The reason that they only give a 1 day guarantee and send you gift cards with $0 balance on them is because this company is fraudulent and scams their customers. They hope that customers don’t use the cards immediately so that they can claim that it is past their lame 1 day guarantee and just keep the money. Most other reputable gift card companies will offer at least a 45 day guarantee on their cards. DO NOT BUT FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE GETTING SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR MONEY. You have been warned…
After attempting to make a purchase and finding out the egift card was at zero balance I contacted thier customer service. As many others have also figured out, egift cards preys on people with their 24 hour guarantee using this as a default response...with no intention of help.
Home Depot has better things to do than track a gift card, unless you have a police report. Even then they put little help in providing information.
Beware of this site (ejgiftcard), they have unethical business practices and useless customer service.
I filled a complaint with IC3 and BBB, ejgiftcards are thieves and liars, not only do they scam the card seller but also the card buyer, not only did they stole my money but they also attacked my integrity and credibility saying that I sold them a card with 0 balance, yeah right, I sold them a card with 160.00 dollars in balance, they made the card 0 balance then they sell that same card to another person, a buying costumer, of course the person is going to complaint then they are going to said that they can't pay because the card buyer complaint, they are thieves and liars and are unwilling to pay even less than half of the card real value because they wants all the money for themselves.
I wonder how they can still be on business after so many complaints, why the fbi or some other agency don't shut them down

same bad experience as many other, sold 160 dollars gift for less than half of the price, just 73 dollars, they never paid me the 73 dollars and never answered none of my 10 emails, can anyone give me any kind of advise, where should I complaint or what company do I need to contact to feel a complaint and report this fraud

They are thieves. I agreed to an exchange of my $200 gift card for $106. They told me it would take 3 business days to process. It has been more than that and on a hunch I checked my gift card balance and it is now at zero! They stole my gift card and have not paid one red cent for it. I am posting reviews everywhere in the hopes that they either 1) pay me or 2) get recognized for the scam that they are.

My wife and I stumbled across this review board after being defrauded out of money by EJ Gift Cards.
We encourage all others who have had similar experiences to take the time to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the RevDex.com. The online complaint forms don't take much time, and are well worth the effort. If enough complaints are filed, this criminal company might finally face the legal and financial consequences it deserves.
Our story is the same as countless others, which you can view on numerous review sites (search "EJ Gift Card reveiws" and read each negative one.. Purchased a gift card for over $400 that ended up having a $0 balance. Months of unanswered emails and phones messages. Hours on spent on hold. Calls disconnected. False assurances our claim was being investigated with no follow up. Lies about computer glitches and lost correspondence and bank transaction errors. Promises our claim was resolved and refund was on the way. Still the stolen money never materialized in our bank account.
Bottom line: EJ Gift Cards sells worthless goods and then fights a war of attrition with defrauded customers to avoid refunding swindled money. Look no further than the negative comments on message boards to see the pattern of behavior.
If you find this post after being cheated, as my wife and I did, I encourage you to do as we did and follow through on filing complaints! One complaint won't set off an alarm, but many defrauded customers speaking up over time will make someone will take notice.

I have attached two documents.. one is the picture of the screen of error message that he (Sam S[redacted]) said he was receiving every time he tried to put my payment through into my [redacted] account. (that was the attachment in his last email to me a few days ago, he has not responded since. ...
The second attached document is the very first email I received form Sam the day or day after I completed the electronic sale of the Williams Sonoma Gift card..I is his email to me containing the invoiced receipt of my sale of the card to his company, it includes the gift card description, gift card number as well as its pin number and the amount of the gift card as well as the amount offered to me and also the amount which is the same as the offer which was supposed to be deposited into my [redacted] account weeks ago. if you need any further info just reach out to me again and I will get it to you.
