Eiseman Construction

Review: Eiseman Construction Company was contracted by [redacted], which handles management for our home owners association to replace the roofs on all of the units in our development. After the roof was replaced on my unit, a leak developed in the garage leading to the growth of mold in the drywall on the roof. It should be noted that there was no leak present before Eiseman replaced our roof.

I initially contacted Eiseman Construction Company so they could resolve this issue. When Eiseman sent a worker to investigate, the worker stated to my wife that the leak was due to improper sealing of the window. However, they said that the area that was not properly sealed was removed in the act of installing the shingles over the garage. After speaking to my wife, the worker sealed the area with silicone caulk.

When the owner of Eiseman contacted me, he neglected to mention this and stated that it was an issue with the window only and therefore he was not responsible for the leak. Secondly for the initial inspection and the caulking, We received a bill for $175 for the service. We were not informed of the fact that there would have been a charge. Secondly, this was an issue that should have been covered under the initial warranty.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome would be for Eiseman to repair any issue with the roof as well as replace the drywall that was damaged by the mold. Secondly, we would like Eiseman to retract the bill for $175 that was issued to us.

The resident withdrew his complaint. We discussed with his property management company and homeowners association and we waived the fee to him for the service that we provided.
