My trash cans were taken without receiving a bill in months due to the Thomas Fires that ripped through southern California specifically Oak View and OjaiThe only indication that I had that I was in danger of losing a public service that has been monopolized is in a phone message saying my trash cans would be taken if I didn't pay the bill in full no indication of said amount no bill was sent out a week later my trash cans were takenThis is not the first time either but they didn't allow my bill to get soo high last time and we have a good record for paying our regular trash bill on time over the coarse of several years ONLY when the Thomas Fires hit that we deviated from that record due to the fire conditions that EJ Harrison was fully aware ofThey claimed to have sent out a bill on 12/13/but the fires started on 12/4/causing everything to shutdown for weeks on end, no one could work or get out of the area due to the massive amounts of toxic smokeAgain EJ Harrison wa

review the account and we don’t show record that Mr. C[redacted] called to cancel his services in 2015. We kept sending bills out and we never got a mail return and we did speak to him August 24, 2015 (a) 12:00 p.m. and he stated to the customer service representative that he was sending a check $73.10 and it was returned to him because he forgot to put a stamp on the envelope and he did not mention that he cancelled his service.
We are willing to give him credit if he can provide us with proof that he moved. We will accept a copy of his final closing electrical bill or gas bill so, we can give him credit. If you need further assistance please feel free to contact me ###-###–#### Ext. #3314

them know that they did not
pick up one of my Green waste trash cans on pick-up day.  The customer
service representative told me I should...

cans. This was a shock to hear because this has been the basic service
they have been providing to me and EJ HArrsion and Sons were the ones
who initially started me out with this service.  When I started service with this company I asked them for basic service. When they came to deliver my trash cans they delivered to me 1 regular trash can, 1 recycle and 2 Green Waste Trash cans. When they made this delivery they made it clear to me that basic service is 1 Regular Trash Bin, 1 recycle Bin, and 2 Green Waste Bins. I have had that same basic service for a year. Now they want to change my service arbitrarily without any reason, notifications or warning. It is wrong that when this company gives you the trash cans for the service you ask for and now they want to take it away. I have no way to acquire extra trash cans. The only way I can have extra trash cans is if they deliver them to me upon my request, and I have never made that request in the year I have been with them. This company, EJ Harrsion and Sons were the ones who delivered me the 2 Green Trash Bins, I did not ask for any extra trash bins, I only asked for basic service. They are the ones who set the precedent on my basic service.  I will not pay an extra $17 for an extra Green Waste Trash Can, and I should not have to pay back fees for a mistake that they made, not me.  I am just asking for EJ Harrison and Sons to honor the original service agreement, of 1 regular trash bin, 1 recycle bin, and 2 green waste bins they have been providing me for a year now. Tragically, there is no other Trash service company that I can go with in my area so I am stuck with them and their high service fees.  Also after 2 weeks, I am still currently waiting for a return phone call from Lynn Harrison. It would seem to me that good customer service and courtesy should be a priority for companies.

best service possible.  Our records indicate he only called twice and both times the problem was addressed.  The first time he called 06/20/14 for a yard waste miss and we sent a driver back to empty his container.  The second time he called 09/12/14 for a yard waste miss it was notated that his container was overweight due to placing excessive dirt in the container.  We did send a truck back once he off loaded some of the dirt then an order was placed for the area supervisor to call him to address his concerns but, the phone number he provided us just rang and had no voice mail.   We do expect our customers to follow guidelines so, we can service them with no problems. It is the driver’s job to inspect containers to make sure our loads are not contaminated.  The reason that the Customer has not been serviced is that he stopped paying us for our services so, his account was stopped for nonpayment.  We had been trying to remove our containers for nonpayment and leaving notices since December 2014 and the Customer was not setting out our containers.  We finally retrieved them 06/19/15 and the yard waste container was contaminated and had trash in it.  We feel that we have worked with the Customer and feel that there is no merit for this complaint.  I have enclosed documentation of the Customer’s account.  If you have any further questions feel free to contact me at ([redacted]) [redacted]-[redacted] Ext#[redacted].

Review: Upon starting service with this company they stated and dropped off 2 green waste trash cans and have been collecting both of these trash cans for 13 months now. They have set a precedent for 13 months. On Fri. Nov. 14, 2014 they came and collected both of my green waste cans. When I called them to let them know they told me that I should only have 1 green waste trash can. I explained to them that when I started service 13 months ago that I was to get 2 green waste as my service and now they are no longer honoring our agreement that was set 13 months ago and want to either charge me now for the extra bin or not allow me to have it. I have spoken to multiple associates about my situation and non of them could help. I was then transferred to Lisa Harrison and she was unable to help me and told me to speak with the general manager, I believe his name is [redacted]. I have called him twice and left a message both times and still no phone call back. It has been over a week now. So customer service is also very poor.Desired Settlement: Would like to have them continue to collect 2 green waste trash cans with no additional cost.

Review: I have had an issue with the person who collects my brown bin. The man has a personal issue with me in which has affected my trash service. 1st off when I asked him about dumping my brown bin, he rudely walked away in the middle of the conversation. Then he personally inspects my can for any violations he can find, while the rest of the street goes unchecked. I have been refused service for all sorts of minor issues, and then after calling EJ harrison they then came out on saturday and dumped it. After contacting E[redacted] twice about this issue they still have decided to do nothing about it. I have an outstanding bill with them for trash service when they were not providing the service that they are under contract to provide. They have violated 3 sections of there contract with the city in which they are obliged to follow, because they have a monopoly on the trash service. They are clearly taking advantage of this to provide an inferior service because the residents have no alternative. I have talked to other people on the street who have had similar problems with this trash man. I would have picked another trash service months ago, if only I had another option, but I don't. If I still get nowhere with this, I plan to go down to the city to file a formal complaint, and hopefully we will get someone who will do the job that I pay for and not take advantage of it, as EJ harrison has clearly done.Desired Settlement: I would like my bill plus the 6 months worth of inferior service I have been receiving credited to my new bill. I want the man removed from the route, right now.

Review: On Friday, August 9 2013, EJ Harrison failed to pick up the recycled waste as scheduled. I called on Monday and was told it would be picked up that very day. This didn't happen, so I called again Tuesday and was told it would be picked up on Wednesday. I asked to speak to a supervisor about a bill adjustment, as I hadn't received the service as billed and was connected to a line, where I left a message. The following day, I left town for a week, and nobody returned my call. I tried two more times to speak to a representative about a bill adjustment, and still did not have my calls returned. Finally, during yet another call to their customer service line, I was connected with a man I was told was in charge of scheduling. I explained the situation and requested a bill adjustment. He said he would take it to his supervisor. That's the last I heard from him, and I just got my bill and there has been no adjustment.I'm dissatisfied with the failure to pick up the can (more than once), but far worse is the lack of response from this company. There is no alternative, as no other garbage collectors are available in the area. This doesn't mean they should treat their customers with a lack of respect.Desired Settlement: -Bill adjustment of $25-Contact with a supervisor who can explain to me why Ej Harrison repeatedly failed to return my calls.

Review: via email **d phone **d they refuse to take responsibility. The driver who picked up the container at ** W Mission Ave., Ventura CA on April 17 appeared to be new on the job because he had trouble m**euvering. He went back **d fourth m**y times **d even went into the driveway across the street. The neighbor **d others came out to watch because it was taking so long **d we all knew he was no expert. When he finally attached the container, he tilted it so high **d he scraped the pavement **d severely damaged it.

When I contacted Harrison, they requested that I email them ** estimate for the repair, which I did. They initially denied the claim because they said they were “not responsible”. I appealed **d asked for ** expl**ation because there were several witnesses who watched the Harrison employee negligently remove the container. I was told that “M**agement” would look into it. I never received a call **d I called back several times **d spoke with D** who didn’t have **y **swers.

Their driver was negligent **d caused damage to my driveway totaling $750 in repairs. If the driver had not tilted the container so high, the damage would not have been caused. I have pictures of the damage to prove the extent **d witnesses willing to testify if need be.Desired Settlement: Repair the damaged driveway totaling $750.00.

Review: I contacted Customer Service for E.J. Harrison & Sons Inc, on Thursday, November 14, 2013 because our "trash" had not been picked up on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. I was advised that the trash would be picked up on Friday, November 15, 2013. The trash had been picked up and the "yard waste" had still not been picked-up. On the weekend of November 16, 2013, I left an after hour message about our "yard waste" not being picked up when the regular trash had been on November 15, 2013. I was left a message on Monday, November 18, 2013 that in order to get our "yard waste" picked up it would cost an additional $10 basically because I did not specify "trash and YARD WASTE" with my initial call on November 14. I call the office back for clarification and was told that "per management it was going to cost $10 for the yard waste to be picked up". I advised the representative that I was paying for a service that I did not receive and would be contacting the Revdex.com. We have been customers for over a year and a half, no late payments, penalties etc. and the "trash" was not picked up like it should have been. It was not picked up because we did not get it out in time, it was just NOT picked up by the E.J. Harrison & Sons, Inc. employees. Then to be told that we would have to PAY $10 to have the "YARD WASTE" picked up because I did not specify "trash and yard waste" when it did not get picked up is absurd. E.J. Harrison & Sons Inc, knew what "trash" was to be picked up on that cycle. I had more yard waste in my backyard that needed to be disposed of and I have to two more weeks to get the "yard waste". We are just "stunned and very upset" that we would have to pay for something that was not our fault.
