showed me a COS or anything to sign. The argument with *** was about several things that had gone wrong not the siding. *** was screaming and he was extremely rude. He is a bully, that’s how they treat their customers. We argued that he did not finish or do the report and *** said I quote “I want my money!” So how can he get his money if he did not even do the closing report or pictures taken or finish? And how was I going to get the rest of the money from *** without a roof inspection from the city? I told him we were in a super hurry because the claim expired in July! He did not care all he wanted was moneyI texted him pictures of all the garbage and unfinished work. We like the color the house was painted but *** said that he made a mistake when he ordered the shed roof because it was supposed to be grey. They put on a white one. All these mistakes, one employee says one thing and the owners another? That is bad company communication. As for communication, the Arizona Revdex.com who was handling this claim asked in the beginning of August if we were open to mediation and we can get everything resolved with EIS and have them bring people with a license who can finish the job and then payment could be made with the Revdex.com mediation overseeing. We said YESThey called EIS and EIS never got back to them. So even with the Revdex.com in Arizona working to find a good solution EIS did not respond back to their callsI am glad now that EIS avoided the Arizona Revdex.com because, we would have never found out all the mistakes they made and how they left our home unsafe. Now today this mediation is not an optionThey are lying about being licensed contractors when we hired them in November 2016. This statement proves they lie and have no integrity at allTheir contractor license today in Colorado Springs is EIS COLORADO. They officially became contractors on September 20, NOT before March when they installed the main house roof and NOT when we hired them and NOT when they were advertising *** ***, Co-coordinator from the Pikes Peak Regional Building department ###-###-#### can be contacted to confirm. She can also confirm that the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department for City of Colorado Springs was going to sue EIS Colorado for operating in Colorado Springs without a license unless they became Licensed ContractorsEIS Colorado conceded and became a Licensed contractor to avoid being sued by them. *** *** can also further confirm that there was NO permit pulled on our property and the only permit paid for or submitted in the last two years was the one I paid for on August 10, 2017. Permit number L10672. What permit number does EIS say they used? Can they provide one? NO because they cannot legally pull a permit when they are not licensed There is no permit from *** *** or EIS Colorado for our property that is a verifiable lie. With no permit we could never get an inspection and without an inspection we could never get the rest of the claim money or a sign off worked completed on the property from the insurance company. *** does things differently so they don’t get defrauded. EIS knew this from the beginningEIS blames *** *** stating they installed the roof on our property at *** *** *** *** *** *** and that they were supposed to pull the permits for said property. I spoke to *** *** owner of *** *** on 12/15/at 7:AM and he said he never worked on our property and never put in a roof here. He said he had nothing at all to do with our property. I believe him because he said he always meets the owner whom he works for and we never metHe also said his company *** *** was never a subcontractor for EIS Colorado. He has done two projects with them last year but parted ways because EIS Colorado was untrustworthyTo confirm this he is open to be contacted at ###-###-#### and at ***So please have EIS explain to us how they wanted us to sign a fake COS or closing of site report without a roof inspection? How were we going to recover the recoverable depreciation if *** required the inspection before releasing the funds?? And how was EIS going to get that inspection if they never pulled a permit?? Permits have a month deadline for inspection from the date pulled so if they put in the main roof in March why did they never get the inspection by June 2017? They would loose the permit money and have to get a new one correct? So why didn’t they get a permit? It would had to be because they couldn’t get it legally. So they just told us they did Also, I remember first meeting *** *** when they put in the main roof, he was leader of the teamAlso why is EIS Colorado blaming *** *** for not obtaining the permit? Would that have not still been EIS’s responsibility? Wouldn’t they have needed that information and inspection for the close out report. EIS is saying we didn’t sign it but that report did not or ever would have existed without the permit and inspection infoIn their response they said they were an hour and a half away. This was a concern I had before we signed and I was told they had workers here in Colorado Springs and that it was not a problem for them to do the work. Now they are complaining about it. *** their worker lives here in Colorado SpringsEIS said they want to come out and get final photos and documents needed. Yes they want to take credit for the work and labor and material completed by other companies that we paid for and say they did it? No they will not come to our propertyAlso we contacted our insurance company and made sure we were covered for damage that they made do to our propertyWe also told our neighbors that they are not allowed on our propertyIt is December and this is the first time they are contacting us except for a notice of lien sent July 25th. Almost five months later and it was July 19th since the last time they did any work at all on the house. I sent them texts that I have on July 24th with pictures of unfinished work and roof garbage saying “this is what you call finished?” The Notice of Intent to Lien Colorado Revised Statute was sent to our house certified mail on July 27, 2017. This “Lien” was written incorrectly and did not have any amount noted on it but it was signed. EIS only had four months to fulfill all the acceptable requirements for a lien and they did not follow through. Now according to our lawyer they cannot legally put in a lawful lien on our home and if they do it with the county it can be easily reported as unlawful as of November 19, Also their poor work can be verified with reports from the other contractors and also the amounts paid to those contractors to finish and repair. *** Insurance was also aware of all that had been done and what was paid to them and aware of the fraud they committed against us. They were supplied reports that EIS had no license and had done a poor job*** *** of *** said they were the worse she had ever worked with and their supplements usually did not have supporting documentationAlso I spoke with *** *** in June and wanted to set up a time where I can get EIS on the phone and *** at the same time. *** was open to speak to them at any time but EIS never could get back to me on when or what time was good for them?? I even emailed them this and they did not respond. I wanted to know Monday 8am? No, EIS did not respondThey never had time not in the day or at night? *** from *** was willing to work on EIS schedule to get on the phone and speak to them but they rejected her offer. She left them messages with EIS’s office employees and *** has their names, dates and times they spoke and still they did not respond. Finally I demanded an answer from them and *** kept saying they called and called ***. That was a lie because *** records every single attempt to contact them and they did not have any record of this. And I gave EIS a solution and they did not accept. EIS did not want to speak to *** because EIS knew they were going to defraud us. They knew they would never send be sending the closing report. When I didn’t hear from anyone at EIS when I was trying to get them to finish the work, I told *** I thought they went out of business or something. He said it was the best financial year of EIS historySo if that was true why did they behave in such a greedy manner not finishing and not paying their employees properly so they can do a good job. They were so greedy they did not give *** nails to nail down the metal roofEIS should be ashamed of the way we were treated and should not be asking for money they certainly do not deserve. What if someone had gotten hurt? But they have demonstrated themselves to have no value for the truth by their prior response that had several lies. How about all the trouble they have caused and our needing to obtain an attorney and the money spent on legal feesI do not agree that we owe them anything at all. Everything they have said in their response is not true and it can be verified. So I ask that the Revdex.com look into this claimAlso take into account they did not respond to the Revdex.com until now four months and days later but did contact me the day after I sent the complaint to the Revdex.com to threaten meEven though EIS wrote a seemingly kind in nature letter I hope the Revdex.com can see through the lies and how they were unconcerned for our safety. Thank you for reading this long report. I appreciate the Revdex.com’s time and effort on my behalf. While writing this I just received a message from EIS Colorado from *** called me from EIS and stated several lies. One that she has been trying to get in touch with us but she cannot state a date or time. She stated that EIS does have a license. I told her she got it in Sept and not before. She kept lying over and over. EIS never used to answer the phone and she wanted to know why did we not get in touch with her? She is a bull dog calling us to bully us She also wanted to take credit for the permit and inspection, that I purchased a permit for and that I requested after the repairs. She said that she was the one who wrote the Revdex.com response. So she is the one making all these claims. And her lies will be verified and *** is a liar. I asked her about *** *** and she said that no that was a misunderstanding and that she doesn’t know who installed our roof but that *** *** is one of their sub-contractors. I called *** *** and he said he had never been a subcontractor for EIS so she liedThe call with *** got heated and I yelled at her that EIS never answered their @! phones!!! And anyway why was she contacting me for payment?? All *** knows to do is lie she is so slimmy Why did she not wait for the Revdex.com response today? I just got their response last night. She is soo impatient and wanted to intimidate me with her lies and take credit for the roof inspection we past last month that we repaired NOT HER. *** also spoke to *** *** today and outright lied to him that she does not know how *** *** was involved in the Revdex.com complaint. She wrote it!!! She said that *** (me) was lying and that there was not anything wrong with the roof. That is true NOW not then. She is a deceptive horrible ugly manipulator. She apologized to him and denied that *** Builder was in their response. She talks the way she writes all lies in a sweet tone. These are the kind of snake employees this company hiresI just called back and spoke to *** the owner and he said that he was not aware of a lot of the things that went on and not aware of what *** was doing and saying. *** and I spoke at 10:Am 12/15/for Minutes and secondsHe and I spoke and we came to a conclusion that, I will not sue him and he will not sue me and we do not owe each other anything else. Hopefully he will repair the problems in his company and have better employees that do not lie hurting his good name. I agreed to this resolution and am contacting my lawyer today to close this out. I do believe he may want something in writing stating from *** with that sentence. So if he sends that in writing to the Revdex.com please forward it my way. Thank you
Sincerely,
*** ***

This information is accurate. We did agree to amicably part ways with no further actions to be taken by either party. We appreciate the help in this matter and we are glad to see it resolved. We regret we did not provide a better experience for our client, but we have taken this experience as a valuable lesson and we look forward to using this lesson to better serve our clients in the future

I called back and spoke to [redacted] the real owner of EIS and he and I came to a conclusion that he will not sue me and I will not sue him.  I will also not pursue anything else against them with the Revdex.com.  So I agreed.  My lawyer would like to see something even two sentences from their company that they will drop this issue and not pursue payment or go to court.       It is too bad [redacted] never called me because he sounded as if he did not know what his employees were doing.  So this is good news and after they sent their response we can put this to bed.   Thanks for your help in this matter,   [redacted]

[redacted]-First and foremost, we would like to apologize that there has been miscommunication and that this has become such a frustrating situation for you. We try to provide exemplary service to all of our customers and do the best that we can to  finish jobs in a timely, and professional...

manner. We have looked into this matter and wanted to address several of your statements and concerns. [redacted] was a sales person who dealt with your claim and is no longer with our company, in fact he stopped working with us in February of 2017 while we were still working on your claim. We did reach out to him to find out the reasoning behind the use of a digital contract. He has stated that he went over everything with you via phone and then sent you a digital copy of the contract per your direction, so that he didn’t have to make a three hour round trip for the signing. We do sign contracts in this manner frequently when the home owner is busy or far away. He did acknowledge that the supplement was done before the signing of your contract as per a discussion with you and your mother stating that you had asked to see what supplements the insurance company was willing to give before an actual contract was signed. We do have copies of the insurance paperwork that you gave to [redacted] on 9/21/2016 and our system does time and date stamp all document uploads. It is not illegal for us to supplement without contract when the homeowner has given us these documents. We do, however, apologize if this caused frustration for you.We did give you an upgrade on your roof to a [redacted] shingles which are a class four shingle free of charge. As far as not charging the deductible, it’s actually illegal for [redacted] companies to do this. We often will offer to give clients a referral credit or something of the  like for positive reviews etc. However, at this time, you have only paid $9,621.00 of the contracted $17,737.99 job that we performed. We are unable to offer any type of credits when payment has not been made.We do acknowledge that some mistakes that were made during construction, which does happen from time to time, we are, after all only human. However, as is protocol, we fixed all of those mistakes. When the door was broken, we replaced it with a new door as well as the trim with like in kind. When the gutters were not to your standards we sent our team back out to fix the issues. With regard to the plastic [redacted], we told you that this would not be covered by your insurance. It was cheap plastic that could be purchased easily at [redacted]. [redacted] spoke with you and your mother regarding this and offered to cover the expense out of our pocket to upgrade that roof to the R panel 24 gauge metal roof rather than the cheap plastic. This was agreed upon and we proceeded at our cost to fix this. I apologize that you don’t like that the home is darker now, but you signed off on this upgrade and didn’t pay for it. We have sent teams out time and again to repair each issue that you stated that you had. Every time that we reached out to you for payment on the remaining balance due on the work we have performed, and for you to sign our COS and let us take photos, you would list some new issue. The incident with [redacted] where you state that he lost his temper was one of these instances. You stated that you did not like the way that the paint looked on your siding and wanted new siding. However, we had previously warned you that you had older siding and may not look great with the color  which you selected, and that your insurance company was not paying for new siding. You asked us to move ahead and we did. When you were unhappy with the results you refused payment until we replaced it with new siding at our cost. I apologize if there was a rude tone or frustrations expressed. However, we do hope that you can understand that this is not how business is conducted. You hired us to a do job which we did and then have refused payment time and again. With regard to your statements that EIS Colorado does not have a license with Pikes Peak Building Department, this is untrue. Our Pikes Peak Contractor ID is Contractor ID: [redacted]. We would be happy to provide you with further credentials if you would like. Your permit was actually pulled by a subcontractor who we worked with on your project for the roof, [redacted]. As our people were not actually doing the re[redacted] due to the busy season and the fact that your home is an hour and a half away from our home office, they assisted. We in no way want to bully you and have tried time and again to resolve these issues with you and your mother so that we can close this claim and process payment on this file. We would love the opportunity to come out and get the final photos and documents needed, as we have tried to do several times now. The lien process is how we are able to collect on our jobs in situations where a homeowner does not cooperate with payment after all work is completed. And while we never want to go this route we do need to recover our costs. Even with full payment on this job we will have lost money on this project. We want to see resolve in this and hope that you do as well. Thank you for reaching out and voicing your concerns, we look forward to putting these issues to bed.

This homeowner was using the Revdex.com to expedite things out of our control; namely, things involving their insurance company.  Since then, we have resolved everything with their insurance company and proceeded with the repair process.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
The response from the company is true.  we are hoping that work will begin in January 2018.  We are waiting on a permit.  I would like to be able let Revdex.com know if all the work has been completed to my satisfaction.  The problem is not completely resolved as no work has been done nor anything completed.  Staying in contact with me has certainly been a plus.
